While European automakers initially ignored hybrid technology, it seems as though the craze has finally caught on, with everyone from Ferrari to Porsche announcing hybrid models of one kind or another. Ferrari will debut a 599 Hybrid concept, while Porsche will show the GT3 R Hybrid race car and a hybrid version of the 2011 Cayenne.
Porsche's new parent company, Volkswagen, also has plenty of hybrid news. VW will showcase its new Touareg SUV, with a hybrid version. In addition, another VW-brand company, Audi, will show off a hybrid version of its new A8. Other hybrids include the Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid and the Lexus CT200h hybrid.
Other show highlights are sure to include a new high-performance version of the Lamborghini Gallardo, referred to as either the LP57-4 SuperVeloce or the LP570-4 Superleggera, as well as Audi's new RS5. Plus, Mercedes-tuner Carlsson is debuting its new C25, an SL65-based supercar while VW/Audi-tuner ABT Sportsline is showing-off a 600-hp Audi R8 GTR, an R8 Spyder, A8 and a modified Volkswagen Golf R.

While not the largest, the Geneva Auto Show is easily the most prestigious auto show in the world, attracting debuts of high performance models from some of the world's most exotic and revered brands. 2010 is shaping up to be no different.
Major debuts include a Ferrari hybrid concept based on the 500 GTB flagship, the 2011 BMW M5 and a new high-performance version of the Lamborghini Gallardo, referred to as either the LP57-4 SuperVeloce or the LP570-4 Superleggera.
We're also excited to see what the European tuners have on offer, with Mercedes-tuner Carlsson debuting its new C25, an SL65-based supercar and VW/Audi-tuner ABT Sportsline showing a 600-hp Audi R8 GTR, an R8 Spyder, A8 and a modified Volkswagen Golf R.
And speaking of the R, Volkswagen is set to announce a new R high-performance division at the show, with rumors of a Jetta R concept set for its debut.

The Chicago Auto Show might not have the media hype of such events as the Detroit, Frankfurt or Geneva shows, but with one of the largest venues and with the highest attendance, it's easily on of North America's premiere events on the automotive calendar.
Over the years it's become the venue for automakers to debut new trucks, SUVS and crossovers and 2010 is shaping up to be no different.
For 2010 the Chicago Auto Show promises such debuts as the 2011 Chevy Silverado Heavy Duty pickup truck, an EcoBoost Ford Edge and even a few updated trucks from Toyota.
Additional highlights include a concept version of Honda's upcoming next-generation Odyssey minivan as well as plug-in hybrid concept from Kia call the Ray. Nissan has also just announced that it will display in Chicago, with the premiere of the 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition sports car, as well as the new 2011 Infiniti M37 and M56.

Japan's equivalent to the SEMA Show, each year aftermarket companies show off their latest performance and tuning products at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
From the street to the track, companies like Blitz, HKS, JUN, 5Zigen, Volk and Veilside show off their latest products on some of the most wildly modified cars ever made.
And let's not forget the manufacturers. Most major OEMs set up shop at the Tokyo Auto Salon and display new models, concepts and race cars – including some very impressive Super GT cars. Many manufacturers will also use TAS to show off their latest in-house performance goodies, from brands like TRD, Mugen, NISMO and Ralliart.

The North American International Auto Show, hosted each year in Detroit, appears set to return to its former glory for 2010. Many of the automakers absent from last year will be displaying and introducing models, while fears of bankruptcy for the U.S. manufacturers have been realized and have now subsided thanks to generous government aid and the help of foreign partners, the cooperation of the unions and a lot of tough decisions.
Important debuts for the first auto show of 2010 include the Honda CR-Z hybrid sports car, a Dedicated Hybrid Concept from Toyota, the BMW Z4 sDrive35i, the MINI Moke Concept and the 2011 Ford Mustang GT.

So, Hot Rod Magazine got to see the building of the first Camaros. One is being built for the Grand Am, a Dale Earnhardt Jr. Edition, a "Camaro Black" version (with a V6), and one with the C6 Z06 LS7. And all that is fine and dandy, until I reached the pages with the sketches of a 2012 Firebird, drawn by Murray Pfaff, a Detroit Auto Designer. It's only an idea floating around GM supposedly but I would like to see one if it looked like any of these designs...

Itasha Gathering in Odaiba, Tokyo on the 4th of October 2009. For those who are not aware, an Itasha is a car decked out with anime decals!
It translate to "painful car", which can be viewed as painfully embarrassing for the owner or painful to their wallets. It is a relatively new scene here in Japan and was very interesting to see. There were some nice example of nicely done up cars which also has the performance to match, so you can laugh at them until they whoop your ass on the track. There were close to 800 cars with not enough time to get the details but we did what was possible to show the event as a whole. Just about any type of vehicle participated in the event from VIP, Imports, Classics, K-Cars, Full tuned Sports, Wagons, Family and ECO.
Some may feel that the vehicles have been defaced and some may take a more light-hearted view. One thing that is for certain is that there are alot of creative ways to accent your vehicle with vinyl and many of the designs took alot of time and effort to create.
Hope you guy enjoy the pictures and get some creative inspiration out of them.

I have been trying to find out this information for a little while now & I can't find any hard facts. I want to know if the current ZR1 (C6 model) will ONLY run through the 2010 model year or if maybe 2011 will be the last year. Everything that I have been finding has the 2011 Vette as a new C7 Vette with a redesign.
So anyone know when the last year of the ZR1 will be? 2010? 2011? Anyone?
If you have a website with hard facts....please post it.

Hey guys. I have been looking at buying an Eagle Talon for a while now, and I finally have the chance. There's a guy that is willing to sell me his 96 Talon ESi FWD for $1000 or less. I was really looking for the AWD TSi, but it isn't that big of a deal. I am looking for a project car anyway. But, my question is, is it possible to just put a TSi turbo onto the ESi? Or, would I have to change some internals? This is the only problem so far. It's not the turbo, and I was mainly looking for a cheap turbo'd project. 300zx, something along those lines. If it is possible, there is a junkyard out here that has a TSi turbo that they'll sell me for $20. So, I think my question is, could I just "bolt-on" a TSi turbo onto an ESi? Thanks for the input.

So, I was on my way to my girlfriend's house just now. Saw an older body style Civic hatch with license plate "ILUVJDM". As soon as I got here I jumped on her computer and had to get on MF. I would have taken a picture, but I didn't have my camera. I really wish. One of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Hey all, I am putting a spider gear kit in aforementioned rearend and I cant get the spider gear washers to stick to the spider gears while rotating them into place. The housing keeps rubbing them off as they are moved into position. I was wandering if anyone has a better way of doing this or an idea to keep the washers in place?

Not sure is this is the correct spot, Moderators please feel free to move if need to..
I recently bought a 97 Pajero 3.0 V6 SWB 12valve engine with 197000km in the clock, not sure about the engine code. But just after receiving the vehicle replaced the lifter for they was noisy as normal & the valve stem seals & cambelt, they were totally worn. Now its starting to use oil... and a lot, about 4liters over 1000km.... Does this engine have a splash plate under the breather? For I`m wondering if the guys doing to lifters & the seals maybe missplaced it & is now breathing the oil..?? Any thoughts?

Sup everybody? I know there are a few people on here that have an Talon tsi as a secondary car or even a dd. I was just wondering if anyone that owns one is satisfied with it? Is it fun to drive, easy to mod, etc? Just all around things about them. I am looking to pick up an old talon as a project car and dd my Lancer. I was looking at doing the same thing except with a 99 civic si, but then I decided against it. I like the look of the talon more and they're awd and turbo'd. I have found a few people in my area selling them for around $500-1000. I think it's worth it, for a tsi. And I might even settle for a non-tsi. Depends how much though. Just give me some basic info on what ya'll think of em. Thanks in advance.

I'm rebuilding a 1968 Austin-Healey Sprite. My wife does not drive stickshift, which is the only original option, so I am looking for an alternative motor/trans to transplant. The original engine was a 1250CC, some of the newer MGs came with 1500CC, so I think I can safely install something a little bigger, newer, and more reliable.
My son suggested a 2.0 Mitsu combo... Any comments or suggestions? Remember, this is a RWD car....
TIA

I know i should have posted this somewhere else but its kind of a general automatic transmission question. And i wanted to post it where it will get looked at because im tired of waiting for this car.
Im buying a 300zx from a friend for 300 dollars. Ive been waiting for a few weeks for it now and the reason is because my frineds dad siad the car is stuck in drive. The shifter or whatever its called used to work about a year ago, then a little kid decided to sit in the car and slide the shifter back and forth from park to third or however it goes over and over again. Finally it just stopped shifting. this all happend while the car was off. if the transmission is stuck in drive, is it easy to fix and if so what do you think needs to be fixed?
Any help is needed please, I want this car already!!

ok im back in WI for the holidays visiting family. my lil sis has a geo tracker. from what i was told it has lil to no power when gas is pressed and when goin up hill it wont go over 5 mph. i got around to gettin it started and when i went to hit the throtle from the throtle body it died. after getin it to start after that i pressed gas pedel to the floor and only gained a few 100 rpm. it didnt even reach 1k rpm it barly heald a idle at close to 200 rpm. but after holdin gas down n not redline i released pedel, and of coarse it killed. my question is what could it be???? i still yet have to test the TPS(which i think it the problem) and also do a compression test. just lookin for more opinions.
ps i know its a shit car hence its my lil sis car. just tryin to get it to run right b4 i go back home.

So I the crank shaft seal blew on my 3000gt (hope thats all) so I decided I needed a reliable car to get me back and forth the work and school so I picked up a 2007 tc this weekend. It's Blue with a 5spd. My only complaint so far is it needs a sixth gear, other than that (and lack of being a 3000gt) I absolutly love it.
