Does enyone know if the headlights from new model carisma (after july1999) fit on old model (before june 1999).
I can see that they are slightly different but do they fit?

Here in Finland it has been in service and it has been replace high pressure valve (i have no glue what ever it is). EGR-valve has been cleaned and measured, air mass-sensor is ok, air intake also checked and ok...

A while ago I had BOTH my wing mirrors kicked of during the night by some scumbags,I have been using duct tape to secure them on.But I would really like to get them attached as they where originally.It dosent look as if anything has broken.Does any 1 know how I would go about attaching them.Cheers

I disconnected the engine breather pipe from the inlet just before the throttle valve on my 2000 1.8 GDI. I fitted a small filter on the end of the pipe and blocked off the air feed. I have heard that even that it feeds air to the top of the cam covers oil still gets in the inlet tract. This is very true as I can see oil in the small filter I fitted and this oil is deposited on the throttle...

At first I thought it was the clutch, took it to carshop, they told it wasn't cause once I let the clutch in the sound is GONE but if I put the clutch out it starts again. My 2000 GDi carisma gas motor, has almost 83000km on it it and as far as i know it has never had a major service. is there maybe some things i should consider getting done ie. timming belt, injectors and intake cleaned?

I have just bought a 1.9 GDi Carisma and want to pep it up a bit, i used to have a 1.9 golf tdi which i installed a dragon tuning box onto with great effect, i want to do the same with my carisma.

Does anyone know if this tuning box is any good? Never heard of Diesel bob but its a good bit cheaper than a dragon...

Some help please. My carisma 1.8 gdi has no heating. Neither through the A/C or from the engine heat. I checked the radiator and coolants and they're OK. Any clues?? I looked at the fuses I could identify but they look OK too. Any help appreciated.

I have a CARISMA and i have a problem with the clock.On the disaply unit i see a CT sing and i believe that is the the problem that my clock display the wrong time.It goes about half an hour forward .Can anyone help me to switch off this CT sing? thanks!!!!

I have a 2000 Carisma which I bought as used. I did not get any remote for locking and the previous owner just turned the key. There are different kits for sale on ebay but it appears that they can only be wired in if the locking is not controlled by the ECU. Can anyone shed any light on the feasibility of wiring one of these or where to start. Many thanks

I have a 97 Carisma GL and just recently the heater controls have started to malfunction.Its just the heater power control thats not working correctly,normaly you would have 4 different speed setting on the heater,but only the third setting on my heater is working.Does any one know what could be causing this,I would really appreciate some help.Thanks.

Just a quick word of advice based on my out of pocket experience:

If you have a yellow light on and the car is using 20% more fuel AND is over 40k miles OR you haven't had a new oxygen sensor for 40k miles then the probable cause is the sensor as they only last 40k miles approx, once the sensor dies the cars brain runs of default settings - hence the 20% more fuel use.

I want to fit some different headlights such as angel eyes etc. anyone fitted anything or know something that will fit, thanks

Running a 1.8 GDi Equippe, petrol auto. Yesterday, the computer display packed in, along with the illumination of the (factory) radio/cassette.

The radio still works OK but the display is blank. I'm thinking (hopefully) a fuse but the book only refers to a one for 'gauges'...and I can't find out how to get into the dash fusebox.

what does everyone on here use to read error codes? i can't find anything for my carisma 1999. i have also bought a new throttle body fitted it but i still lose throttle response, it sits alright at 1000rpm then suddenly changes engine noise, something like a induction kit attached and the revs then go up to 3000rpm and engine management light comes on! i have tried altering the sensor etc...

Hi, I am new to this site. I have a mitsubishi Carisma 1.6 (2000). The problem I have is that I cannot select reverse gear. 1st Gear is now where reverse gear used to be and 2nd gear is straight down from that.

i have recently been viewing a carisma gdi and it won't start the aa came out and said it's either the cam shaft sensor or fuel sensors which i take it they mean throttle body sensor?? is this a common problem and can i just take it off and maybe clean the sensors? or do i need a replacement

I own an s reg 1.6petrol carisma, My brother recently bought a nissan skyline, now i dont neccesarilly want to race him but concidered getting an evo, but I would rather it if it were possible to boost the performance of the carismas engine in some way, or possibly replace the engine with an evo engine, if so which one might fit? anyone got any answers or directions they can send me in?

The other day i changed the front break pads on my car and they were working perfectly. Put them on put some dot 4 in and bled them and they were fine. A day later was driving down the road and they just cut out on me. Has any one here ever experianced this.
