I was wondering how the eclipse handles on the track. I was thinking on getting some track time at willow springs in california, but kinda worried about the stock setup. All i see that it needs is a bettr battery tie down. I want to mod the intake and exhaust before that. Has anyone had a chance to really wring one out on a track?

just bought new 2006 eclipse. great car. but can't find inexpensive copy of the factory 2006 shop manual. not on eBay and dealer wants some crazy price list $150 for a $2 CD

anybody have any ideas on how to get the real (not Chiltons) manual?

Does anyone know what it would take to get an iPod in the
Eclipse? I found this article:

I don't want to do FM transmitters. I think the CD changer is in-dash which rules out the cd-changer auxiliary input method. What to do?

With my Honda Civic hatchback I just got a stero with a CD changer available, got an adapter cable to allow RCA input to the changer channel, converted that to headphones input, routed that through a Belkin charger behind the dash which was connected to a splitter on my cigarette adapter. Anyways net result is that I just put my iPod on this dock connecter, and TADA I've got a direct input from my iPod to my stereo AND my iPod is charging.

Thoughts?

I to thought that the Eclipse GT felt a little out of control when I really accellerated - like the steering got all weird. Anyone else notice that?

I purchased a new eclipse back in june. so far i think it is a great car. i know, i know i should have gotten the 6 cyl. but budget constraints and the high mark up on the 6 cyl. was too much. Other than that i like the car alot. I opted for the dun & sound package. The stereo is as bad as any other premium sound system that I have seen, or owned. only problem is the power issues. I am trying to push some aftermarket companies to get off their butts and make some parts. I hope to put on a supercharger (when one is available). keep a look out, might be some parts available soon.

had car for little over week the lcd panel on the display for the radio quit working took to dealer they pulled it out of another car all is good. mac west nyc

My wife just got a 2006 Eclipse GS. She wanted the sun & sound package but the only car we could find in the Sunset pearl color didn't have it. The stereo upgrade isn't as important as the sunroof to her. The dealer said we could have a sunnroof added. Does anyone know if this is a good thing to do? We were told it would be slightly different and have a 10 year warranty.

Hi, I got my 2006 GT sunset three weeks ago. Technically, just today b/c my dad said he had to break in the car so I didn't get it til now. But there's this weird issue with the driver power seat. When adjusting the seat back or to the front, it makes loud noises and only one side adjusts. I'm planning to take it back to the dealership and have it checked out soon. But I was wondering if anyone else who has the 2006 has seen a problem?

So What do yall think of the new 2006 mitsubishi eclipse GT? i think its a badass car! i like da interior a lot and the outside looks more like a 2g eclipse which makes it look hella bad. I do link the fact of da 3.8L mivec but if i get this car i can definetly live with that engine which delivers 263 BHP. this eclipse is gonna be something and it gonna put da eclipses back on top!!!!
