If you need help, have a question, or are looking for something specific, proper grammar and punctuation are essential. It's understandable that English is not the primary language for some of our users, but if you are able to use the internet in your country, then you are also able to use spell check, grammar, and punctuation to at least some extent.
Here are a few resources to help you better understand the English language, and how it works.
How to use punctuation correctly:

I am looking for some information that hopefully one of you are able to help me with. Recently, since the fall, I have noticed that the cooling fan - in particular the second one - will remain spinning on high speed even after the car is shut down. The thermostat is the same as it ever is and the car does not appear to be heating up too much.
I am wondering if anyone has any ideas why the cooling fan would do this. My mechanic says there appears to be nothing wrong with the cooling system and the coolant levels are fine. I have been unable to find any answers with some extensive google searching.

Hello, first of all.
I have an 06 Lancer Ralliart and i'm hoping to do a few things to it and would like some opinions or tips before i do.
First of all, it's an automatic, i know, but i did get some big changes in performance on my old car when i did the changes and it was automatic as well.
Anyways, question is: How much, if any, will the following make in my car? Or in other words, s it worth it?
*Cold air intake (against the stock boxed filter)
*Header, exhaust, muffler (i'm not a fan of loud cars, so in any case i'd get a good silencer put in as well)
Will i need to do anything to the computer in order to do these changes? On my older car i had to do a few things so i'm wondering if in this one it's similar.
Also, in the non-performance department, was wondering on aired-discs for the brakes, a friend of mine has been talking about it for a while and i was wondering if its worth it. Apparently they fit the same way as the regular ones and they're about 90$ front and 90 on the back. Never really used em before, so id like some input on those as well.
And finally, I like a rally look on my cars, so which would be the widest tires you could fit into those stock wheels without risking scratching em while turning or while having people in the back?
Thanks in advance for the replies

and sorry for the long post ^^
PS: Any brand named suggestion would be great, i always see so many options i'm not sure which to get

Here is the link to my FS topic, here on these forums (it has some pictures of the intake parts):
http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t49690-fs...9-lancer-mt.htmI have been trying to sell it, and have a potential buyer, but he wants to install it on a 2006 Ralliart.
He's asking if it will fit, I am not sure.
I'm sure it wouldn't be a direct bolt-on, but could it be modified to fit (easily?).
How is the MAF sensor on the 2006 Ralliart?
Would anyone have any insight? I would really appreciate it

Hi,
I'm looking to buy something relatively inexpensive to make into a hobby rally/track car.
I want to stick to Mitsubishi and will most likely try to buy an older Ralliart.
I need it to be AWD, and manual transmission. Also something which I can buy/make performance parts (mostly bolt-ons) easily.
I was looking at the 2006 Ralliart, but by the life of me I can't find solid information if the 2006 AWD Ralliart comes in manual or not?
As a matter of fact I'm not even sure if the 2006 Ralliart even comes in AWD, or is it just FWD?
Are there any other Mitsubishi models (other than the Evo, cause even the older ones are expensive) you would suggest to use as a rally car?
Would you suggest looking into different years of Ralliarts?
Any discussion would be appropriated.
Even if you suggest a different vehicle entirely (i.e. not Mitsubishi).

So about a month ago, i was caught on a nice strip of ice that led me into a snowbank.
My question is how much would anyone ESTIMATE the cost of replacing/fixing? What is your professional opinion?
I checked out the damage and came up with this
The part is what i believe to be #15 on the last uploaded picture.

Sup guys,
so ive had my 06 ralliart for a few months but have only just got it on the road.
really like the car, i was suprised at the power for a n/a sohc engine.
i have a question though, i hear a swishing noise when the mivec engages. is this normal?
it sound to me like air entering the air filter!
the car had an injen cold air intake, but i didnt like the way its in 2 pieces so i turned it in to a short ram. im going to be adding a heat shield to the filter within the next couple of weeks.
i have never heard this before.
thanks
Dave

So i have a small wishlist. I am also an amateur at anything car related
I just want to get a bigger exhaust or muffler for my 2004 Lancer Ralliart
I also want to get some new speakers.
2 questions:
What does everyone suggest for muffler/exhaust? I dont want to be one of those super ricers with annoyingly loud muffler sounds.
What are the size of the speakers? Where do you all shop for your speakers?
Thanks!

Hey jus wondering can we add a Octane Booster to our cars without any issues? The highest rating for gas in my area is 91. The Ralliart manual, claims the BEST persofmance is with 93. You can use 91, but with less performance. So if I add a octane booster additive for each fill up do you think it would cause any harm?
Thanks!

2 years ago when I purchased my 04 Ralliart it came with a few minor cosmetic issues. The previous owner obviously had some mods on the car. In particular was an alarm system, stereo and shifter knob. They took their gear out before trading it in and replaced the shift knob with a universal fit knob. Everything else was the factory original parts.
My issue is that the Universal is a piece of crap and rocks around on the shifter. If I want I can pull it clean off with no resistance. I been trying to track down a Skunk2 shifter for a while now since they make them in the 1.25 thread that is necessary for the shifters. I spoke with Skunk2 this morning and that particular part has been discontinued. Every dealer I have contacted has them on "Backorder" meaning they will never get one since Skunk2 no longer makes it.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a shift knob replacement for the Skunk2 and is not a universal fit.

FYI to all 2008-2009 EVO's and Ralliart owners. There is a saftey recall for the fuel return pipe. It needed to be replaced and some extra bracketing attached. Aparently, with enough vibration it may crack cause fuel to leak, which thus can lead to a fire!
Anyways if you haven't got the sheet in the mail... you will!

I did mine today.

Hey everyone,
Instead of adding an exhaust system here and a CAI there to get several HP for my 06 Ralliart Lancer, I was thinking I would just go the whole 9 yards and get TURBO for it right off the bat.
What are some opinions on this?
Can you purchase OEM TURBO?
Can you purchase it from a Mitsu dealer?
How much would it cost approximately?
Where to look for it?
Thanks,

Hi guys,
I've been trying to talk to companies about making a EVO front bumper that would fit our Lancers. (Evo has wider fenders) Only 1 shop does... but it's in Malaysia. Sipping from Malaysia was 10k from DHL and around 5500$ with FedEx... which is ridiculous for a 350$ bumper.. Weither it's by freight or Standard price was over 4000$.. without duty fees and all that crap.
After sending e-mails to 6 bodykit companies to see if they had any interest to develop one even if I would pay them to do so.., none of them responded.
Is there also a way to remove the crome around the front grill?
Do you guys have any suggestions? What would be a cheap shipping method?

I have an '04 Sportback Ralliart, 28tml on the clock and in the 7 months that I've owned it, I had not ran into really heavy rain until yesterday (that's TX for you). I was not pleased with the results, because the vehicle is practically un-driveable. I can't drive down a straight piece of road that has any water accumulation on the surface without the tail end beginning to oscillate and try to wiggle out of control. If I hit a crack on the pavement that runs parellel with the road, the car will pull violently with the direction of the crack. I have a set of normal size Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge tires with excellent tread on all four corners.
It feels to me like the rear suspension is not 100%, that's the only thing that makes sense. Do these things have weak spots down there that I should be checking out?

I was curious if anyone knew a way to disable the DTRs on a 2009 ralliart. I had a cavalier back in the day and the process to disable them was a big pain. I was wondering if anyone knew a quick, easy way to disable them.
I check the manual and couldn't find anything. Im pretty sure they dont want you to disable them so they may not include that info.

Hey everyone, brand new Lancer Ralliart here. So, I am new to the import scene. This is my FIRST import car. I am coming over from a GP GTP, where I had many many mods etc. Even had a ZEX kit.. Imagine that.. LOL.. Anyways I have to say I do love the Lancer. I am hooked. Oh I am from Canada. So I have the Canucked Ver of the Ralliart.. lol
SO my first question, even tho I am NOT new to car moding, is will Full Synth Mobile 1 oil be a good choice for my car? ALL I ever used for my other cars/trucks was Mobil 1 and I have had nothing but success. Or is there another brand that works better for these cars.
Thanks in Advance!

Not to be confused with the four-door Ralliart sedan that went on sale last fall, this latest five-door version is scheduled to arrive in the States this September. With an MSRP expected to come in at $27,490, which is only $500 more than the sedan, it's basically the same car with a more functional hatchback-style rear end.
While it looks like something that might appeal more to our polar pals in the North (in fact, this bad boy is already on sale in Canada), the 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Sportback will compete hatch-to-hatch with the Subaru Impreza WRX and the new Mazdaspeed3 which is due out later this year.
Mated to its award-winning super all-wheel control (S-AWC) system and Mitsu's six-speed automatic tranny with sequential shift TC-SST, the Ralliart’s 2.0-liter turbocharged and intercooled Mivec four-cylinder (4B11) is essentially the same powerplant found in the more aggressive Lancer Evolution models. Here, however, a smaller single-scroll turbo, smaller intercooler and different intake plumbing results in only 237 hp and 253 ft-lbs of torque, which is still plenty.
Interestingly, fuel economy (17/25 mpg, city/hwy) is nearly identical to the 290-hp/300 ft-lb Evo's, albeit with slightly better highway numbers.
Ralliart models line-up between the regular Lancers and pumped-up Evo models, though it's important to point out the latter trims aren't available in the new five-door Sportback body style.

what type of gas does the 09/10 ralliart take?
i read somewhere its prem.. is this true? and if so, would it even be worth going up to the ralliart from the gts due to the cost of gas alone?
and yes i know its a personal call
