I got everything back together. I crank the car and it runs, it just sputters. I know the gas is very old so I tried some stabilizer and ocatane booster but neither worked. Is there a drain plug on the gas tank somewhere or does anyone know the easiest way to straight wire the fuel pump because I can't reach the tank with the syphon because of all the bends. Darn check engine light came on. I checked the error code and it's very vague, something about fuel air metering.I went to this mechanic down the street and he plugged some device and he said he needed to keep it to test where the fault is.

Ok so I did a search and found that a good size for the wheels is 17x4.5 or 17x5 but The wheels I want (Volk TE37) only go down to 17x7.5. Will these still fit? The offset on them is 114.3 So that part is fine.

Okey...sooo.... I was on the highway with my cruise control on 60mph. My timing belt snapped and i got the car towed home. I put the new timing belt on and wont start. Only cylinder 3 is giving compression.... How do I know if I bent a valve WITHOUT taking of the head????

almost got it off, I cheated on the timing belt part, I took the cams out because I don't have a socket big enough to fit the crank pully, so I couldn't get the darn cover off

what size are the head bolts? I don't have a clue as to how stock this thing is, I know for a fact the original owner put roller rockers on it, and the top of the head doesn't have very much oil...

Alright guys i know this topic has been discussed, but my car is smoking like crazy even though it's better than new. -White smoke at idle, thick white while acceleration, smells awful too (im guessin its oil).

I dont know if the problem is easy to be fix or what but awhile back i installed Indiglo Gauge on the dash and just recently the gauge lights are flickering until it dont turn on anymore. Hi…..I have a 1996 Eclipse RS, 2.0 DOHC, no Turbo. I recently took it to a mechanic to see if he could locate an oil leak. He told me that the cam sensor (don’t know if this matters, but he said it was the “upper” cam sensor) was leaking and needed replaced.
