trailer plug to car probem

We hooked a trailer up to our one and has stuffed all the lights up, For example we turned the hazard lights on and the cars brakes flashed, and when we apply the brakes we get brakes and the drivers indicator are solid.

can anyone help me with anything?

Somethings wrong with the wiring - either car side or trailer.

If trailer came with wiring I would guess the car wiring is wrong.

You have to switch wires for brake lights and signal/hazard lights.

Stores like princess auto, canadian tire, maybe even walmart or similar businesses have trailer pin out testers you can purchase for very little money that can help isolate the issue to the car or the trailer.

They are made for all kinds of pin outs.
