If you are having trouble with your system or just want to know what is the correct operation is vs incorrect have a look at this before searching or starting a...

Hey all - as many of you probably have had happen - my crank bolt loosened on my 1998 Montero Sport and sheared the roll pin. My problem is that the roll pin is sheared in the lower timing belt gear(pulley). My question is - since these roll pins are so hard to deal with - is there emough clearance to drive the roll pin through the gear? Will it fall out before it hits the block? Will I be...

Both mirrors go in by them self without pussing any buttons after a while they go in again sometimes they just go half way.
I have taken out the switch panel from the dashboard , they still do this with NO switch in place .
Does someone know as where I can find the controle unit which send power to those mirrors

The vehicle is a V6 Petrol SWB Shogun. I know these are thirtsty beasts but this is REALY thirsty. The exhaust also smells of unburnt petrol. On my Motorbike I can balance or syncranise my throttle bodies and "tune " the ECU in much the same way as you can change the air/fuel jet on a carb. This has helped clean up a smelly exhaust and improve fuel consumption. Is it possible to do the...

Hello guys. I am new here.
I have a Montero 1994 SR 3.5L version which I have rebuilt. Currently the 4WD system fails to engage after previously being ok. Have not changed anything but went off road after fixing an oil leak on the oil cooler system. Found that it would not engage and dashboard lights remain flashing. Central diff lock engages, as does rear diff lock, but no 4WD.
