Driving to San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico; I achieved 120 miles per hour downhill with awesome handling. With stock equipment, the Endee drives like a dream. I had my girlfriend take a picture of the speedometer, but she didn´t take it right when I was going 120 but she was able to take it a few seconds after, going at 115 mph.

Hello all.. Love the car but have noticed a whinning noise on my Endeavor ever since I got in a accident (dented front bumper had to be replace). Anytime I seem to go over 40 the whinning noice starts and continues until I go back under. Confusing thing is on hot days the noice tends to start sooner then on cold rainy days.

Anything I can check ?

i got about 45000 miles and it is LS . lately once in a while appears to hear kinda weard noise, i beilieve from aux. belt . it sounds like you got passed by the car with average big muffler. but it sounds only like a second or less. and only sometimes.

Anyone know of a discount source for a Mitsu cargo cover for the 2006 Endeavor?

Just bought an 06 LS AWD. Two issues I recently noticed. The glove box door and the lower panel on the driver side have a purple hue on the black panels. You notice it when the sun is shinning in through the side window. It is not a consistent hue but very splochy. Also I have two bubbles that have formed on the dash pad. One about the size of a quarter the other is dime size. Anybody else had these issues?

Just added this in, it was worth it. Panasonic touch screen with all the goodies navigation,dvd, ipod ready, satellite, etc.

First time drive of the 2004 ls awd endeavor today, liked it alot, good ride adequate power, good interior passenger space, interested in purchasing but I need advice on value to mileage. 73,163 @ $12,954.
Also will need to install trailer hitch to pull jet ski's. I am sure a transmission cooler will be needed, any knowledge or suggestions about this application will be appericated.
Also any major concerns with this vehicle? Purchasing a vehicle isn't a pleasant experience for me, I begin the process with heartburn and it just progresses from there, the salesman is always reasurring I will make it through the process if I will just sign here and here and here, hey don't get me wrong I know he is just doing his job right? See what I mean and I haven't begun to make a decision yet.

Any help or advice with the above subjects is appreicated as long as I don't have to pay, ( I need the money for the down payment, heh-heh).

I have a 2006 LS AWD with the Segmented Audio Center Display. Does anyone know if it possible to upgrade to the Color Center Display?

I have a 2005 Endeavor. I do not have a manual and this week a warning light has been coming on when I start the vehicle in the morning but then goes off after about 15 miles. The light does not come on again even if I don't start it for twelve hours. But the next morning the light will come back on. I cannot get into the shop until next Tuesday to have it looked at. Could anyone identify this light: (!), it is orange and has a wavy line under it. I don't want to continue to drive if this will cause larger problems.

Has anyone else had the problem with the anti lock brake light coming on? The book says there is a malfunction if this happens and to take it to the dealer for service. Well, I can't do that because I live in Germany and they don't sell the endeavor over here. If anyone has any tips that can fix this problem, please let me know. I am a diesel generator mechanic so I am a very hands on person. Also does anyone know where i can get a repair manual for the endeavor?

I was talkin to this dood tha works at a custom type shop. where they install after market stuff like LED lights, alarms, audio systems blah blah blah. so i asked him, hey what do you recomend for an alarm and maybe a remote starter, and he goes well; you are better off going to the Dealer since aftermarket electronics usually mess up the ECU on Mitsus.

I was like really? Neava heard of that! So now im puzzled, and thus i came here to ask if anyone here has an alarm or remote starter on their Endeavor and is it giving you trouble?

I am looking to purchase and install an aftermarket car alarm with remote start for my wife's 2004 Endeavor LS. I have not purchased the alarm, transponder bypass kit or spare key yet... because I cannot find ANY resouces on the web for wiring diagrams for installing an alarm.

Does anyone have wiring diagrams for this vehicle or know where they can be found online? I've installed alarms and remote starts in the past, but not without a wiring diagram to study.

I just recently had a Panasonic touch screen installed with a custome dash, however, I am receiving a Error message because it doesnt recognize the aftermarket player. Does anyone know what wire needs to be disconnected so that error message goes away.

Has anybody had a problem with their paint oxidizing? I've seen that owners of the Galant and Eclipse. The local Mitsubishi dealership in Austin told me they wouldn't help because my car had 40K miles on it. However, I've seen that other dealerships around the country are finding a way to fix this regardless of the number of miles. When I bought the car, I bought (what the sales manager told me was bumper to bumper) an extended warranty. The sales manager said everything would be covered for 100k miles. Turns out that it's only a drive traing warranty. I'm really glad that I was lied to about what would be covered.

Has anybody else experienced paint issue with an endeavor? If so, have you found out how to resolve the issue with the dealership?

How do I know which I have? I know the 2004.5 got the 225hp. When were the 2004.5 first built, I mean the actual first production date, the earliest anyone knows of!? I was asking the guys at the local mitsu dealer non of them knew off the top of their heads. They all needed a VIN which I didn't have at the time,....I thought a salesman would be able to tell me about a significant change like that but I guess not,....

I ordered a brake controller (Prodigy v2.6) for my 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor LS and have looked everywhere for a wiring harness that adapts from the back of this brake controller (or any other controller) directly to the vehicle without having to splice into any wires. Unfortunately I have had no luck in locating a harness for this particular vehicle. I'm not even sure if the factory pre-wires the vehicle for a brake controller like they did for the trailer wiring harness that is located near the spare tire. Typically, the wiring/connector for a brake controller is located underneath the driver's side dash (close to where the brake controller would mount) but I have had no luck with finding this as well. I'm hoping that someone was successful with the installation of a brake controller for this particular vehicle and they would be willing to share their story with me on what they found. Thank you

Has anyone installed an aftermarket trailer hitch on their Endeavor? The Mitsu factory hitches are quite pricey, and there seem to be some good choices from Draw-Tite, Hidden-Hitch, Reece and Curt. If so, did you use a factory or aftermarket wiring harness, and how did that work out?

Anyone else have the problem of ear piecing thumping when you move your windows down between 40 mph and 80 mph? I cant have my back windows down and drive at higher speeds. Outside of this, I love my Endeavor.

With the stereo integrated into the dash, I am wondering if it is possible to ever upgrade the 6 disc CD changer with an aftermarket product.

Specifically, I would like to install one of those in-dash navigation systems, since Mitsubishi forgot to include that as an option.

[attachmentid=2054][attachmentid=2053]I've done a rough install of a 7" LCD install in the center console. If you buy a headrest monitor and remove the LCD from the shroud, as long as the LCD it no more than 4 1/2" high it will fit and you won't have to relocate any of the top buttons.

Is there any way to add the original factory CD changer to the stock stereo system on the Edeavor LS?
If anyone knows? Is there a place to find the pinout for the cd changer controller for Misubishi stereos? (Matsushita....I beleive)? - That would be very usefull for adding custom Aux-input.

I'm considering buying an Endeavor. I had thought to buy a Limited with AWD and Traction Control, so as to have the best of all worlds in snowy conditions. I've read where the AWD doesn't always do well in snow--people usually blame it on the Bridgestone tires. So, AWD with traction control makes sense.

However, my wife really wants the DVD feature and it seems from the Mitsubishi website that you cannot get both DVD and traction control on an AWD--go figure.

With all that said, my question is this....for the Endeavor, which will handle better in snowy conditions--AWD or FWD with traction control?

So far I have been pleased with the endeavor (04 for 1.5 years) but lately I have been hearing a strange noise I can't figure out. It appears to have gotten louder since I first noticed it too. I first noticed it when I would turn right on a cloverleaf on/off ramp. It is kind of a clicking noise almost like there is a slight rub or something. I looked and don't see anything rubbing or any thing wrong with the shocks. The sound appears to be coming from the back passenger tire area. I don't thik it is limited to speed but may be. I do usually notice it going 40+ while taking a corner but think I have heard on more typical in-town driving. It is my wife's vehicle so I don't know how often it happens but when I drive it I hear it at least once.
