this might be a stupid question but i was just wondering.alright if you go to
http://www.dynamicracing.com/customer/prod...&cat=190&page=1 it is a site where they sell Dynamic Racing GT3076R Ballbearing Turbo Kit for a 3000gt/stealth. i was wondering is there any way that you could have a base model or sl enigne and then put the kit on the that enigne. and also if you go to the link is that everything that you would need if this could happen
if so would it be a lot of work.
GT3076R Turbos
T3/T4 Headers
O2 Housings
External Wastegates
Oil Feed/Return Line Kit
Oil Restrictors
Hardware kit

Okay so I have the 1998 Mitsubishi 3000gt SL which has the power/economy switch. What I want to know is how big of a difference is there between power and economy? In addition to the power of an SL, i understand that it weighs around 3200 but alot of people say it has around an 8.5 second 0-60 which I don't think is true. I've made a video of me going 0-60 and windows media player records it as 7.4. My car has no modifications either. Also, when I switch the button to power, the PWR light should come on. In my car, it doesn't. I wanted to know why the light isn't coming on. If anybody could help me I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Hi I have a TT that is overfuelling, and throwing out loads of black smoke through the exhausts. The car will eventually foul the plugs, and then not start. I have changed the plugs, oil change (fuel in oil), checked ECU, and changed the MAF, but still no joy. Running out of ideas, as there are no fault codes or ECU light on. Any ideas?

i need help. my 1994 3000gt eninge died and i need to get a new eninge. i was wondering what type of high performance enigne are there that will fit in my 1994 3000gt base model without moding anything. so please i need help
or should i sell my car and buy a 1994 3000GT .The car has brand new front brake rotors/pads, a new clutch (~8000 miles), and a remanufactured engine that has only been in the car for 8000 miles. The car also has a $1000 exhaust system just put on in April. This consists of a custom aftermarket downpipe and a Borla 3" Catback exhaust. The clutch is a Spec Stage 2 clutch which is about 8000 miles old. The stereo system consists of a Sony head unit, Audiobahn amp, and a sony Xplod sub in a custom sub enclosure that fits into the side of the trunk. The car is lowered on adjustable ground control coilovers. Oil has always been changed at 3000 miles or less with Mobil 1 synthetic.
if i should sell it how much do you think i could get for the car without the enigne because it is worthless
thank you and i hope someone can help me out
please i need to know i might get a jasper here in a couple of days.

Have a '92 3000GT/Dodge Stealth that my

mechanic says needs a mass air flow meter (not too hard to find), but also needs an air intake plenum which I'm finding very difficult to locate. Any suggestions? The car didn't pass emissions inspection and this is the second mass air flow meter I've had installed (the last one was used but seemed to work ok although the check engine light remains lit all the time). When the car sits outside in the Texas heat, it stalls when downshifting to turn corners. It hasn't had a tune up in at least three years and I'm wondering if that could be part of the problem. Any help you can give would be massively appreciated.

Well my friend today was talking about how he wanted to order a kit car. I guess this is where you get all the parts and you put it together yourself. All the parts are new because they still make them (im not sure if thats true) and then you put it together like a new car. Lot of time and a lot of hassle but supposedly, he is getting a midnight skyline for about 7-8k cash. That's really cheap.
If I wanted to do this, how would I for a 3000gt or whatever car? Do they actually still make the parts and just not make the car whole anymore? How much time would be invested if this is my first time? And how much would it cost for a mechanic to do it and how would I find a good mechanic for a kit car?
Thanks for the help, I want a vr4

Hi,
My Pajero (6G7 engine like some 3000 GTs I believe) suddenly developed cold start problem a few weeks ago. It used to start first key turn every time. I've tried changing Distributor, throttle body, fuel filter, checked fuel pump pressure, new Ht leads, spark plugs, coolant temp sensor, ISC, TPS, etc and it still takes several attempts over say 20 or 30 seconds to get it going. Once it fires up it's great all day and runs like a dream. I'm running out of ideas....please help.
Kev.

I am thinking about buying a 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4. It has a shot transmission with about 125k on the entire car, including the tranny. I have heard that Kormex makes a transmission for the car. Is it a stronger tranny, is it just a rebuilt? I have e-mailed them 4 times and they still haven't contacted me with any of the info I asked for. I would like to find somebody that has bought one of their trannys, to tell me if they are any good. Also I would like to know how much they cost? Their website doesn't give much info. Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Hows it goin guys......a friend of mine has a 94sl and he's looking to mod it some.
It already has full exhaust, and a cai.
I'm not sure if this car falls into the mold of useless to mod like alot of fwd cars, so I dont know what to tell him. He wants to drop alot of cash on some mail order ECU that promises this that and the other thing, with the cars Im used to that type of investment is a no-no.
So what can he do to his car to make it somewhat not slow?
Thanks for the help,
Matt

hi mitsubishi guru guys
so i just bought a 97 mitsubishi 3000gt 5spd. i have some money and i wanna pimp it. i like that it's 2 wheel drive for the simplicity, and i was wondering if i could mate a 6G72 or SA12 or SA13 to the existing trans (with a new clutch of course)??????
also, i know that the SA13 is a 2.5 liter, but is the SA12 essentially the same internally as the 6G72??????? are the other two motors besides the 6G72 gonna share compatability with the parts for the SG72????
im sure im way off on this stuff, but i would like to know what options i have.
thanks so much

Hi,
I just imported a '91 GTO (Non-Turbo/Auto) for my partner.
Only major issue I have is the Speedometer and cruise control isn't working. A secondary issues is the SRS light is also on, but from what I have read it can be quite an exercise+$$$ to get this fixed, so I'm not immediately fussed about this.
Having looked at STIM, I tried to find the speed sensor to see if it had been disconnected, but didn't have much luck.
Before removing the instruments/checking connections, I thought I'd touch based with some experience GTO owners. Is this common on imports or is it more likely to be a genuine fault.
Any pointers or suggestions would be appreicated.
Regards
Rob

I just bought a 1994 3000gt auto none turbo, 75,000 miles. There is a shaking at idel, one exhaust has real hot air coming out and other has puttering air coming out. The car dosnt accelerate fast until its past 30 or 40mph.
Is this just a sparkplug/wire fix or could it be more. Just want to get your info before i take it to the shop.

Hey all,
I have a 1993 3000GT VR-4. I have been having a lot of trouble finding some new wheels for the car (my stock chrome wheels are in terrible condition and need to be replaced). I'm asking for help: What wheels will fit my vehicle? I know I have huge calipers which is the main source of the problem. I'm looking to stay with 17's. Any suggestions and general information would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1993 3000gt that started experiencing transmission issues last year for no apparent reason. The most common issues were spuratic shift patterns, sluggish shifting, overdrive would not always engage, etc. After trying to tech the problem myself I took the car to AAMCO, Mitsubishi, and a local performance/import shop, all of whom said there was no problem with the actual transmission, which makes since considering I had just had it rebuilt about 6 months before the problems started.
..since there was no answer in sight I learned to live with them, until last week.
I removed my ECU to replace the infamous Capacitors, and while doing so I started wonderign if maybe the TCM could have the same issue, though less published.. Long story short, upon removal of the TCM and inspection i noticed 3 badly blown capacitors near the bottom left corner of the board.. a little homework indicated these could be the source of my gremlins.
I was able to find another TCM from a 1993 Diamante LS (w/ overdrive) at the local salvage yard, but have yet to install it out of caution based on the warnings regarding using Diamante ECM/ECUs with the 3000gt.. but I havent been able to find anything online to indicate if it will work or not, so maybe one of you can help?
THe TCU/TCM has the ID of MD755012 on the top and appears to be the ame general unit as that in my 3000gt, but from what I have learned thus far regarding these cars, this detail means nothing when it comes to OEM parts
Please let me know if this will work, or if you have any other suggestions or information regarding repairing my current TCM
Thanks

Hello,
My GTO has started to have issues with the abs system, the light is staying on and the braking system is not working correctly, very rough on and off when abs is applied. I'm not quite shaw what the reason for this is but suspect a problem with the ecu, we have had issues with the battery recently which was replaced with a working one. Stil the problem remains.
it would be great
