The Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET invites you (even if you don't drive a Nissan) to attend Frederick Nissan’s (
www.fredericknissan.com) 2009 Spring Show & Shine on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 12-4 pm. Come check out some of the hottest rides from the Mid Atlantic Region along with some insane action that will occur in the back lot of the dealership. There is no entry fee for the Show & Shine part and trophies for Best Nissan, Best Non-Nissan and Best in Show (along with others) will be handed out. The guys from Mischief.tv will be out to have a little sideways fun and get some footage so you might just make it into one of their future movies. Also, Chuck Goldsborough (
www.teamlexus.com/drivers/goldsborough.htm) will be out to enjoy the day with us. The greatest thing is proceeds from this event will be donated to the local area Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) so please come out to show your support.
Please visit our website (click the picture below) for driving directions to the dealership....

Click the picture below for a promo that Dustin from Mischief.tv put together of the action from last years show.

Yo, what's up Jersey-ans. I recently joined, at the suggestion of a friend,
NJTuners.
Its, obviously, an NJ car tuner forum for ALL types of cars. They have a weekly late night meet in Piscataway, NJ at a White Castle. I'm gonna be rolling there tonight with another friend, but anyone in the area who wants to meet up face to face, you can get all the info you need
here.REMEMBER! This is an
NJTuners run meet, so anyone who does roll on it, don't start shit...I'll feel bad.

Who all wants to try and find a time and place to do a meet with a bunch of different types of Mitsus in the Tri-State (NJ/NY/PA) area?
The reason I ask is cause I'm going to a SE-R meet with a friend and it looks like its a good time. Especially since we have so many different types of cars, get to see some seriously different things goin' on.

Greetings fellow Mitsubishi hypermilers. For those of you located in the northeast, the Adirondack Motor Enthusiast Club
A.M.E.C. will be holding a Fall Foliage "Economy Run" coming up this October 5, 2008.
A little history: A.M.E.C. held it's first Economy Run back in 1954. Now 54 years later with record high fuel prices, the club decided to bring the event back. Our members created a new course and the event took place this past August 10th. It was very well received and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who participated. Results can been seen
here. It was a good dry run to make sure everything went smoothly and that our laptop excel program worked properly to calculate the results. We enjoyed it so much that we have planned an "Economy Run II" and this time would like to open it up to like minded individuals who would like to join us. To keep it easy to manage and fun we will limit registration to the first 20 entrants.
Here are the details:
What: Fuel mileage contest through the southern Adirondacks of NY. The route will be on some really nice scenic and challenging roads and will run 106.3 miles in distance. Your “economic” driving ability will be tested. Cars will be filled with fuel by an AMEC official and then weighed on electronic scales. Small ramps are employed for easy on and off of the scales. Any street legal vehicle is allowed to participate, [including motorcycles].This event will run rain or shine.
Where: The starting spot will be at the Fairway Oil gas station on Route 5 in Fonda, NY. [directions below].
When: Sunday, October 5th, 2008. Arrival time will be 8:00-8:30am, first car off at 9:00am. They have gas and diesel and have a large enough parking lot that we won’t be in the way. (They also don’t use ethanol, if that makes a difference to anyone.)
Cost: $10 per vehicle
Awards include:
1. Best overall mpg for gas cars
2. Best overall mpg for diesel and hybrid cars
3. Best ton-mile per gallon [TMPG] vehicle weight in pounds, divided by 2000, times miles driven, divided by gallons consumed. A handy calculator is
here.
4. Best carbureted mpg
5. Best miles per dollar. [Based on the actual cost to travel the 106 miles. For example, we had a diesel VW Jetta get 56 mpg and a Dodge Avenger get 48 mpg. Because the diesel fuel was about a dollar more per gallon than the gasoline, the Avenger won this contest.]
Note: If we get more than one motorcycle we will add a class for them.
Awards: This event will conclude about noon, and our plan is to proceed up the nearby Checkers Out Go-Kart track for lunch, awards, and optional indoor go-kart races if you so desire. Checkers Out Speedway is an indoor go kart track open year round, and is located about ¾ of a mile south of Johnstown, NY, on NYS Route 30A. Physical address: 2299 State Hwy 30A Johnstown, NY 12905. Track phone: 518 736-4630
Directions: to Fairway Oil gas station: Take NY Thruway Exit 28. After the toll booth, turn left onto Riverside Drive. Then turn right onto South Bridge Street and go over the bridge. On the other side of the bridge is a traffic light. You can see Fairway Oil and Gas on your left. Turn left onto Route 5 and enter the station.
To register for this event: Please contact Mike Kamm at (518) 674-0520 or via email: mkamm [at ] juno [ dot] com. Or just simply reply to this thread with your name, year/model car. There is also a message board thread regarding this event on the A.M.E.C. message board
here.

Registered driver's list as of 8-25-081. Dave Burnham - 1991 Diesel VW Jetta

Spet. 21 Englishtown Raceway Mitsubishi vs Subaru
I would love to make a meet out of this so we can roll together showing the mitsubishi pride!
So, I thought we could make this meet somewhere off a main highway and near the raceway park.
I think that the Walmart in old bridge would be a good spot for some members. I know some members live far north or south and even at the shore, so i am open to any suggestions for a good spot. But I am hoping many of members could show for this meet.
Theres a big parking lot for walmart and KFC, so here is the address
1126 Route 9
Old Bridge, NJ 08857
(732) 525-8030
The store is on the southbound of Route 9.
Again I am open to any suggestions. I know my way around NJ and I would like to have a meet so we can organize and get everyone there who may not know where it is.
Since the rceway should be open from like 8am or 9am in the morning it would be good to meet up around that time.
Thank you for your time, hope we can put this together.

does anyone here have a shop in nj that will pass me with tint on my front windows, and amber removal on my headlights? i called the last place that pass my inspection with tints and acouple others around here, and no luck, apparently cops have been cracking down on these shops and imposing a $10K fine and 6-month suspension on their inspection licenses if caught. If you rather not mention the shops name on the board, could you PM me it, much appreciated.

Hi, I’m a grad student and I’m starting my thesis on Mitsubishi’s brand definition. As far as I can remember someone in my family has owned a Mitsubishi. My parents have owned 2 Monteros and I am thinking about buying an EVO.
I’m doing a deep dive on who Mitsubishi drivers are and what their hobbies/ interests are. I hope to eventually use this thesis to get a marketing job with Mitsubishi. With your input I hope to improve the company’s brand image. Please help by answering as many questions as possible and thanks in advance!
1) How old were you when you bought your Mitsubishi vehicle?
2) Which model did you buy? Was it new or used?
3) Which other models were you considering at the time?
4) Why did you choose Mitsubishi?
5) How many and which Mitsubishi models have you previously owned?
6) Where do you live?
7) Do you have a family?
8) What is your gender?
9) What is your occupation?
10) What are your 3 favorite hobbies?
11) What are your 3 favorite types of music you listen to in your Mitsubishi?
12) What are your 3 favorite TV or cable show?
13) Why do you love your Mitsubishi?

Attention all car enthusiasts! Autokrats will be holding a "Back To School" meet on
Sunday August 12th at 7PM. The meet will be a simple get together for many of us who are longing for one last large meet before school starts up in the fall. Unfortunately we could not get support from HCC or UMD in order to use their lots this summer. However with your help we can have one last large meet before summer is over!
If you haven't heard about us we are a car club out of Columbia, MD founded in 2004 out of River Hill High. Since January of 2005 we have been promoting the gathering of all automotive enthusiasts from around the area for large monthly meets in order to spread automotive unity. In November of 2005 we held our largest meet yet of 350+ cars. We are hoping to meet if not exceed this number for this meet, help us do so!
