Hi,

I left my car 7-8 months in garage, did no drive at all, some time started engine to lubricate. Today I started engine and I was going to take a ride after long time, it works fine if you have foot on gas, if it is on idle it shuts down!!!! rpm goes up and down and shuts down. I remember that this car did not have battery for a few days. do u guys know what might be a problem? Computer? memory? need reprogram? Anybody had this problem?

Thanks

did you have fuel treatment in the fuel?

gasoline can go bad in as little as a month

the injectors could be sticky...the fuel pump.

how did you store it?

did you just park it and do nothing to it?

did you put a new battery in it?

Battery is new, I changed 6 months ago, it has 12v, alternator ok 14 v charge.
It was stored in garage for more than 6 months, i started engine every two weeks, but never drove it.
I never put gasoline treatment, I recently fill up the tank.
How to check rate of charge for computer module? any instructions for this?

Thanks

I took out my battery on my 04 edeavor so I could clean the posts well and when I reinstalled it would not idle at all, just died. It drove okay but when I came to a stop I had to rev the engine. Did this for about 5-10 minutes and then it was okay. Unhooked the posts months later and when rehooked it did it all over again. Now it wants to cough, burp, and choke when I stop, okay not as bad but will stall occasionally. Just don't know about this. Could it be from clogged injectors from some of the ethanol gas???
