So I have run flat Tires on my 2010 lancer. I hit a pothole causing a tear in my tire. The Low tire pressure message came on and I had the tire replaced. The TPMS won't go off and the mechanic said it won't let him even reset it? Im not sure why or what to do. Each tire is at 35 (where it should be)

i thought TMPS only function was to monitor the tyre pressures
i could be wrong maybe the wheel sesnors have other functions
my thoughts
if it wont reset
possible problem at one of the wheel sensors or its main control module

was the mechanic using a diagnostic tool
or did a dis-connect battery terminals not work

just the one tyre go flat after the pothole ?
any inside rim damage

A tire shop will have the tools to ensure all the sensors are working correctly, and be able to re-sync all 4 sensors. With my frontier I actually drive around all winter with the light on because most shops want to charge for that service and the tools are in excess of $300 CAD to diy. If a sensor is not responding it will not report to the scanner, and could be damaged or the battery could be dead.

Also i'm not sure how Mitsubishi does it as my Outty is too old for TPMS, however the frontier also has two separate ways the TPMS light comes on. One blink pattern for a failure to connect (dead battery, different set of tires not synced etc), and a separate pattern for bad pressure. I'd expect something similar from Mitsubishi and it would be listed in the manual, read over that to ensure what it is actually complaining about.
