Just had the 97 RVR since last week, still only the one solution for no handbook and thats to buy one - probably from the UK and a steep price - £26 to ship it out to Malta for me....!!
Was still hoping for some sort of simple handbook download ( pdf ) for my Import car, keeping fingers crossed.
anybody have any proper European or Jap Mitsubishi sites that may send me...

Hello all,
After a few days of subzero weather and snow my Expo began overheating with the gauge to full scale and coolant venting/bubbling into the reserve tank. The temperature rapidly drops when the engine is turned off. I am hoping the solution is replacing the thermostat.
If so, where is it located?
Thanks,
angela

I had it rebuilt 60,000 miles ago and it started hunting through the gears. I checked the fluid first and thought it was full. I thought maybe the fluid and filter should be changed even though I was using mobil 1...

The intermittent clutch sticking problem has been diagnosed as "CRANKWALK".

Its not viable really.

Hi. New member posting for the first time. I have recently bought a 1994 RVR Super Sports Gear 2.0 petrol turbo and need new front discs. Mitsubishi dealer is quoting around £250 for a pair and the parts factors I've tried either don't stock them or have them listed as a 4 hole fitting and mine are 5 hole. What are the usual things that need replacing when changing the timing belt?
I also have a oil leak somewhere in there I guess an oil seal!
What grade ATF are you guys using in your auto?
What grade of oil are we supposed to use in the engine?

Hi guys
Can anyone tell me what is the standard size speakers for installing in the doors and rear cargo area of the later model RVR?

Likewise the door speakers. They sound OK [ish], but are pretty small. Has...

1991 rvr accellerates to 4000rpm and then struuggles to maintain speed until throttling off. If under 4000rpm surges while maintaining speed, if over 4000rpm stumbles and slows. I have checked fuel pressure - holds over 40psi, fitted new thermostat and checked for vacuum leaks. Cleaned sooty plugs - made no differance. On checking fuel injectors 3 were wet - don't know what they are should...

The shift postion switch. The ECU and TCM. Everything I can think of. I can drive it 15 to 20 miles and it shifts fine then goes into limp mode. After it's parked and sits, it starts and shifts fine...

I am looking at buying a 98 or 99 RVR X2, either 1.8 gdi or 2.4 gdi.
Every spec I read seems to indicate they have rear drum brakes. I find this hard to believe in this day and age.
Is this true?
Has the 2.4 got drum brakes on the rear? Or in the case of the X3, the turbo 2 litre, does that have drums on the rear?
