I need to replace the rear disc pads on my carisma 1.8 GDI year is there any procedures I need to do or can you just push the caliper piston back in when you have put the pads in?

Had to be told reverse lights were gone, so first checked the bulbs-ok, then went looking in my manual for the location of the sender unit- not much help. Does anyone know where the sender unit would be located for the 89 pajero V6 3.0L manual, and typical testing to check it out or replace sequence, or things to avoid? Thanks in anticipation... ...

The car is Carisma 1.8 diesel, from '97.
Both of its main driving lights have stopped working since we've driven the car previously, some 3 weeks ago.
It is not the fuses, we've checked both fuses that seem to be related to head lights.
Also, it is only these lights that are affected by the problem. All the other lights seem to work (the positioning lights, etc)...

and basicly the rad pipe on the right hand side has a small o-ring on it and lookslike it used to have somthing on top of it

My 1.6 carisma is idling high, over 2100rpm on start up cutting down to around 1250 when warm. I have searched the sight on the topic and it seems to be a regular problem but am unsure wheter to start by changing the ICU or the temp sesor or air flow meter. I would be glad to receive a reply from someone who has succesfully fixed this problem.

I think the color in the instrument panel, and the display that shows the time and other stuff is so very boring.
But i can not realy figure out how to get inside the panel to see what could be done with it so now i am asking if anyone else know how to do this?

I've got a year 2000 mitsubishi carisma and have been looking information about getting
a way to display obd- data on my tomtom display.

I know there is a possibility to get such a thing working over bluetooth, because there is already a obd bt device available on the market and TomTom device is a linux based and there is already couple of opensource products available.

When moving slowly over speed bumps or reversing over bumps I can here a "cracking type " noise form underneath rear seat. When driving on the open road there is no noise from the rear. |The car has covered 118000 mls. Model is a 2004 DiD diesel

The reversing light is not coming on at all, I have checked the fuse and the bulb which seem to be fine. There is no electricity coming to the reversing light.

Get a can of pressurised WD40 - the one with the Smart Straw attachment. Detach the hoses from the washer heads and pop the heads from the bonnet so you don't get the WD40 all over the paintwork. I'm thinking of buying a 2002 Carisma Mirage (diesel). It seems like a very good car apart from 1 problem, from standstill and after each gear change its very unresponsive for a second or 2, then slowly picks up speed, could it be the EGR valve?
I'd be grateful for any ideas.

When I accelerate hard in the upper portion of the revs (> 3500) the engine noise changes. The vehicle has an irritating tapping / ticking sound at idle.The dealer claims it is standard on Mitsubishi lpg vehicles and it is the safety solenoid??

I've got a tapping coming from the engine of my 1.8 GDI. I've had a look at a few postings dealing with similar issues but there seems a difference of opinion with regards to the tappets.
