Ok, im trying to figure out the name and artist of this song that plays in the new mitsubishi spring time sales event commercial, the commercial is all the mitsubishi models shown one by one driving down a road with alot of forest around it. in the song that plays they only play one part ot it and it goes like:
"yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-Yeah!!!"
If anybody knows what the song is and who sings it your help would be greatly appreciated by me and anybody else wondering what the song is.

Hi All,
Brand new to this forum with an urgent question as a potential buyer in Australia.
Looking at four-wheel drive utes (pickups) and thinking about pushing the button on a new Triton GLX-R which looks pretty good on paper and has stacked up well in the test drives. Didn't like the new Toyota HiLux, nor the Holden Rodeo, and it has really come down to the Nissan Navara or the Mitsubishi Triton.
However, Mitsubishi's financial troubles are well known (well at least to some of us). As far as I can tell these are not specific to the the car company part of Mitsubishi, which has had its share of problems but probably not much more than any other car manufacturer. However, after a bit of bad press in Aus over the last few months Mitsubishi has fought back with (among other things) a very attractive 10 year warranty program. Problem is, if there is no Mitsubishi car company around in a few years what will that warranty be worth? What if Mitsubishi is bought out by another car company, or just shuts down? What will happen to the warranty/service contract?
Interested in any thoughts you have on this one. I would like to think that Mitsubishi's would be looked after by another dealer - but would this happen? If so, would that new dealer honor the warranty? Hard to get any Mitsubishi dealers I have talked to to comment/speculate on this issue, but it is a genuine concern. What do readers of this forum think?
Cheers,
Digix

I've found a New Zealand site that sells various hi-tech books, including car manuals. I just ordered the manual for my RVR. It looks legit, and hopefully I should get my manual in the next few days.
Here's the link for the Mitsibushi manuals that stock

Do mitsubishi use adaptive learning strategies in their cars?? anybody know?
I know some Ford's the transmission adapts automatically when it knows its pulling a load, but does mitsubishi employ any of these strategies?
Answers
Mitsubishi's from TE onwards use ALS in their auto transmissions and adapt shift feel to the drivers driving style, and when i asked the local dealership service dept. they said if you disconnect the battery the dealer has to reset the ALS, but i know that it should readjust itself, like the Ford ALS trannies which take 10-30 minutes to re-adapt.

[attachmentid=300]The Mitsubishi Lancer WRC05 made a highly-successful debut in the 2005 FIA World Rally Championship and, in the hands of French Tarmac experts Gilles and Hervé Panizzi, claimed third position - the Lancer WRCs best-ever result and the team’s first podium placing since the 2001 Safari Rally. Team newcomers Harri Rovanperä and Risto Pietiläinen also fulfilled the team’s objective of reaching the finish of one of the toughest events in the championship and they too claimed points for themselves and Mitsubishi by finishing seventh in their first Tarmac rally in three years.
So whats everyones opinion on this,Was a Brilliant result but luck played a big role in both drivers positions,At least its a sign of things to come and panizzi did win a stage, the first time the team have one a stage since new zealand 2001.the lancer looked awesome flying round the stages.

This year MMSP will be entering a total of five factory-built cars in the 2005 Telefónica-Dakar Rally.
The team is bidding for a fifth consecutive and 10th overall victory in the grueling African event, which starts in Barcelona, Spain, on 1st January 2004. With the backing of Spain’s largest oil company, Repsol YPF SA as its main sponsor, the MMSP team will comprise four Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero Evolutions and one Mitsubishi L200 Pick-Up.
The five works MMSP prepared Mitsubishis will be piloted by a successful and experienced line-up of drivers. Spearheading the Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero Evolution assault will be Japanese twice former winner Hiroshi Masuoka, who will be co-driven by the German Andreas Schulz, and French defending champion Stéphane Peterhansel, who boasts six two-wheel victories in the event and who celebrated his first victory with Mitsubishi in 2004. His team mate will be Frenchman Jean-Paul Cottret. Masuoka won the recent UAE Desert Challenge and clinched victory in the Dakar in 2002 and 2003.
Frenchmen Luc Alphand, a former World Cup ski champion, together with co-driver Gilles Picard, and Spain’s Joan (“Nani”) Roma, the overall winner of the motorcycle category in 2004, will drive a third and fourth Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero Evolution. Roma is to be partnered by Andorra-based Henri Magne.
Germany’s Andrea Mayer finished fifth overall last year and will drive the sole Mitsubishi L200 Pick-Up. Mayer will be co-driven by a new team mate, the Frenchman Jean-Michel Polato.
MITSUBISHI MOTORS REPSOL ATS STUDIOS TEAM – 2005 DAKAR RALLY ENTRIES:
Stéphane Peterhansel (F)/Jean-Paul Cottret (F) Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero Evolution
Hiroshi Masuoka (J)/Andreas Schulz (D) Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero Evolution
Luc Alphand (F)/Gilles Picard (F) Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero Evolution
Joan Roma (E)/Henri Magne (F) Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero Evolution
Andrea Mayer (D)/Jean-Michel Polato (F) Mitsubishi L200 Pick-Up
Anyone else think they can take the win.
They seem to have good drivers and the pajero evolution seems like a strong car and well up to the job but with nissn , Volkswagen and others it wont be easy

Hello people, I just thought i'd drop a line a say hello to the forum as its my first post. I don't have a mitsubishi at all, I have a peugeot 205, I come on the forum though to find out why the engine produces the power it does though especially the lancer series. I am a huge fan of the lancer though, and would love one, but at the moment my student loan won't strech to it.
I am bascially putting a 1998cc 8 valve turbo engine into my peugeot 205 at present, the specs im rebuilding it to are quite high, but im searching for why it only makes 150bhp standard one of the reasons are the low pressure turbo as standard 0.4bar. But even when the boost is increased to 1bar it struggles to produce 200bhp. I think at the moment the main restriction is the T25 turbo and the design of the manifold.
Anyway i thought id just say a quick hello, and hope to be asking some questions soon.
cheers lee

Just goes to show mitsi can still build class leading cars
This is based on Euro colt
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation announced that the company's 5-door Colt compact car produced in Europe was awarded the coveted "Das Goldene Lenkrad" (Golden Steering Wheel) by the German Sunday newspaper "Bild am Sonntag," published by Axel Springer AG. The European Colt was presented the award for its status as the "Best in Class One (Small Car category)" in a ceremony held in Berlin on November 10 and attended by some 400 representatives of political and financial circles, print and TV media and the world of sport.
Colt becomes the fourth Mitsubishi Motors model to win the Golden Steering Wheel award, fol-lowing the Galant (Japanese name: Galant-Sigma) in the mid-size category in 1984, the Colt (Japanese name: Mirage) in the small car category in 1988, and the Pajero (Shogun in U.K.) in the off-road category in 1992.
Mitsubishi Motors' Chairman and CEO Yoichiro Okazaki had the following to say about the award: "I am delighted that Colt has been presented the Golden Steering Wheel, an award distinguished by its long history and prestigious status. The Colt series will play a vital role in the continued growth of Mitsubishi Motors operations in Europe, which moved into the black for the first time in the 2003 fiscal year. In bestowing high critical acclaim to Colt's product qualities, the award will serve to boost the morale not only of personnel working in our European operations but also of everyone in the Mitsubishi Motors group of companies that is currently in the process of regenerating its op-erational base."
The jury cited the quality of workmanship, versatility, seating comfort, space offering, operating comfort, cost performance and excellent road performance as the key factors in its decision to award Colt the Golden Steering Wheel.
Seen by many as the equivalent of a German Car of the Year award, the coveted Golden Steering Wheel was first presented in 1976 and this year celebrates its 29th anniversary. With a readership of 10.7 million, the Bild am Sonntag boasts the largest circulation for a Sunday newspaper in Europe and is way ahead of other similar publications in terms of popularity and influence. All new models launched on the German market during that year are considered by the Golden Steering Wheel jury which presents the award to the "Best Car" in each of several categories such as small size, mid-size and large size. In the Small Car category, Colt held off competition from such top sellers as the smart forfour, Renault Modus, Fiat Idea, Peugeot 1007, Lancia Musa and the Kia Picanto. The jury's vote bears testimony to the high critical acclaim accorded Colt in Germany, a country that is as stringent in its assessment of automobiles as Japan.
The award-winning European Colt is produced at Mitsubishi Motors' subsidiary NedCar in Borne, the Netherlands. The series had its European launch in May this year and recently added 1.1L gasoline and diesel versions to its line up. In a move designed to further expand sales in Europe, the company plans to bring the 3-door Colt CZ3 and the 150 PS turbocharged Colt CZT per-formance model to market in early 2005.
Prior to its Golden Steering Wheel accolade, the European Colt was voted "Car of the Year in Denmark 2005" by the Danish Automotive Journalists Club and "Compact Car of the Year 2004" by the Kampioen magazine published the Dutch automobile association, ANWB.
