Greetings everyone. My name is Al from Perth Western Australia. I have a 1994
Triton MJ with a 2.6L Astron engine. I would like to do an engine swap to a diesel.
Will a 2.5L fit straight in and match up to the drive train, or are there mods to be done. Any help greatly appreciated.

I am constantly sick of taking a hard corner or going around a roundabout and taking them at a decent speed it will just bog down and will not regain acceleration until i straighten her up, does anyone know where and how to disable the inertia switch so that i can maintain power through the corners?
i know that the 92 TR 2.6L EFI 4g45 SOHC model is a little old yet i am planning to take the time and patience to rebuild her into a sleeper

Hey Hey everybody. This is in the Colt main section as well, but I thought because this is an Australian car and an Australian workshop I'd put it here as well.
I'm from Mild To Wild Restorations in Australia and I wanted to share with more people the Colt being released by us this week. Its just a 1988 Mitsu Colt that we have given a makeover for a radio station promotion. Its a giveaway, yep completely free to one lucky listener.
But anyway I just wanted some Mitsubishi appreciators to see this, the complete pictures will be up on the website tomorrow when we hand it over to the radio station. At the moment the complete build is there so make sure you check this out today and tomorrow.
Oh! And her names' Dolly..
http://www.mildtowildrestorations.com.au/index.php?id=228Hope y'all dig it

For interested parties they can just checkout everything else we've done here.

G'day all, New to the Mitsubishi world but not new to 4b's. had a couple of Lux's and if want to class a WRX as a 4wd even thou it's a awd, one of them as well. I have recently purchased V6 Triton double cab and are stoked about it. It's a 98, has a few K's but after a new clutch, runs a dream....

[B]I have a 93 Verada which goes from 1st gear to third gear missing 2nd all together. I have been to a auto mechanic and he reckons a band has broken and the transmissions needs to be pulled and reconditioned.
Could it be electrical or a computer problems, I think this guy just wants the money.
Any ideas???

heres the story.... well i was in the passenger seat drunk as hell after this party...so i let my friend drive me back to his... while driving home my friend said grab a better cd and chuck it in... so i took out the cd and put a new one in .... or so i thought i did this three times... theres a small gap on the top of the cd player that only just could fit a cd into it... and i managed to do it seemlessly with out vision lol....
neways the next morin after sobering up... i managed to pull the dash off to take the cd player out... to get the cds out... neways when doing this i found a auxillary cord curled up at the back.... so i grabed an extension and wired it up into the ashtray... just so u couldent see it when not in use....
i was amazed.... what was a $50 EXTRA was a quick and easy job..
also i adjusted the cd player up so there wont be any more lost CDs...
also it sounds really guud... beats the guud ol FM transmitter...
peace...

Hi guys,
just wondering if anyone knows where to get some mods for the 2007 4g69 Lancer.
I have found a lot of american sites where i can order stuff in but I want someone locally. I found RPW in perth but they don't seem to stock a nice one like the AEM's or Injen etc. The american mods would probably work but I'm not sure if the engine bay of the USA Ralliart (same engine) is laid out the same way. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Guys,
If your looking to purchase some Genuine Mitsubishi Lancer Accessories from Australia, here are the links:
Australian 2008 Lancer Website:http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/#/web/...?vehicle=lancerAustralian 2008 Lancer Accessory Website:http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/#/web/...&vehicle=lancerThese parts are in Australian Dollars = US $ 0.88 per AUS $ 1.00.
There is also an additional 10% GST on all parts.
Some general (RRP) pricing on Mitsubishi Genuine Parts so far:
Clear Bonnet Protector ..... AUS $ 75.90 + 10% GST
Black Vinyl Front Ascent ...... AUS $ 50.05 + 10% GST
2 x Black Side Air Dam Ascents ..... AUS $ 80.85 + 10% GST
2 x Black Rear Wing Ascents ...... AUS $ 48.50 + 10% GST
Sports Gear Shift "AUTO" Knob ..... AUS $ 295.00 + 10% GST
Rear Park Assist .... AUS $ 482.35 + 10%
Plastic Boot Liner ..... AUS $ 67.00 + 10% GST
Tow Bar Package .... AUS $ 666.00 + 10% GST
4 x Carpet Floor Mats ..... AUS $ 100.00 + 10% GST
2 x Fog Lamps ...... AUS $ 490.00 + 10% GST
As you can see, only having a small population in Australia (20 million), parts are a little on the expensive side.

1991 magna tr manual (australian model) 4 cylinder- I have owned this baby for 4 years and am looking at replacing the ecu (engine control unit? computer) for the second time. It cost me $700 last time. I was specifically told that the warranty was for 12 months- and it probably lasted 2 years.
Is there anything that makes these things screw up?
Without a repair manual or removing the unit, how do I determine the part number?
ebay has these for sale for around $150 (reconditioned)
MITSUBISHI MAGNA TR 4 CYLINDER.
ENGINE COMPUTER MODULE / ECU.
*
The Module has been Professionally Reconditioned.
*
The Module comes with a 12 Month Warranty.
*
Module Part Numbers:
BOSCH: 9.260.060.046 / MITSUBISHI: AW335189
Will these fit my TR?
Help please.

Just wondering if anyone knows some good websites or places that sell lancer body kits (i own an 01 model). I'm currently looking at this site:
GT Auto StyleAlthough they have a limited range, also what are your thoughts on these products, and how much (roughly) would it cost to get them painted. (I know its hard to assume without knowing details etc, just a price range)
Also i'm looking for an exhaust (muffler and tip only as i'll only be on my P's) and a nice set of wheels (also once i get pics of my car i'll ask for suggestions as crome is a bad idea in my area, because if they chip they're apparently gonna rust alot)
Thanks heaps guys

Ive got a V6 TS magna auto
It is showing a error code 63 for the trans
In the workshop manual it says the error is described as
"short -circuited torque reduction execution signal line"
The remedy is to
"check torque reduction execution signal line"
Im not sure what they are referring to? I checked the solenoids and they check out ok.
Is it referring to electrical problem or in the electronic circuitry?
Any ideas?
The symptom is when driving and coming to stop it feels like ive been shunted from behind but it only does it when it has overdrive engaged, But having overdrive engaged is for normal driving which makes it a pain.
thanks

Hi everyone!
My dearest 1999 MK dual cab Triton just got rolled over. It is very heart-breaking since I got it only 2 months ago.
I wonder if anyone can help me by suggesting an inexpensive way to restore it. The damaged parts are:
- smashed roof
- smashed guards
- windscreens and windows
- deformed bonnet.
The guy from smash repairs said it might be very expensive if I want him to restore it. So, I was thinking to get secondhand or aftermarket part. Anyone knows someone wrecking their Triton/ auto-wrecker / parts supplier that keep mitsubishi/ Triton stocks? would be great if they are in QLD.
Thanks for your help!!!
Cheers,
Eric

Attention Aussie 3000GT/GTO owners.......
I have a Torque Plate for hire for those doing rebuilds. It is a very good idea to use these when boring out those cylinders. PM me for details on how much.

"Lightweight block castings have become very prevalent in our market. Since the overall mass has been reduced, the controlled stresses have become an important factor in the block's integrity. To ensure integrity, we must recreate that stress by using a Torque Plate when boring and honing.
Always begin by torquing your main caps in place to correct specifications. Next, install a torque plate and torque in place using final assembly torque specifications. Also, we recommend using correct length bolts. If they are too long or too short, they may abnormally stress the block. The future will even dictate correctly torquing all external motor mounts and related accessory brackets.
Allow .003" minimum material in the cylinder bore. Remove broken and partially severed material by honing after the boring operation".Scotty
