I have it out and the idle is at 1100 RPM and when i put it in it goes up to 2000 or 2500 RPM, Do i even need it?

I just wanted to say thanks to the guys at A&A Auto Parts in Reading, PA. i've been searching for the fuel fittings I need and comparing for the lowest price possible with the fastest delivery. It's hard to find a parts store where the guys have any clue what you are talking about but the 2 guys that helped me at this place are in the middle of building a spyder with a 1g head swap...

I have this buddy that goes to wholesale auctions, and he picked up this GS-T a while ago. I think it has a bad rod knock. It is drivable but he only starts it to move it.
I was wondering if $2,500 would be a good deal for this car considering it needs work?
Also if you had a $5,000 budget what would you do to it? (including rebuilding it)

hey guys i'm back, got my engine almost rebuilt (wiseco pistons, eagle rods, acl main rod bearings, redone crankshaft, and every gasket/seal has been replaced)
but the thing that caused half my trouble in the first place was the blown stock turbo. i know with the block i built i can boost a lot higher with a bigger turbo, but i just wanted to ask about the basics that i read...

Well I took off my valve cover tonight and encountered a small problem. I just replaced like 500 miles ago my plugs and wires. Well anyway 2 of my wires pulled out fine but the other two, ripped out leaving part of them stick connected to the spark plugs. Can I just slip the wire cover back on these and them work right?? I bougth them from advance auto and they were the "better" ones.

So Im manager on duty today at work. Everyone is gone and I did some laps in the pool. Anyway I took my car down around the building here at work and pulled out the POWER WASHER. Just to let everyone know, I will be gone from July 20 to August 5. I am going to Italy for 2 weeks and since I will be on a boat for a majority of the time (Once we get there we are picking up a cruise ship and traveling around the whole contry lol) I will not have internet access. =(

Ok so How do you guys go about making the factory 2g water lines on your turbo fit on your 420a turbo app? Cause I am quite curious how I am gonna go about doing this on my 1.8T project lol. Can you just bend them w/o causing any damage?
EDIT: I will be using the 1g water lines but I figured you 420a people would probably use the 2g ones.

So, If I installed my 450cc injectors on my 1.8 before I turbo it and install the AFC Neo could I tune it to get a bit better performance even tho I am not turboed yet?
EDIT: I know I cant run all 450cc (lol) but is there a way with the Neo that I can like limit the amount of fuel that is pushed through them but at the same time increas it from stock?

I know this question gets asked a lot but I really like this car and wonder if it's a good buy. Well im getting all my turbo parts today in the mail. I want to finish getting the rest of teh stuff I need for my build. Im going to have the evo manifold so Im sure the 16g will work. I am looking at getting a 1995 Eclipse GS-T 101 K miles. Nice shape.
Wife and I took it for a test drive. Normal acceleration felt well normal.
But it seemed to hesitate a bit under hard acceleration, Like going from 40 to 65 on the on ramp. the car accelerated, but the speedometer didn't indicate any change of speed.

I noticed on my 93 that my timing skipped a tooth. This was just a quick notice when i was changing the alternator this morning. Now heres what i have noticed, The turbo has trouble spooling over 9 psi (MBC set @ 14), is this a symptom the timing being off? especially if its the exhaust side (not sure which side yet)? ok i need help i have a 1997 eclipse gst and it has a problem or two. first when im driving some times and let off the gas and push in the clutch the rpms goes down to like 50 - 100 and almost dies but not all the time, so please give me some ideas.
and second i have an oil leak on the bottom of the motor on the drivers side what usally leaks on this cars.

So i burned up my original evo 3 16g turbo, and bought a replacement off ebay.. got that and had to go to war and fight though paypal to get a refund, due to the fact that it was junk.. all slopped out and broken intake fins... all of course were not pictured or talked about on the add... paypal sided with me, and i am waiting for the money...

HAHA nothing wrong guys, just looking at all the fricken oil in my valley area on my valve cover. I noticed a black sensor like thing attached to one of my bolts. Anyway its like busted to pieces. What does this do and what hooks to it? It looks like a clip of some sort. Its located to the front right part of the valve cover if your standing in front of yoru car.

I'm about to remove my dash from my 98 eclipse GS, to look for a squeaking chirp that drives me crazy when I drive on bumpy roads or whenever im into an hour of driving, its possibly from a loose screw ? which appears to be coming from the dash area.

Okay, so I bought a Fel-Pro bottom end gasket set for my 420a. It has everything I need BUT the bedplate o ring. I looked at pictures of thier set and to my surprise there was no bedplate o ring provided. Then I went to my local autozone and found that in thier set there isn't a bedplate o ring either.
