If you need help, have a question, or are looking for something specific, proper grammar and punctuation are essential. It's understandable that English is not the primary language for some of our users, but if you are able to use the internet in your country, then you are also able to use spell check, grammar, and punctuation to at least some extent.
Here are a few resources to help you better understand the English language, and how it works.
How to use punctuation correctly:

That, or you could use Firefox as your internet browser while using our forums. Firefox will underline any word you may spell wrong, allowing you to simply right click your mouse to find the appropriate spelling.

Hey everyone, first what is the STOCK quater mile time to be expected on a 09 Ralliart?
Also, with a estimated 50HP shot of Nitrous (www.zex.com) what would ne a fair estimate in quater times?
Thanks!

Hey jus wondering can we add a Octane Booster to our cars without any issues? The highest rating for gas in my area is 91. The Ralliart manual, claims the BEST persofmance is with 93. You can use 91, but with less performance. So if I add a octane booster additive for each fill up do you think it would cause any harm?
Thanks!

2 years ago when I purchased my 04 Ralliart it came with a few minor cosmetic issues. The previous owner obviously had some mods on the car. In particular was an alarm system, stereo and shifter knob. They took their gear out before trading it in and replaced the shift knob with a universal fit knob. Everything else was the factory original parts.
My issue is that the Universal is a piece of crap and rocks around on the shifter. If I want I can pull it clean off with no resistance. I been trying to track down a Skunk2 shifter for a while now since they make them in the 1.25 thread that is necessary for the shifters. I spoke with Skunk2 this morning and that particular part has been discontinued. Every dealer I have contacted has them on "Backorder" meaning they will never get one since Skunk2 no longer makes it.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a shift knob replacement for the Skunk2 and is not a universal fit.

FYI to all 2008-2009 EVO's and Ralliart owners. There is a saftey recall for the fuel return pipe. It needed to be replaced and some extra bracketing attached. Aparently, with enough vibration it may crack cause fuel to leak, which thus can lead to a fire!
Anyways if you haven't got the sheet in the mail... you will!

I did mine today.

Hey everyone,
Instead of adding an exhaust system here and a CAI there to get several HP for my 06 Ralliart Lancer, I was thinking I would just go the whole 9 yards and get TURBO for it right off the bat.
What are some opinions on this?
Can you purchase OEM TURBO?
Can you purchase it from a Mitsu dealer?
How much would it cost approximately?
Where to look for it?
Thanks,

Hi guys,
I've been trying to talk to companies about making a EVO front bumper that would fit our Lancers. (Evo has wider fenders) Only 1 shop does... but it's in Malaysia. Sipping from Malaysia was 10k from DHL and around 5500$ with FedEx... which is ridiculous for a 350$ bumper.. Weither it's by freight or Standard price was over 4000$.. without duty fees and all that crap.
After sending e-mails to 6 bodykit companies to see if they had any interest to develop one even if I would pay them to do so.., none of them responded.
Is there also a way to remove the crome around the front grill?
Do you guys have any suggestions? What would be a cheap shipping method?

Did a search here but found nothing. I Found this over at Autoblog.com:
http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/17/nearly-...on-ralliart-an/Nearly 7,000 2008-2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Ralliart, and Sportback Ralliart models recalled over fuel pipe crack concerns. The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a recall of potentially 6,903 Lancer Evolution, Ralliart, and Sportback Ralliart vehicles fitted with 2.0-liter turbocharged engines falling between model year 2008 and 2009.

I have an '04 Sportback Ralliart, 28tml on the clock and in the 7 months that I've owned it, I had not ran into really heavy rain until yesterday (that's TX for you). I was not pleased with the results, because the vehicle is practically un-driveable. I can't drive down a straight piece of road that has any water accumulation on the surface without the tail end beginning to oscillate and try to wiggle out of control. If I hit a crack on the pavement that runs parellel with the road, the car will pull violently with the direction of the crack. I have a set of normal size Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge tires with excellent tread on all four corners.
It feels to me like the rear suspension is not 100%, that's the only thing that makes sense. Do these things have weak spots down there that I should be checking out?

Hey guys and gals,
I was curious if anyone knew a way to disable the DTRs on a 2009 ralliart. I had a cavalier back in the day and the process to disable them was a big pain. I was wondering if anyone knew a quick, easy way to disable them.
I check the manual and couldn't find anything. Im pretty sure they dont want you to disable them so they may not include that info.
Thanks!

Hey everyone, brand new Lancer Ralliart here. So, I am new to the import scene. This is my FIRST import car. I am coming over from a GP GTP, where I had many many mods etc. Even had a ZEX kit.. Imagine that.. LOL.. Anyways I have to say I do love the Lancer. I am hooked. Oh I am from Canada. So I have the Canucked Ver of the Ralliart.. lol
SO my first question, even tho I am NOT new to car moding, is will Full Synth Mobile 1 oil be a good choice for my car? ALL I ever used for my other cars/trucks was Mobil 1 and I have had nothing but success. Or is there another brand that works better for these cars.
Thanks in Advance!

I have a 4 piece body kit for sale. It's a GTR kit (probably the nicest, definately the most expensive kit made for the 2004-2007 Lancers. I purchased the kit about six months ago and totaled my car, so now i have this useless body kit. I'm asking $500, OBO. Not to be confused with the four-door Ralliart sedan that went on sale last fall, this latest five-door version is scheduled to arrive in the States this September. With an MSRP expected to come in at $27,490, which is only $500 more than the sedan, it's basically the same car with a more functional hatchback-style rear end.
While it looks like something that might appeal more to our polar pals in the North (in fact, this bad boy is already on sale in Canada), the 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Sportback will compete hatch-to-hatch with the Subaru Impreza WRX and the new Mazdaspeed3 which is due out later this year.
Mated to its award-winning super all-wheel control (S-AWC) system and Mitsu's six-speed automatic tranny with sequential shift TC-SST, the Ralliart’s 2.0-liter turbocharged and intercooled Mivec four-cylinder (4B11) is essentially the same powerplant found in the more aggressive Lancer Evolution models. Here, however, a smaller single-scroll turbo, smaller intercooler and different intake plumbing results in only 237 hp and 253 ft-lbs of torque, which is still plenty.
Interestingly, fuel economy (17/25 mpg, city/hwy) is nearly identical to the 290-hp/300 ft-lb Evo's, albeit with slightly better highway numbers.
Ralliart models line-up between the regular Lancers and pumped-up Evo models, though it's important to point out the latter trims aren't available in the new five-door Sportback body style.

HERE IS MY PROBLEM.
When I drive my car over 70mph, it sways like crazy. I was told it's just the wind, but when I'm having to put all my muscle into keeping my car straight, on a straight road, IT'S NOT THE WIND. The second part of my problem is, IT ONLY DOES THIS WHEN I AM DRIVING THE CAR. When my boyfriend drives it, it's completely fine! I don't know what it could be, therefore everyone thinks I'm going crazy.
ALSO-
Sometimes, when I put my foot on the break, my car shakes like it's having a seizure. Again, only when I am driving it.
My breaks were checked and they are fine.
My car only has 20k on it and EVERYTHING IS FINE, my tires were rotated and balanced not too long ago, have the right amount of air in them, my oil was changed 2k ago, my breaks were checked, all my fluids are at the right levels, am I just going crazy?
I work at a car dealership, and I asked all the techs and they even think I'm crazy, I've had a service advisor drive it and it's "fine".
hellllllllllppppp.

I can get both a working 2003 ralliart lancer and a bunch of parts from a buddy of mine's wrecked 03 evo for VERY cheap. So, I was wondering if an awd conversion would be at all possible on the 4g69 either from evo parts or any other way? What would the ups and downs be if this is possible?

Has anyone out there had any problems with the new SST trans in our cars? My vehicle feels like it's confused with what gear it wants to go in at times. Very rough, especially at low speeds, and down shifting. Do you think that there may be a problem or this the way it's supposed to shift. I can't really tell since the last time i drove an automatic trans regularly was in 98, and that trans was shot. I have to say, personnally I would much rather have a manual trans. Maybe i should have waited till the 2011 came out or just bit the bullet and got the EVO. Not to put our cars down or anything, other than the trans I am very happy with this vehicle.

Hello everyone!
This is my first post here as I just bought my new 2009 Ralliart on thursday.
My first question for all you maniacs is what are the quickest and cheapest horsepower upgrades you can get. Also what companies are most trusted and most reliable when it comes to aftermarket parts? I love cars but have not been much into tuning. Recently though when I bought this car I have decided that I want to keep this car for a long time and personalize it as much as possible.
Also are there certain aftermarket parts that won't void your mitsu warranty?
Thanks in advance for helping a newbie out.

Has anyone done a direct comparison of the stock seats on the 09 RA to the recaros? I have the stock seats, and they feel a little too squishy to me... i'm tempted to switch them out for some recaros.

Hey all!!
I'm new here so I thought I would say hi!
Im actually looking to buy an 05 Ralliart 2.4L auto in the next couple weeks and just wanted to ask if there was anything I needed or ask before I went and did this?
the car is gray, stock and has 56k KM on it. The good body has been well maintained as well.
Please let me know if there is anything you guys can help me out with!
Thanks!
