What other size wheels and tires can I put on my 2014 Lancer GT than 18". For base models it says 16" would I be able to use them? I want to buy a 2nd set of wheels to put winter tires on since I live in the North East.

Minimum wheel size is typically determined by the brakes as they need to be able to clear them. I'm pretty sure the RalliArt/Evolution have larger brakes than the base lancer but I'm not sure if lancer variations like the 2.4L AWD non-turbo (name of trim level changes with some countries) has a different brake size for example.

If you can find a set of take offs from a base lancer that will definitely be cheaper. And I also think it is a good idea to be downsizing if you can for winters. Winter tires in low profile sizes start carrying odd ball inventory and typically more expensive pricing. Pricing is why even through my frontier came with 18s that the winters are on 17s (16-18 are factory sizes depending on trim) and why I kept the factory 16's as my Outlander's winter wheels.

If you can find them a set of take-off (ie another lancer wanted fancier wheels) is a great way to pick up a set of wheels especially for winter use.

Quick math.

205 * .6 = 123

215 * .65 ~ 140

The second tire is too high - circumference too large - odometer shows wrong speed - not allowed

225 * .55 ~ 124 that tire would not effect your odometer reading - legal

Rule of thumb - tire wider - the height to width ratio has to go down
