I have a 1998 Lancer coupe and am looking at doing some performance upgrades and just want to know if im thinking along the right lines in terms of power gains.
First, i already have a 2 1/2 inch stainless exhaust and was thinking of upgrading the factory headers to something better, Any suggestions?

So I've heard from many different people that you should take it easy (below 3K rpm) for about 1500km. I have also heard you should do that till 3000km. I have also heard that you should run it hard for the first 20-30km and take it easy afterwards. What is the proper way of breaking in a new motor?
Also, do I have to change the oil every 100km or so?

i have a 87 starion 2.6l turbo
any body know why my car may be cutting out around say 3000 to 4000 rpms and it kinda has alittle of a loopy idle like it jumps from 650 to 800 constantly. idk wat it may be kinda sounds like a fuel problem to be but idk were to start pls hlp
oh and can someone tell me how to use the safc cause its confusing

About a month ago I started noticing Whitish color smoke coming from my exuast. I was told that I was burning real rich, but wasn't told how to fix it, I was wondering if any of you out there could help me to fix this problem, I do believe that I am burning alot of extra fuel because my gas milelage has went down, alot!

i bought a 95 eclipse gs reasently and every thing works great exept for the gas pedal. im not sure if this is an eclipse thing or what but the gas pedal is really stiff. i know its not the throtle body cuz i exchanged it and i dont know what else it could be. anyone got some ideas?

Hey all I own a 05 Ralliart and am thinking of putting a short ram intake. I did a bunch of research on it and some say because the tube is so short and stuff when air is sucked in it creates such a turbulance that it messes with my sensors and stuff. Has anyone had any problems when instaling a short ram on their Ralliart such as needing to replace a sensor, ECU ect....

**Edit - wife had it changed at the dealer, so a DIY is not necessary.
Is there a do it yourself for the Idle Speed Control/Idle Air Controller for a 2000 Eclipse GS?
It looks like a unbolt/bolt job but I'm not familiar with these cars.

The tranny in my GS-T is on its way out, and I'm not exactly in good financial shape. Any suggestions on what I can do that will cost the least money? I'm aware that there are no "cheap" alternatives to anything transmission-related. I'm trying to find a used transmission, at least until I have the money to get a new one. Are there any other cars that use the F4a33?

Hi all... I have a 1995 L200 4x4 powerded by a 4D56 turbo diesel.
When its real cold at night it goes well....
So im thinking can I fit an intercooler to this engine (i thing the pajeros have one fitted but im not sure) to make it go better during the day?
Also Im getting 6 psi boost on the turbo, is this normal, what should I be getting and how much more can I give it...

Spent the past few weeks having the shaft completely polished out and the blower and chroming the pipes. This is a service I offer to clients of course which is why I had this piece done for my promo car. If you have something you would like a similiar service done, let me know.
I took pics of it on the garage floor so you can gauge the shine accurately in reference to the reflection...

My 1998 Mitsubishi eclipse cut off while drive. There are no warning lights it just switches off. I have changed my fuel pump and the crank shift sensor. I can unhook the + battery cable and hook it back up and it will start again. It will run a few miles and cut off again. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this. It is a RS with a 5 speed.

hey, my 97 model triton glx is lacking power an the fuel econmy is down, about 5.5kms per litre.
no we've had it checked on the dyno an the air fuel mixture is fine..the fuel lines/pump is also good an the timing is also good.
mitsubishi couldn't tell me wats wrong
does anyone have any other ideas of wat it may be be??

i was talking to this guy today and i told him i got the header and all and i said something bout getting a high flow cat, and he told me that if i do that my car will slow down even more becuase i will loose compression and back pressure off the motor..... i was arguing becuase why would they make high flow cats if they make you go slower?? just let me know whats up

My 98 eclipse GST o2 sensor is cut. The one located near the catalytic converter. I dont even know what its cut but i failed by air care cause the numbers are too high. So my question is how do i re wire it and why would someone cut the wires to it in the first place?

I'm getting ready to move to Minneapolis in a few days, and I was poking around the internets, trying to figure out if I'll need to look at getting a block heater. Our car is a 03 Lancer ES, and it's given us almost no trouble since we got in it '04. It currently has 75k miles, and gets regular oil changes and maintenance.

ive got a 93 nimbus efi motor
the problem is that it revs up and down at a idle
ive disconeted the wires going to the air flo meter and it stoped the same with the throttle body plug reconect them and the problem comes back it reves between 1200 up to 1500 and back down
ive tryed moving the throttle body adjustment where it plug in around and it runs smooth but at...
