I just bought an expo with a good engine, great interior and body, and cold air. It just needs a transmission. Been looking online...750 for used with 100,000 is the best I can come up with. Any help??

RVR TDI recently low revs power started to reduce (below 2000 rpm) I diagnosed a failing turbocharger. As I would expect the engine was producing large amounts of black smoke if given full 'throttle' due to lack of air this clearing as the turbine comes to speed. Quantities of white smoke are then produced but exhaust clears as engine speed continues to rise.

I have an Mit RVR-X 1993 model (A/T) vehicle. What i observe is that the temperature indicator goes almost in the middle of the guage. Is this normal? I checked the coolant, fans and radiator and seems they are ok. I am just concern because some sites says that hot engine will damage the transmission.

i was looking to put some evo viii pistons on my rvr. will it fit? I know ppl have put them on the galant vr4 1g 4g63 but will it fit on the 2g 4g63? and i have a new set of piston rings for the rvr will it fit on the evo viii pistons? I have a 1996 rvr turbo.

My remote locking has never worked, in fact i thought the remote must not be for this vehicle..
But i was messing with it today, and tried a new battery and it all of a sudden started to lock and unlock the doors as it should, I got exited about a new function i had found.. and then it stopped working again.. and hasnt since ...

after 2 yrs i have just got the turbo diesel rvr 1996 back on the road and have got the orange light on the left hand side of dash under the temp gauge of the car with the cross over line behind it coming on and staying on....

My aircon fuse keeps blowing, but it will work fine if i keep the engine revs down, if i have to overtake for example, and rev the engine, it pops the fuse, my only theory is the compressor pump is the problem, but it seems free enough to turn by hand...

I have a 91 RVR and it is stuck in third gear. I pulled the TCU and there seams to be some water damage. The mechanic can't pull codes either, so this tells me I am going in the right direct. My problem is I can't find a TCU anywhere (MD750104/G1T11675E). Can anyone help me with this problem?

I ve removed my 1.8L from the car. Left inside is the tranny. I need to get the front pump out of it. How is this done? I removed the 6 bolts on the face of the pump but now I cannot get it to move. Is there something else I need to do to remove the pump? The seal is bad for the 2nd time due to the torque converter bushing spun in the pump. I tried to glue it in with JB weld with no luck...

I have the key fod with the two buttons. One have the word lock engraved on it. I am not sure it is same for all rvr and the other is just plain.

Anyway, because I do not have the owners manual in English, I have had to discover certain things as i go.

i just recently bought a 2001 RVR 1834cc,my question is,in Jamaica we only have 87 and 90 octane fuel, i use the higher available fuel,what problem may i have,because it seems with a GDI engine my octane level should be higher. Hi, My RVR has started losing water from the coolant system, I cant find any leaks, its not going in the oil, and ive checked for wet carpets, in case the heater matrix leaked..
its just slowly disappearing.. where else could it go?

Can any one tell me how to get a 1998 RVR TV and Radio to work. I recently bought it and the previous owner said they could'nt get it to work.

The knobs and buttons is in Japanese. Nothing come on the display sceen. However if the connection are disconnected an error (in japanese) come on the display.

I'm looking to replace my mother in-laws cam belt on her petrol 1.8 litre 95 RVR sometime this summer as she is about 10k overdue. For those that have done this task is it a straight forward job (like no special tools required) and what else do you recommend I replace while I'm at it (ie bearings, seals, water pump, etc) ?

Hi, my RVR overheated on the way to work today. Steam began coming out of heater vents! This followed a leak of what I thought was clutch and brake fluid from under the dash into clutch/accelerator area. I now think this may in fact be radiator fluid but levels seem fine.... can anyone shed some light on this? HELP PLEASE default/' ...

My 1995 2ltr TD has a preheat time of about 1 second. Seems very short to me.

Hello there, I just noticed tonight that the lights up display of Neutral (N) by the gear knob is flashing. The one on the dashboard is fine and the car seems to drive fine as far as i can tell. Is this a problem or just the lights playing up?

Once again, it is only the N light on the gear box panel that is flashing not the one on the dash board.

my 1991 1800cc front wheel drive rvr revs during the chage between 2nd and 3rd gear.this has only happened since the oil pump and band has been changed.the first few changes on a cold engine are fine. also when under load on steep gradients the change is fine,but 99% of the time its not fine.I have had no luck with the local dealers finding out any thing.can anyone help thanks[B]...

Hi there people. My dad brought a1994 RVR DOHC 2ltr Sport Gear with the ECI Multi. It is an Auto. The car is great, but the engine rpm drops off at 23-2600 and comes back online at 15-1800 rpm while cruising on the highway or constant throttle around town. Its almost as if the auto trans is telling it engine to power down then power up, as there is no surginging just the tacho needle going off.
