OK, here's a fun one that I got off of another forum. What you do is you post whatever you want here, it doesn't have to be relevant to ANYTHING. It can be car-related or just plan b.s. I want to see how long we can keep it going and how funny we can make it. On the other forum, it was started in 2002 and is still going!
I will start it off:
So, basically I am stuck at work with nothing to do so I am making something to do.

This is a post that went quite well on another message board and it's fun to. It's a game called 'This or That". Here are the rules.
1) A senario is given and there is a choice "this or that"
2) The first person to answer gets to make a new senario
3) This is not a debate, once the senario is answered, move on and make a new senario.
4) please take the me and read everyone elses answers and senarios, so that they aren't repeated.
5)It can be about absolutly anything.(ie. beer or liquor, turbo or s.c, evo or sti) the fastest response gets it there way and they get to make their own senario. I'll start.

You're probably already aware that we have decided to split this in to two sections.
1. Off Topic - This section will have LITTLE to NO moderation. Flaming will only be tolerated in this section and if you are easily offended this may not be the best part of the board for you. With that said, racial slurs still are NOT tolerated anywhere on this board. Topics still may be moved to more suitable locations if the need presents itself.
2. On Topic - This section will have moderation just like any other part of the board. Refer here:
http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t38836-we...to-on-topic.htmThanks, Enjoy!

I had to laugh at this one as I do most of the stories I post... I just question what goes through a person's mind when they come up with stuff like this I'm sure people do things similiar to this all of the time.
A Camden woman, facing arrest on some outstanding warrants, allegedly tried to distract police by making a fake 9-1-1 call Monday night.

heres my story, since i recently got back into the import scene iv noticed a few things, mainly a lot of stupid kids thinking there big shit because they have a 1990's civic with cut springs, and a advanced auto muffler.iv been building all sorts of cars since iv been 16. iv c notched frames, helped with body drops, bagged my car and others, cut hoods apart and motorized them to open and so on. iv pretty much had my hand in everything but turbos.im now 30 years old with a 4yr old and a wife.the other day i was going threw some twistie (not fast because i had my son with me)and here comes a p.o.s miata with the "miata" wrote acrossed the front windshield in big white letters (like i didnt know what it was) spray painted black hub caps and no exhaust, and this lil kid gives me a thumbs down and revs his car up at me.thought it was going to blow up.and then he swerved at me!!! i didnt have anywhere to turn around so i kept going, pissed that he swerved at me, i came home, made some calls, found out who he was. just some 20yr punk kid. now i dont care that he didnt like my car, everyone is intitled to there opion.hes still young and stupid in my book.so the next day i see his car at wal mart, and get his plate # and called the cops . good for me that when they got there he was leaving and he was driving like an idiot, the cop got him for reckless driving and no exhaust.now if the dumb shit wouldnt have swerved at me with my son in the car i wouldnt of bothered with it.so i guess what im trying to say is have some respect for people, just because someone is in a import doesnt always mean there some dumb kid.theres alot of poeple that have familys/kids that are still into the sport.dont be a douche bag. thanks, i had to vent!!!!lol

there seems too be some confusion as too the definition of ricer...
Ricer:
A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster.
The most common modifications are (but not limited to):
- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Neon lights under and or in the car
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Cavaliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and Mitsubishi EVO's are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case.
The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles.
Honda Civics with big spoilers and 4" exhaust tips are considered to be ricers.
more examples--
"RalliArt" badging on a Honda
"Evolution" badging and bodykit attempt on 1989 Mirage
"Neuspeed" badging on 1997 Lumina
"Type-R" badge and 5" exhaust tip on 1980s Civic Wagovan
Double spoiler, 18" rims and Type-R badge on Geo Metro
Type-R badge on Ford Probe
anybody else?

I'm fairly new to this area and haven't been successful in finding a good tuner around me (west mass). I'm now open to travel up to 1.5 hours in any direction (NH, VT, RI, NY, NJ) to find a good shop that know what they're doing. Need someone who can work on mivec maps and not only a/f+timing.
As I always say, a custom build or a custom FI is as good as the tune that's put on it, so its very important that these guys know wtf they're doing.
P.S. I would post it in the US-North East section but that section is pretty much dead.

I have been watching toyota for many years. From the 1995-2010. To me the golden age of them was 1995 for most cars up to 2002. Yes there was the odd one under 1995. But not many.
So far I think that they have lost the car market and fallen behind the world in the car market.
Any one think the same?

Hey all,
Well I took part in the Marbella bangers (www.marbellabangers.co.uk) and driving 3000miles to Marbella and back in aid of Help for Heros and what an amazing experience.
First of all I just want to say a massive thank you to Alex and her team at DNAsigns (http://dnasigns.co.uk/new/) who did an amazing job with the custom vinyls on my carisma.
Really friendly and helpful bunch who know their stuff. Based in Towcester they are only 10miles from me in Milton Keynes and Im sure there are people here who need a trusted company for their vinyls. Thank you.
Photos can be seen here on my Facebook page and other team members websites just look for THE BEAGLE WAGON

Hey forum, unfortunately I went through a bad ran of luck with my mitsubishi's. I was involved in a head on collision (other driver crossed center line) with my Expo LRV and it was total'd. Also I was in the center of a chain reaction accident that wrecked my Evolution. And then my other project car was stolen. So after a lot of investigation and insurance I have this new car, its a 2001 Nissan Skyline GTR R34 Vspec2.

Got a lot of snow since Friday lots of accidents and idiots about. Had to clear the car off so we could out Saturday night. Was still snowing come Sunday. These pictures are from Saturday night.

The snow drift in front of the vehicle from passenger side.

From the front of the vehicle

When I first walked out to the car after using command start. Had left the rear wiper on when I parked it.

The snow bank from a few weeks ago when they cleared the parking lot last time now taller with more fresh snow 7+ feet high maybe closer to 8+ feet high.

I apologize to the mods for this, but it needs to be said, and I vote for this topic to be pinned for a week so it stays in view.
QUOTE (Jonny Lightning71 @ Dec 25 2010, 01:02 PM)
you guys say im some punk azz kid when you guys are still in highschool I am 19 years old and enlisted in the marine core. Talk crap over the internet you studio gangsters I hope I get f*kin banned this site is g4y and the people on this site got small diks and love to talk sh1t like none other and get a life.
I have a few things to say about the above statement:
Punk kids? Some of the guys on here are still kids in High School, yes. I don't consider them punks though. They also seem to possess a maturity level that is much higher than yours. Why don't you talk about growing up when you grow up yourself. Were you the little scrawny kid in High School with no friends or one of the guys who thought he was popular and just made fun of everyone to make himself look better? I just bring it up because you seem to fit both of those profiles so far and I can't make a decision without further information.
I'm not still in high school, and most of the people that have been talking shit on you aren't still in high school either. (That's right, I typed out shit. We don't block those words like the Honda forums you are used to typing on.)
You are enlisted in the Marines... Well guess what punk, so am I. Thanks for making us look bad. Being WAY north and south of pretty much any real Marine base that's not a training center, I'm guessing you are reserves? Very Manly. Or maybe you just enlisted and haven't gone to bootcamp yet. I am betting the latter is the case since I find it hard to believe you could come out of bootcamp with that attitude and mouth. Oh, and it's CORPS, not CORE you fucking disgrace!
Studio gangsters? What the fuck does that even mean? Is that anything like a keyboard racer or an e-thug? If so, I think you fit that description better than any of us. The only thing keeping me from kicking your teeth in is the fact that I'm deployed right now and can't make a quick trip up to kick the shit out of you and that rice bucket you call a car.
Small dicks... Why are you obsessed with the size of our dicks? I bet you are excited that Don't Ask Don't Tell got repealed, huh? Now you can put up that SWEET rainbow flag and don't have to hide it in your closet anymore!

I have a 95 2.5 litre diesel turbo that overheats when unde rload or going up a long gradiant hill.
I have a new oversized radiator, new thermostat, new hoses, new thermo fan.
It does not use any coolant or oil between services.
Done around 200,000 km on this motor.
HAS ANYONE ANY IDEAS AS TO WHY THE TEMPERATURE GUAGE RISES TO JUST UNDER THE RED.

I know some don't see the point in voting but please could you take a minute to vote for jack bealge.
He is the mascot for the marbella bangers race and any publicity for rasing money for charity is a good this surly..
Please every little vote counts - if you could forward the link on to others that would be fantastic

Is there any way to increase my gas milage.
I'm sorry, I should know this stuff, I need to come up with something.
I drive about 2 miles a day to classes, and about five to franlin once or twice a week, It should not take twenty bucks a week.
Also, is there any thing I can do to reduce my insurance, I am already at limited tort, and due to deer It is kind of necessary.
I need to find a way to cut costs anywhere I can, any way possible.
