so guys just got a 03 eclipse gts all stock and its stick.... i wanna get an intake system but im not really sure what i should get... cold air, ram air, and wat brands im not really sure... wats ur opions??

i took out factory radio, because it broke. installed new one and nothing works now. i dont get any power. the red wire (power) does not have power. it was tested and has nothing. anyway i can get where the wires go and look. or is there fuse(s) i should check.

Just want to know, if there is anyway that you could chek to see if your Coil pack has gone or is going bad??

hey i was wondering if anybody has done a retro fit on a eclipse for hid's lately or in the past because i could use some help on this one. i know what kind of parts to get just not on how to put it all together.

2000 Eclipse GT 88k miles. I found this person had same problem as mine on another forum but no follow ups.

Symptoms: "I start to feel an abnormal vibration on the gas pedal. This vibration coincides with the engine running in and out badly, especially when ideling, in lower gears, and reverse. Finally, I start to smell gas, and occasionally have gotten interesting looking exhaust, and the Check Engine light comes on."

I took it to the dealer did a diagnostic check came back with P0171, p0403, p0300, p0302, p0303, p0305 (misfire). The dealer suggests changing timing built and egr valve wants to charge few thousands. They told me they don’t know the problem and require farther diagnostic, no work was done so I took it home.

I had replaced the rotor, distributer cap, wires, spark plugs, MAF. Clean up the EGR valve. its a simple device not much to clean. Anyone has similar issues? Next thing that I could think of is to replace the distributer.

Ok guys I need some help here. I have got an 04 eclipse GT W/AT stock other than radio, and for some reason the shift indicator for Drive does not come on except and here is where it gets weird on long trips with the cruse control on (30mi no stopping) but once it is on i can slow down, speed up, stop, and even put it in park and the D light will light up when it's in drive but if i turn it off the light no longer works. Does anyone have any idea what the heck is going on here????????????

currently i have like an orange color dashboard lights, i hate them so much lol it doesn't match anything. i need some tips on how to change them and where to get the bulbs from to replace them. i was thinking probably a blue color.

i just purchased a set of halo lights for my 2002 eclipse gt because my stock ones didint look all to great. How would i go about in changing out the headlights. I know theres a couple of bolts i have to take out and I have to unplug my stock headlights is there anything else i should know?

How would i go about in reasurring that no water gets into my new headlights? Is there a type of seal i can buy or is there something i can do?

i havnt been able to find a aftermarket mass airflow sensor for any mitsubishis nevermind a 2000 eclipse. does anyone know where i can get one? do they even make them for mitsubishis?

I'm looking for someone who owns a 3g GT in orlando. I'm an 'expert' computer repairman, and a hobbyist car repairman.

When a computer stops working, there could be a million reasons, and the best way to narrow down whats wrong with a computer that wont even start, is to test each component individually. By replacing the suspected part with one that works for sure. I'd like to do the same with my eclipse, mostly because its such an easy part to do this with.

My engine light is on, I've had autozone tell me based on the OBD codes its a minor emissions leak, which is kinda broad. And based on the repair guy I unknowingly paid $50 to hook up to his "engine light reader thingy", the Air intake sensor is shot. Which is a part in the Mass Air Flow sensor. So idk which one to believe. And im not gonna spend a few hundred $$ on a part that might not even fix the problem. So I'd love to run a quick test.


The Mass airflow sensor takes literally 2 small bolts and a minute to remove. Any chance I can find someone to help me out?

I know the engine light on cant be too serious, cause it came on 2 months ago, and i had the balls to drive it 1200 miles to orlando straight through in one night. Nothing blew up.

alright, ive read tons of topics about turbos for the V6 Gt model, but can someone get me a few websites where i can get one? im ready to install one, i have the money saved up, but no one really said where i can get one. anything?

These aren't very common and pics are hard to come by - so I figured I would show what was added to the car this past weekend.

I got a small problem, i have a bulb going out on my the right side and i don't know which one it is. it seems to click only when it wants to. i was thinking to just wait until it goes out completely. anyone know if i can find out before so i can replace it???

alright i have a 2000 eclipse gt, and i want to change my turning signal and i found this reallly sexy one but its for the 03-05 version. Now i know its not going to fit because the bumpers are slightly different but do you guys think its gonna be that difficult to make it fit? if any1 can help thanks.

I've been trying to buy an 03 or 04 eclipse for a while now and this seems to be the best one I can find at the moment. I haven't been to see or test drive the car yet (it's raining like hell outside) but from what I can see on the pictures there is no body damage. Is it worth it? If so, how much should I try to get the dealer down to?

I have a 2000 GT with the auto and open gearbox. When I or the comp shifts from 2nd the 3rd and 3rd to 4th my rpms surge. The tranny fluid is fine in volume and quality. I was thinking the bands or and comp issue. Or I could be completely off but does anybody have an idea?

I just got my 2000 Eclipse and on the gas tank cover it says to use premium gas only. Do I really need to use it?

Ok so i just bought this 2000 Eclipse GT and it looks all fine and nice, but when im driving around and i have to stop at a red light for more than 10 sec the RPMs start to like jump but not high, it barely makes it to 1, but its enough that you can feel the car sort of jump.. idk what it is and i cant really figure it out.. if anyone else is having this problem or anyone knows what it is and how to fix it please tell.. thanks

well i've had my 04 mits eclipse gts 5 spd n so far i luv it...ive put in a AEM CAI n 18" rims and the next thing i would wanna put is dual exhaust but dont know where to get it...and what brand would be good for what i have? any help...thax

first off whatsss up everyyone.. i just ran into these fourms and seems like a cool place to find out more about my car.

so i recently purchased a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse rs to replace my 96 totaled eclipse.

i found out that i had to call the dealer because it said CODE for the raido and gave him his info and got a code.

then a buddy of mine was ganna hook up a new radio for me.
while doing it. for some odd reason one time ill turn on the other it wont. but then finally. the radio shut off and it wouldnt turn back on. we put the factory one back in and it wont EVEN ASK for a code anymore!!

i tryed unhooking the battery but it didnt help.
now something i did notice that also happend along with this was the Power locks. when the car is OFF they dont work. and the other thing it came with a keyless entry alarm, that used to lock it and unlock it fine. but now that dont work either! it just flashes the lights.
i checked all fuses and they all seem fine. so its just realllllyyy a headache trying to figure out whats wrong.

OK..... Now a friend of mine suggested an idea of what to use to clean it out. I wanna clean it out because it idles kinda rough. I had done a reset on the computer by disconnecting the battery and it ran smooth for like a day or two. Now my friend said to use a degreaser like 409......... Now I'm not that stupid but he claims it works fine. But I wanna use somthing thats made to clean that out. What products are there to use?

ok so here is a dumb question. how do i get read of water spots on my ****ing sunroof. its seems like ive tryied everything. i take really good car of my car but still dont know much. i like it looking good but every time i look up i see them and i cant get read of them. does anyone know of a solution. the car came like that.

I'm trying to put a Dual XHD-6425 in my 2004 Eclipse GS Spyder with the Infinity system and ran into some problems. I hooked the new HU up with the amp integration harness (Metra 70-7003) and only got sound out of the back left speaker. I put the stock HU back in and plugged it in, but now there's no sound coming from that either. Any ideas of what could be wrong with (preferably) my installation of the aftermarket unit or the reinstallation of the stock one? Thanks

Hi! I bought my 2003 Eclipse new and am now starting to have the paint problem that everyone with a black eclipse from that year is having. I know very little about cars above standard care. I went to the dealership (ha!) and they said that I would have to have records for every smidgen of work I have had done on the car and pay for any little dings on the car as well as get my 60,000 mile tuneup from them (including timing belt, $1500). Then, they would seek approval from Mitsubishi to get the paint fixed but there are no guarantees. Its driving me nuts! I have a guy who has cared for my car under the table (thus, no records) who will do my tuneup. What can I do about the paint? Is there anyone who will paint it inexpensively? Any advice about how to get Mitsubishi to cough up a paint job before it gets worse?

im looking for lights that fit the little round holes in the front bumper of my 03 eclipse gs. i hate how they look with those black pieces of plastic they stick in there to cover the hole
i was also gonna put lights into those "slits" (for lack of a better word) that are underneath the headlights. how would i take the plastic cover piece out of there, or do you even take it out? thanks for the help
