UK 2010 Outlander diesel - MPG?

Just purchased a 2010 Outlander Juro PSA Diesel with the SST gearbox. What realistic MPG should I expect? I'm talking real world, not Government figures, which are meaningless....

The EPA numbers are actually a good baseline, in low traffic casual driving and decent weather conditions it's quite possible to exceed the EPA ratings for a vehicle...

Now if you drive like me, and have gas stations that switch to winter fuel (maybe not applicable to diesels anyways), -30'c outside and several inches of snow on the ground with more to come, you will never get close to the numbers.

I know what you mean...we lived in Canada for 12 years and experienced 11 winters! That's what brought us back to the UK!
