I've got a year 2000 mitsubishi carisma and have been looking information about getting
a way to display obd- data on my tomtom display.

I know there is a possibility to get such a thing working over bluetooth, because there is already a obd bt device available on the market and TomTom device is a linux based and there is already couple of opensource products available.

When moving slowly over speed bumps or reversing over bumps I can here a "cracking type " noise form underneath rear seat. When driving on the open road there is no noise from the rear. |The car has covered 118000 mls. Model is a 2004 DiD diesel

The reversing light is not coming on at all, I have checked the fuse and the bulb which seem to be fine. There is no electricity coming to the reversing light.

Get a can of pressurised WD40 - the one with the Smart Straw attachment. Detach the hoses from the washer heads and pop the heads from the bonnet so you don't get the WD40 all over the paintwork. I'm thinking of buying a 2002 Carisma Mirage (diesel). It seems like a very good car apart from 1 problem, from standstill and after each gear change its very unresponsive for a second or 2, then slowly picks up speed, could it be the EGR valve?

When I accelerate hard in the upper portion of the revs (> 3500) the engine noise changes. The vehicle has an irritating tapping / ticking sound at idle.The dealer claims it is standard on Mitsubishi lpg vehicles and it is the safety solenoid??

I've got a tapping coming from the engine of my 1.8 GDI. I've had a look at a few postings dealing with similar issues but there seems a difference of opinion with regards to the tappets.
My engine is the 4g93 engine which definately has hydraulic tappets.

Well here goes, the dealer told me that a replacement mechanical pump would be approx £800 and that there was only one version for my car, well what a load of rubbish that is.

[FONT=Arial] hi all , after owning my 2000 carisma since may 2007 with 49,000 miles on the clock, the engine started to cut out whilst driving with the engine problem light remaining lit, she did not go into limp home mode, but the engine restarted as normal after i had coasted to a halt, i could not restart the car on the move.

i am aware of the carbon problem in the throttle body etc....

I was looking at my 99 1.6 Glx Carisma shocks the other day, and i noticed that some kind of rubbers between the shock and the car body are worn out.

By changing these rubbers, will that help improve the "running" of the shocks? as my shocks seem to rattle (to some extent).

I have a 1996 Carisma 1.6GL , strange problem come out yesterday , problem is when I stop the car and push clutch pedal the RPM gauge drops on 200-300RPM car shake and looks like is going to shut down but after few seconds everything back to normal. I have a Carisma 1.8 GDi Auto 1999 V and having the occasional starting problem.
90% of the time fantastic starts up great and purs away.
10% You start her and then she dies almost as if the immobiliser cuts her out, after a while she starts fine and is great.

new to the carisma,just came across a problem,and its i can hear a spinning noise when i put car into gear and when i have window open i can here a spinning noise from under the car when car is in gear,its only started today.plus reverse/1st seem harder to get now .car is a 1999 on a T Reg with 72,000 on clock petrol engine 1.6.

The average speed and fuel indicator's can be reset with the white button on the radio fascia but I cannot find a way of reseting the remaining distance indicator.
Is this possible?
If it is then please advise me how to do it.
