1982 JA Starion. Picked it up as a rotting (bog stock standard) wreck in my mate's garage (7 years undriven , and very original with no rust !).
Runs a standard SOHC 4g63 , TC-05 turbo , 10psi. Mods include type III BOV , intercooler , Crippled anti-pollution gear , Jetvalves welded shut , JB starion LSD , Factory VELNAS system fitted. Dunno about HP but this car is UNDERSTOCK considering it's running only the TC-05 from the cordia (JA/JB starions were released with the TC-06) , I'm able to get 14.9 0-400m with little or no wheelspin.
One great thing about this car , NO CAT !!! and it's legal , pre-unleaded days !!!
Plans in the works for a 4g64 (2.4ltr) running a hyundai twin cam head (VR4 copy , but cheaper and more readily available) , and of course MPI & bigger turbo. |
