Hey guys, in need of some help ASAP. I don't know anything about these cars.. Bought one for my little brother for his birthday with no engine, picked up an engine for 150$ that came out of a 97.

Dropped it in and no spark.. I heard that you need to put a 96 cam shaft and crank shaft in and itll run? is that true? if so, what else must I do? I need help his birthday is less that 2 weeks away! thank you so much

2 reasons for no spark come to mind.

Ground wire for engine missing.

Immobilizer active.
