2009 6th Touge.ca Track event @ Cayuga TMP June 21st - Signup Sheet Hello all drivers,
We're starting to build a list for the Cayuga track event signup on the June 21st.
We have the track Sunday evening from
4:00pm - 8:00 pmA little background -
Cayuga Toronto Motorsports Park. Located in Cayuga, just south of Hamilton, Ontario, this developing Motorsport complex can be configured as two smaller circuits of 1.2 and 1.8 km each or one large 3 km road course. We will use the 3 km circuit. The paved surface is a safe, flat design with good run-off room (no barriers or guardrails) and excellent sight-lines. The course has ample straights, challenging large and small chicanes, tight 90 degree and sweeping high speed turns. A truly good technical course.
It is a great learning track with two long straights, 11 challenging turns, safe run-off everywhere, and a separate area for exercises. It's also very fun and you'll spend the whole day mastering your line, and there are some pretty good photo ops.
We usually have a briefing prior to getting out on the track, followed by a few warm up laps, then lapping for the rest of the day. "Lapping" refers to just that, doing laps. Passing is STRICTLY prohibited except on the back straight, and only when the person in front of you has allowed you by by signaling you to pass. We reserve all rights to kick people off the track that are driving dangerously and/or aren't listening to track marshalls.
For those that have never been to the track, we encourage you to try it out, even if you're still on stock tires (they'll suck, and burn up quick, but it's still fun)

Hi everyone!
I'm just looking to buy an SUV, and I really, really like the Mitsu Outlander.
However, here in the Lower Mainland I've seen just a few on the road, and the dealerships are also very sparse. Before I make my decision, I am wondering what's the experience you've had regarding service, reliability of the vehicles, and the overall experience of owning a Mitsubishi.
Are people in the service area knowledgeable? Do dealerships behave professionally? Have you had any problems regarding parts availability?
Thanks! I really love the car, but I am hesitating because of the few support community around.
Cheers,

Hey guys... I'm utterly confused. Everything I have found, states that cars not made for either the US or Canadian market, CAN NOT be imported at all until they are 15 years old. Yet yesterday, I'm driving home from work, southbound on the 404 and I see a 2008 or 2009 Mitsubishi i. (Yes, the little bubble car that looks kind of like a smart car.) Right hand drive and all... can anyone enlighten me as to how someone can get that car into this country, let alone plate and insure it in this province?

Well, I'm picking up my Lancer from Markham Miitsubishi today and I couldn't seem to find any posts on dealerships.
I would love to hear of any dealership stories you have, good and/or bad.
I'll let you all know how my experience went when I'm done.
Thanks

Not sure if you guys have read this but here is the article:
http://www.canadiandriver.com/thenews/2008...er-ralliart.htm&
http://lancerevolution.ca/archive/42/intro...ancer-ralliart/So Excited for this car to come out. From what I hear it will be fall here in Canada
I'm from T.O.
I just hope they keep that stupid interest rate down. 8.75% for the EVO is pretty insane if you ask me.... I believe this car will be around 5.9% interest when in hits the streets... I just believe that since Subaru is one of their main competitors Mitsubishi should lower their interest rate to complete with Subarus WRX & STI which is at like 3 to 4%.

I am considering purchasing a used 2004 Lancer Sportback with ~ 58000Km. We took it for a test drive today, and were quite impressed.
My main concern is the long term maintenance costs for this car. It seems there are very few of these in Canada. I am worried that the cost of parts and repairs will be higher than other comparable cars as a result. The costs could be even higher for this particular model of Lancer because it uses a different 160hp engine, than the 120hp sedan. Will this make parts even more expensive and harder to find? Can anyone comment on the relative cost of parts and service for this car?
I also understand this model does not have ABS braking. Can anyone comment on how this car handles in wet or snowy/icy weather?

Just got my New Mitsu Endevor...(Endevour for ya ll Canucks) It's the coolest SUV i have driven for the buck!!! It's rated by Consumer Report on SUV Rating Edition as all-red , performance, crash test, acceleration.
I just love every bit of it. espeically the Manual Shift feature ....good for snow driving. When you're stuck with our Northwest white roads. ...just put it on 2nd gear (to avoid slippage for low-end torque) and off you go....
I used drive a Grand Cherokee and traded it with this Baby!! It is completely the other extreme... like nite and day....
Nice job Mitsu!!!

Finally... got the Coolest SUV for your buck. I used to drive 2 generation Grand Cherokee before this Ende I got. It is like Night & Day.
Minor problem which I believe is a design flaw is that when I want to listen to the radio and put the ignition key in the "ACC" mode simultaneously the exterior lights (except the headlights) go on as well. Now this will drain the battery unnecessarily and second, people at the parking lot might think i am ready to leave my spot bcoz the tail lights are on.....!
Service are not the top-notch,

staff I guess, they are still
treading the water in Canadian market.
