Hi there, i'm wanting a wider look for my shogun and i'm unsure whether to fit spacers or chunkier tyres.
Spacers would probably be the easiest option but i haven't been able to find any. But the chunkier tyres would come in handy for offroad use as the current tyres are sh*t offroad and in the snow.

Hello. I rebuilt the engine on my 2000 Montero. It has the 3.5L 6G74 SOHC. My timing belt is set up perfectly, however, my ignition timing is 28deg. advanced. My mechanic checked it (for $240) but didn't know what to do. Ignition timing cannot be adjusted supposedly. It is controlled by the sensors on the camshaft and crankshaft. The vehicle runs smooth but when it warms up or is...

I've just recently purchased a full size 1998 Montero w/65k. First off, gorgeous vehicle!! 2ndly, I'm interested in purchasing a keyless remote fob off of ebay. The only thing is trying to have it reprogrammed. There are a couple of vendors that are selling some aftermarket key fob w/reprogramming instructions, but I'd like to stick the the original remote since this Montero...

Ive got a problem with my Shogun Auto. I can do the odd bit of spanner weilding but electrics baffle me. So here goes: After a few miles of running, the ABS light comes on. does this automatically mean there is a problem with the ABS or could it be a wire break/ crap on the sensor? default/beer.gif' ...

I have a 1994 Montero SR with a 3.5L DOHC engine. The original engine threw a timing belt and went ka boom. We swapped one of those "Japanese Origin" engines out of an automobile for the original. I picked this Montero up as a project vehicle, and it has never run since I started working on it.
The new engine, originally set up for a FWD car, had to be stripped completely...

Hello everyone. I have an '02 Montero Limited 3.5l. It was overheating suddenly with no fluid loss. Clutch fan seemed fine and electric fan was working. I replaced the thermostat and still overheated. No water in the oil so I decided to change the water pump. After replacing this, I really do not feel that this was the problem. The pump felt fine with no play and fins looked ok. Anyway, while...

I had a remote starter installed in my 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport aftermarket in December of 2004. Shortly after, my doorlocks started to act up. They showed me the spec sheet they use on this model vehicle for installations. Under warnings it notes: When doing...

Hi
I have a 1991 V6 3.0L pajero. The alternator belt is newish but making a lot of noise. Had the belt off and it's fine. As far as I can tell the noise could be coming from the tensioner pulleys - which although they rotate freely, dont feel as though they have any lubrication any more.
Ran some light oil in them and the noise subsided - but that wont last for long...

I have adjustable ride control on my 1994 montero, but need to replace the shocks. Is there any issues when I disconnect the wire from the adjustable shock and replace it with an aftermarket (Procomp)? Will it cause the computer to send an error signal and trip the check engine light?
Does anyone know the difficulty level of changing the shocks on a 1994 Montero.
Thanks,

Hi there, my Shogun Sport has 245/70/16 tyres on it and I'd like to replace them with something slightly larger. Does anyone know if the 265/70/16 tyres from the L200 would fit ok? (Not sure why such similar cars have different tyres?!) I could also go for 255/70/16 I suppose as somewhere inbetween.....
Any advice is very much appreciated!
Thanks

Hi guys!
Recently, I had a top hose leak which I overlooked and almost cooked my engine. The coolant was totally dried and the engine just died. Luckily, I was driving quite slowly around the neighborhood.
I replaced the coolant and the engine runs fine, but the damage is now manifesting itself with a daily coolant loss. I suspect that the head gasket is gone, but I...

I have a 1994 Montero with a 3.5L DOHC 24V V-6. I'm having a heck of a time after an engine swap with no spark at the rearmost coil pack. All options have been exhausted (see my other post) to find the reason for this; and I am fairly convinced the ECM coputer may be faulty.
Does a Mitsubishi dealer have a way to test this, or is this a "buy to try" item like the...
