im thinking of lowering my 2k eclipse. im gonna leave the stock 17" rims but i dont know how many inches i should lower it! any advice!

would a silver eclipse lowered with a magnaflow exhaust and stock rims look alright! im on a budget so cant do a lot of mods so this is what i can afford

Since getting a new car isn't very practicle right now considering in only 17(turing 18 may 5). I'm keeping my RS......here's my story.....this summer im going to be a camp counselor for Woodmen of the World Life Insurance summer camp. I will be making $1,200 this summer, as a counselor. What can are some ideas that I can do to my car. I was thinking about replacing my muffler with a real cat-back. Or getting a CAI. Or mabey a bodykit. Hit me back with some ideas.

can i lower my car and put a bodykit on it. if so, if i put a bodykit on it how much can i lower it. and what if i put 17's or 18 inch rims on it, then how much can i lower it with a bodykit on it.

i was wondering if a header from a 99 eclipse would be compatible with an 01 eclipse. (size wise) if so, then i have some extreme mods that i want to do.

im thinking about defecting to acura. thoes integras have better performance stock and more aftermarket products. unless i can find a gt(eclipse that is).what should i do, granted you guys didn't have eclipses. so don't say get, stick with the eclipse just b/c you have one. i need the truth.

I imported my 01 eclipse spyder 3.0l gt last September from New York got from potakim (something like that) mitsu dealer. I ended up paying $15000 and am just wondering if the dealer saw me coming? the car came with the performance/premier package something like that, 6cd changer. Am just wondering for future refenrence as I thinking of doing this for a bit and making some money. The whole experience was good thing and I can make about $10000 (£5000) profit on this car. Oh and I was told my car use to be owned by a radio dj who does a lot work for the dealership in the Latin community cant remember his name have to check the paperwork I got, he is the Howard Stern of the Latin community so i was told (anyone tell me who there on about).

So did i pay over the odds?

Hi guys I imported a Eclipse Spyder GT 2001 to the uk and the passenger side windows squeaks, I got a feelin its something to do with the rubber seal but am not sure? So has anyone had this problem and can help? Also the speaker in the front dash is crackling so can anyone tell me what size speaker it is and how does remove from the top or bottom?

Obviously not a technical question but just wondering if anyones seen any good Sound systems lately. Im probably looking at a head unit, amp and 2 12" subs with the housing. Ive seen a few around nothing really flashy though...anything with blue extra helpful thats what i m going for throughout my car...oh yea budget=$500

I have a 2004 Eclipse GT and noticed recently a squeaking/rattling noise coming from the back of the car whenever I hit a bump or when there is any vibration from the road. I can't tell exactly where it is coming from, and it is annoying.
Any ideas?

What would you all suggest for new tires for a 01' GS right now still got the "regualr aftermarket" tires on and Ive been having my steering wheel shake when I exceed 60MPH and Ive been told that it could be the tires, or alignment. So i figure try to kill two birds with one stone, get some hot tires and fix this small problem.

OBTW do they usually reinstall your rims (even if they're stock) when they put new tires on....sounds corny but this is the first time ive had to change them since I bought the car 3 months ago

Ok I just bought my Eclipse. I have a small problem the battery light keeps going on and off and the lights dim on and off. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem. My car is a 2000 Eclipse RS.

Just wondering what are some of the cheaper if not free-knowledge on how to get more out of a 3.0. Its a '00 GT if that helps.

waz up everyone, does anyone here ever tried the "turbonator" on an 2000-up eclipse gt? i saw this in a website because its supossed to give horsepower gain (About 10-25hp)! anyone ever tried this?

ive been recently looking around for a new car to buy as a project car and have decided to buy a 2000 or up mitsubishi eclipse. the only problem is i dont know whether to buy the I-4 or the V-6 because i am looking to turbocharge it later on.
the only problem is ive been looking for turbocharging kits and havent found any at all. which would be my best option the I-4 or the V-6 and where could i find some turbocharging kits. if anyone could help me out that would be really cool. thanks

to my knowledge the 3g Eclipse's dont come with an ashtray is there anyway to find one that would fit in there?

Will the GT engine fit in the RS engine bay.

i know this may seem like a stupid question but,is there anything i can do to the cup holders like replacing them or remounting new ones, they get in the way of the shifter, i can't lay my arm down if theres a cup in there. does anyone else have this problem.

The first one is my friends 1992 BMW 325i V6. He is talking **** that he is gonna smoke me but it seems that his car only has 189hp and the GT has 205hp. WHat do you think? I think im gonna smoke his ass.

2000 GT too fast

my friend says that 18" rims won't fit in the wheel space, will they. and if i do get 18" rims how far can i lower my car withoug running into any trouble

When I first got my 01 GS I was hesitant like most new drivers to hit the highway doing 90mph after having just recieved my liscense. After a month or so I grew some balls and wanted to see how far I could push it. I got up pretty nice but once I hit 85-90 I noticed that the steering wheel was shaking. It wasnt like jerky just a lot of vibrating. I took it to the mechanic but they didnt notice anything serious. Any ideas on what it could be?
