Angry 03 Spyder GS A/C does not cool

Bought a 03 Spyder in March. It has had a boatload of issues. The biggest being it overheated and blew a head gasket. My husband replaced the thermostat and my son replaced the head gasket. Since then it has not overheated that as in November. A few days after the repair we noticed the a/c stopped cooling and also the drivers window went up. Ugh we live in Florida! So my husband just replace the regulator with motor and the window works. However now the alarm is going off every time you open the door! LOL we think we figured out that and will troubleshoot it tonight. So now we need to figure out the A/C. Compressor kicks on, fan lows and Freon is full. Any ideas?

freon full and no bubbles in dryer as the engine runs.... that is good

clutch kicks in and out and no air con ......very strange

are the directional flaps working ?

does the aircon cooling fan in the engine bay kick in straight away .....if not system wont cool

if fan kicks in .....could be a stuck TX valve in the air con system

...

I lived in Florida for a while too so I know that pain. Since you're driving a mitsubishi, you're not dealing with "black death" a/c issues so that's good. I'd think you maybe blew your blower motor but there are a bunch of factors to consider. Here's an article on general car air conditioning troubleshooting that might steer you in the right direction. But I'm guessing blower motor.

As for the alarm , there is a door trigger on the lock cylinder and the lock latch actuator > either one of these will trigger the alarm when either manually unlocking the door ( the door lock cylinder directional trigger for one ) if its damaged from replacing the window regulator or unplugged and you unlock the door with the key , since the actuator directional trigger doesnt pick up its being turned it will think its being broken into .

As for the AC , make sure both cooling fans are operating , none of the lines are kinked , make sure it isnt over charged and make sure the compressor is actually working. The compressor clutch can be engaging but the compressor is broken internally .
