im looking at a rebuilt 95 gst, the kid is young his father showed me the recipts and the engine was rebuilt,but it also has a 20g turbo,greddy frount mount, 3"downpipe and 3" exhaust, it HAD apexi safc and the apexi avcr (both stolen) and the car runs rough and shakes the whole car at idle at 1500-3000rpms it runs like a champ then 3500rpms it runs just as rough down the road then when it gets to 4k and the turbo is kicking in it runs perfect without a miss or sputter, what could be the problem? he said it hasnt had a tune, and its running 10psi of boost, any ideas how 2 fix this?

I need to show someone that there ARE powerful Eclipses on this planet.
So please if you can, post up a dyno chart of your Eclipse with more than 400 horsepower?
All it needs to show is the name of the car, and obviously the chart.
I know this is a strange request but... Some Nissan fanboy dickwad on another forum won't give up.

hey guys, getting ready to put the car up for the winter and i had the back strut replaced now the wheel is cocked to the right and pulls to the left. mechanic says i need a alignment but the question i have is what is this gonna cost and what would be a good shop to go to? i was thinking that the dealer might be the best way but probably pricey as well. what are your guys thoughts? thanks in advance. -matt

Well this morning I got my car inspected.
The check engine light was on friday, and I had a dryrotted hose(I have no idea what it was for or called) went to autozone they fitted a new one and put it on for 84 cents and it cut the check engine light off, Mcdonalds can't do that for a dollar

Keep things short the motor in my eclipse is now blown, seized right up while driving...fun stuff, at least now i have a real reason to fully rebuild my motor however extreme i want to be =P. Going to find a 6 bolt to swap the 7 with any other recommendations on performance parts to get? Looking at wiseco pistons, eagle rods, bc 272/272 cams. Debating on if i should have it bored out also...I want to put the best of everything into this motor and i'm not going to be cheap about it because i know in the long run being cheap will not be the best route.

ok i was at the track down the street from my house racing my buddy's 5.0.
after a few races i was haveing trouble shifting in to 2nd, but only while racing but after slowing down it shifted. But after that i noticed mi clutch was goin on mi last race the only problem was that when i relized it my car wouldnt go in to 1st or 2nd. after fighting with it while sitting at the end of the track i finally got it to go in to gear. then thats wen i kne for a fact the clucth was gone cuz i couldnt go over 40mph. so i decide to leave and try to get home b4 the car wont move at all. well on the way home the car is goin its reved high which i was expecting , but then the engine reved up to red line and shut off then it wouldnt start or push start i even tried to start it while mi dad was towin me.
all mi friends keep telln me that its the trowout bearing thats keepn it from starting and mi dad says it could b that the fly whell is fked right where its at so it wont start .
are ether of these things that could really b wrong and the reason it wont start

ok so I drove my 99 gs through a huge puddle today that just appeared out of nowhere....I put the car in neutral and I drove the car through it pretty slowly. I rolled out of it a little bit and I put the car in second gear and the car started to bog. I then heard a knock and the car died. Now it won't crank. I have a cold air intake on the car (yea I know bad choice). I know I sucked in some water. I had to. Someone told me to wait about a day and it'll probably turn over. Is he just getting my hopes up or am I screwed here??? And what if I drop the oil like right away and put in new oil and try to start it? Will that help at all? By the way the puddle wasn't that bad and it wasn't like long it was just kinda deep.

I just got a nice ass gst and its perfect except for one thing, the oil pressure gauge. It does not seem to work it just sits on L and doesn't seem to even move. Is there a problem? there are no lights that come on or anything.

if you read my thread about syncromesh transmission fluid, then you know there wasnt much fluid in the trans when we drained it. ever since ive filled it up, ive been keeping an eye out for leaks, and i think ive found one, but i cant be sure if its a leak of if the trans/transfer case is just venting excess fluid. ive found a very small amount of fluid on the transfer case. ive been keeping an eye under my car for oil spots, but i never find any. every time i clean off the substance on the trans case though, theres always a little that appears after i drive around. the attached pic is the best one i could find of the transfer case. the yellow line is where the fluid is, and the dot is where its actually dripping from. so, someone tell me, does it sound like im jumping at shadows, or is there something that would actually leak trans fluid in that area?

so what i have here is a 90' eclipse gs turbo that has been giving me problems since i bought it 5 months ago about 3 weeks ago i just died on me left me an hour from home. low ompressin in 2 cylinders so i want to rebuild the engine but this is going to be my first rebuild on this type of engine. im going to start tomorrow and i dont see how the cylinder head comes off im really confused right now but i want to learn how to do this.

for the little latch in your car right under your steering wheel that you pull to pop your hood. How do take it off?? I basically have the whole car gutted except for that one little piece. I need to take it off to swap interiors and I can't cut the wire behind it because I need it. I can't figure out how to unhook the wire behind that latch for my life. Somebody please help!!!

Automatic Gs-T with 95k and new trans and i'd like to know if it's worth the $5999 he wants for it. If not how much it is worth.

well i've thought things over this weekend and i'm going to keep my little dsm and boost it when i graduate school. i've come to the conclusion that i can prduce an easy 400hp with a modded turbo setup done right.
i just wanted to hear a litlte bit about pros and cons of boosting a car.
i know its kind of a vague question, but i'm not too familiar with boostes parts and what all they can do. i know for a fact running lower compression pistions will help with the turbo setup and will improve the bottom end of the eclipse. that's a no-brainer. but whjat i'm looking for is cams. i know i touched on this in a previous post about evo cams in a n/a car. but now since i'm dedicating myself to boost my 1g eclipse. the evo cams in a 4g63, can they make a big gain or should performance cams be installed instead. i already have a turbo application exhaust system from megan racing (dont ask) i'm gona save up like i said and start getting shit for christmas and by b-day every year.

ok well im still new to dsm's and turbo'd cars, but i need to know if it matters if a radiator from a NON-turbo talon is safe/ok to use on a TURBO talon because my radiator has a crack about 9 inches long on the top =(

Thank You for stopping by... I need some help with my vehicle. Purchased a used 92 eclipse gs. I recently changed the air filter, spark plugs, wire set, throttle body cleaned, new pcv valve, new cat, has new timing belt and muffler. I also tightened the tension on the throttle body wire since it was very difficult to accelerate.
MY Problem:
The car drives fine yet it tries to stall on me. When in drive at times, not consistent, when i let off the accelerator and the rpm drop down in the 1000 range my engine begins to vibrate shake like it wants to die and the check engine light goes on. No change if i put in neutral and have to rev the vehicle to around 2500 to 3000 rpms and then she stops shaking and the check engine light goes off. When i put it in drive she shakes rattles until my rpms get to the above range and then she takes off like nothing happened.
RPM at idle around 1000 and while in drive 500-600.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and thanks for the help in advance.

so im sellin my old eclipse on ebay, so if anyone wants to take a look at it its on there. i had to sell the stupid thing cause of the snow we get in il and i cant afford that thing bein in school and workin only part time. so im gonna buy a junker and get a 4g62 motor and rebuild it over the winter and buy a gsx and sap motors. sso does anyone have a motor that they wanna get ride of??

Does anyone have, or know where I can get an oil pickup tube for a 95 GS-T? I also need the splash guard or whatever that sheet metal plate is. A rod broke and did a bit of damage. If someone has them that is willing to sell, that would be awesome. I cant find a website or any place that has them.

I'm looking to upgrade my brakes. I am comming up on a brake job and a couple of rotors are a little too worn to be "safely" resurfaced. I figured, what the hell, if I have to get new rotors anyway, I might as well upgrade.
I was just looking on ebay and I found a set of the brembo calipers and rotors from a totalled Evo 9.
HereWill that fit on our old DSM's?
I also found a front caliper and rotor upgrade kit from RRE
Here That's all good and is an upgrade, but I'm kinda looking for something on all
