I admit, I've joined this forum with the sole purpose of exposing the nation's worst Mitsubishi dealer.
Tustin Mitsubishi, and their ownership and management group (specifically sales manager Tim McDonald) are wholly unethical and unprofessional. Doing their part to further stigmatize the entire car industry, this group of management miscreants proves a perfect example of why...

A very specific problem:: This '92 2.4 Liter fuel injection Mitsubishi motor starts and run beautifully, but after warmup the engine lite comes on and the engine shuts down. It will start and run again after a while, but repeats the same behavior.
Snap-On brand Engine diagnosis readout said the problem was in the distributor, but replacing the distributor changed nothing. The...

Just wondering if anyone has any experience using the Prestone Stop Leak products (http://prestone.com/products/coolingSystemTreatments.php) to fix a leak in the heater core or seals.
I get a wiff of maple syrup smell every so often so I am beginning to think that I am starting a small leak. Haven't seen any liquid on the floor or fogging of the window.
Is there any...

I test drove a 2007 Galant Gts and in order for me to get into the payment I wanted the saleman tried to talk me into this EZ pay plan they have... you get the new car and then after a year you bring it back to the same place and then they replace your car with a brand new one to finish off the loan... I decided not to do it because it sounded to good to be true, and that first year was too much...

A camaro z28 has a v8. A mitzubishi 3000gt has a v6. A nissan 300zx has a v6

WHy is a Mitzubishi vr-4 said to be faster than the above? how much horsepower does it have and does it really have twin turbo?

This is probably a dumb sounding question but my son has a 93 Laser and one of his friends says he can easily swap the 1.8 with a 2.2 from a Honda, I know you can put motors from other makes into cars but most of the time it is more costly and a pain than just using a motor made for your car. Just wondering!

I disconnected the battery on my 98 Montero Sport to work on my stereo a few days before I went in for a Smog test...It failed only because a few of the sensors on the OBDII have not reset themselves. I discovered that "specific drive cycles" are required by Mitsubishi's from 97-01 to reset these sensors. Other brand imports are not as specific and only require a minimal drive...

Hi All,
I am new to the Mitsu family, and wanted to know how your vehicles have handled so far.... I was iffy on buying a Mitsubishi instead of a Toyota or Honda, but bought a 2004 Outlander anyways because of the warranty and the free service plan. Any thoughts on longevity?
Thanks,

Q: What is 'Rice'?
A: This is a perennial question on the Neon Message Boards. Generally, being 'ricey' centers around having a lot of Touring style appearance items without any actual performance modifications, but that's not the whole story. Just adding gargantuan exhaust tips, tall spoilers, multitudinous stickers, ground effects, driving lights, hood pins, huge...

I've got an '04 Outlander with about 40k miles on it. I change the oil regularly, usually with Mobil 1, but for the last two changes, I used Castrol GTX (for no particular reason other than to try it.)
Now I want to switch back to Mobil 1, but I was reading that if you switch from petroleum-based oil to synthetic, you should use a flushing oil first.
Should I worry...

I have never heard of this before. Was this just a coincidence or do Magnas have some kind of sensor that...

Yeah, I fucked up when I bought the car, and it's to late to go back and demand cruise control. So anyways, can I put a 3rd party setup in there? I called the dealership and they said they couldn't put one in for me, and suggested I go third party.
Any suggestions on how I should go about doing this, or where I should go? I live near San Jose, CA. thanks!

Hi everyone,
I've been reading a lot of car mags recently and in the accessories advertisments I keep seeing these cold air intake kits. They look cool and say that they improve mileage and boost up engine HPs. Well my question is are these new stuff compatible to old cars like say, my 1983 lancer? If not, what would be a good alternative? Thanks in advance and more power to all.
