Auto to Manual Swap

With my auto transaxle out of commission, I am looking to swap it with a manual one.

My F4A22 just went out and I am thinking about swapping a F5M22 from a 1G Eclipse/Talon/Laser including all of the other necessary things like pedals, clutch master cylinder, etc.. I've heard that the 6G Galant is just a 4 door Eclipse so it should just bolt up. Or am I missing something?

Any advice or leading me in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Here is more info on my Galant:
Year: 1992
Trim: Base
Transmission: Auto, FWD
Engine: I4, SOHC, 2.0L, 4G63

The hole and the bolt pattern for auto and manual for the brake / brake and clutch
will not be the same - OEMīs just weld in different panels into the body.

You just might be lucky but I donīt think so.
Check at a wrecker if there is a difference.

Lotīs - too many to list - hole in the tunnel may also not fit.
Brackets on body fit for auto but not for manual - different bolt pattern and placement.

OEMīs tend to make the brackets for a specific transmission.
Just a spot welded bracket - different for each transmission - be it manual or auto or a bigger auto for bigger engine.
