Hey, im only a Sophomore in High School, but for the past few months I have fallen in love with the 3000GT. What im really wondering is why is everyone on the racing forum talking about Eclipse's? I would think that 3000GT's would be talked about more for racing, but im not sure, so any input would be helpful. a 3000GT would smoke an Eclipse wouldnt it? Thanks in advance.

just recently my car started getting hot around 70-80mph. When I first get on the interstate it will heat up really quick then go back down to normal but at night when it does this I noticed the head lights flickering. It is electric or do I just need to replace the thermostat. If so where is it.

Can anybody help me with this problem. Before I go drop money in a mechanic can anyone tell me where the thermostat is? I just got my 3000gt and I don't want to screw it up. I have a 98 3000gt 3.0. I am wanting to know what is the best and cheapest way of getting more power out of it.

I put a new starter in, and it still wont start. The ignition wire from the battery running to the starter doenst seem to have power. I'm don't want to spend 40 for a relay switch that I dont need. Is there any connections I should check, what else could it be? Is there some relay in between like the clutch switch stoping the connection? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Wyatt

First let me tell you a little about the car. It is a 91 3000gt vr4, it has a brand new 5 speed in it with a new factroy flywheel. It has a spec stage II clutch kit in it. He also put in a Stillen twin turbo downpipe with a borla cat-back exhaust system, I forgot it has an intake also. To kepe it short and simple, i'm trying to figure out what a warning light is trying to tell me. It's the one to the right of the tach, the third circle down. It looks like a water tank of some sort. The oil is full, same as the coolant. So, what's it trying to tell me? And i'm only asking because i don't have a owner's manual. Anyone know where i can get one?

I had all my belts replaced in feb when I had the 60000 mile service done on my 1994 gtsl . I just noticed it making noise when I first crank it up with the A/C on . I checked the belts tention with my hand and it felt pretty tight . Could this be a result of a large amount of rainfall over the past 2 months or do I have another problem .

I have a 91' 3000 GT SL that is my baby. It has come to a point where I need to ethier buy a new car or fix up the one I have (have 216,000 miles). Also, I just lost my mechanic. Personally, I would like to replace/upgrade the engine (maybe to turbo), put on a new suspension, repaint the shell and redo the interior. Hello I am new to this site, this is actually my brother inlaw's car. He has a 91 3000gt vr4. He was driving it the other day and it just died on him, he said that all the electrical was still working but the engine just died. Now it wont start. The engine will turn over but it sounds like it isnt getting any fuel. Could it be the fuel injection relay? Or what do you guys think?

You might think Im dumb as a bag of hammers for suggesting this but I cant help it. Why couldnt I have a toyota 6 cyl or 4 cyl engine (type S Corrolla) put in the 3KGT and the rear end changed. Then I will get rwd with toy reliability.
Basically look at the dimensions of all but a v6 would be nice and straight would make it easily serviceable.
