I had a problem with my truck throwing codes. It informed me my mass airflow sensor was bad and my throttle positioning sensor was bad, same have been replaced but I still have a major issue. My truck will not go above 2000 RPM's its like theres a governor or rev limitor right at 2000 rpms and it wont accept any more gas until the engine drops below 2000 again. Has anyone...

We are the only owners of the truck and I met my wife in it.

The roof has mange, the bushings are gone all around and basic maintenance is showing as a need.

Could go a couple ways with the upgrades as a theme. Going to stick with reliability and safety.

So far I have,

1) Basic tune up with plugs, wires, rotor, cap, etc. (nothing fancy just OEM).

Does anyone know if the Evoscan software is compatible with UK market L200s ?

Also, are there any OBD scanners, such as this one that will work?

Hi all I have a L200 4d56 turbo diesel with cold starting problems.

When its cold I turn on the key, the battery volts on the gauge go down to 9V and the glow light comes on and there is a click behind the left front guard.

After 9 secs the glow light goes out, but the battery is still at 9V.
After 16 seconds the relay behind the guard clicks off and then the battery...

I`ve just got a 1993 Triton 4wd ute with trayback, 188,00 kms in great condition.
Its got a bench seat, but would like to put in buckets, does anyone know if
later model Triton seats will fit, or possibly Pajero ones. I`m not sure if the
floorpan and fixings are the same though the models.

i have a 96 4d56 non turbo and i just bought a turbo for it all manifolds etc But it never came with oil feed lines etc basically just need to find out where the numbers that are labeled go too ? and also have an intercooler as its a pajero turbo manifold etc so can i block off the intercooler for now as i'll mount that at a later date ? i'll post a picture

On a 1982 4G64 motor, the service manual lists that the ignition timing should be 5 degrees BTDC but there is also a sticker on the air cleaner that says it should be 13 degrees BTDC.

Does anyone know what is should be? Perhaps I should split the difference and go for 9 degrees BTDC!

Started having problems about 3 weeks ago, it was really lumpy sitting at idle, problems starting, black smoke when acclerating, poor fuel performance. I´ve read in the manual for the Triton L 200 (2008), that it´s possible to change several settings of the central lock system etc. - does anyone know how to do this ?

I not think there are jumper or something like this - may be you have to press and hold a button while switch on the ignition.....

Anywho

after a bit of issues getting it started again, i reset everything to TDC on #1, but it was on exhaust stroke, not compression stroke.. (amateur mistake, i know.. i've copped a bit from my mates for that) Once i got that sorted and fixed i took it for a test run.

I have a 2003 L200 Warrior and the engine warning light has come on. All very bizarre, the manual refers to it on 1 page (but for petrol engines only - mine is diesel) and refers to it on another page for diesels only but doesn't actually go into any detail about what might be wrong with it, just...

My 92 MM start and runs for about three seconds then dies. I found the TPS bad and replaced it but it still does the same thing. If you push the gas pedal it revs up then dies. I checked the fuel pump and it is working. Any help would be great

Hi all, I have a L200 when first started cold when driven will pull past 4500 revs, after 5 minutes it will pull up to 2500 revs and find it very hard to get any higher unless going down a hill. The lack of power is there 90% of the time and there are times it will pull to 3000 revs ok and then its if the brakes were on just sit there. There is also a noise that appears at 2500 revs gets louder...
