Hi guys I am new to this forum, I own a 93 Express van, that I use to transport my motocross bike.
I am looking into changing the diff centre to get more speed and less torque, I am in 3rd gear by the time i get to 70kph, and it chews alot of fuel, revving highly to sit on 110-120 out on the country highways going to races.
I just want to know if anyone has done this before...

hello peoples!
I am from Australia and am trying to find workshop manual for my 96 Express Van with 4d55 engine. Seems to be a weird year as haynes and other manuals seem to be non-existent.
Anywhere i can download a manual as 4d55 seem to be a common engine just not in an express van.
Thanks again

Hi,
I need to know if the bolt that holds the timing gear to the crankshaft is right or left thread.
I applied moderate torque as if it is right hand but better check before ramping up the effort.
Can anyone help with this?

Hi All
Considering buying an old Delica 1600 pickup, very cheap but a bit smoky. Is it possible to replace the piston rings with the engine in the vehicle? In other words, is there enough sump clearance to disconnect the big ends?
I've done this on a 1800 BMC "B" series engine in a Marina, but the sump was completely unobstructed on those, its a push-rod engine,...

Just aquired a 1998 Express WA walk-through, brilliant van, just I have no overdrive. The dash light does not come up and neither does the 'D' drive light. The car runs fine, trans works fine. Checked the O/D switch, dash lights, connectors and still nothing. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it.

Hi. I'm doing up my Mitsubishi 1993 model L300 van for my motocross bike, and I recently put a pod filter on it. When I rev the motor the rocker cover breather hose makes a loud noise. Sounds kindda like an exhaust.

Hey there, wondering if anyone can confirm the temp setting of the thermostat for a 2.4 petrol delica should be 82deg C? Have heard that some run a 88deg C thermo and feel this may be why my van's temp gauge is closer to Cold than middle o the road. Have replaced thermo and temp sender. Gauge registers but stays in low range.

Just an update.
I added some photos of the water pump mods to the last post. If you happen to have a sharp eye you will note the alt bracket is in front of the ps bracket. Too bad the water pump pulley will not fit on like that. So i had to remove the ps bracket and grind the water pump a bit so the alt bracket would fit. It's not very pretty but it worked out fine.

I had the centre bearing on my '94 WA Starwagon replaced about 10mths ago. The one that was taken out was obviously shot as the rubber was torn, etc. However after having just recently had some work done where I was able to sus out underneath while it was up on a hoist I noticed that there was considerable movement (about 50 - 60mm up and down, a little less side to side) of...

Hello everybody,
My 1993 L300 has a 2 liter engine and automatic gear. The fuel sytem is based on a carburettor. My problem is that it gives me a hard time trying to adjust its idling speed. Ideally the speed should be 900+-50 rpm and this in 4 idling modes:
- gear in neutral/parking and air condition off;
- gear in drive (R, D. 2 or L) and air condition off;

Hi all,
Anyone had any experience with rear wheel bearings in the 4X4 diff. I had a bit of a play when I fitted new ones in my SH 4X4. Instead of packing them with grease I left the inner seals out so that they could run in oil (I jacked the RH side up when I filled the diff to slightly overfill it to make sure bearings got oil). It worked well for about 20,00km's then one of the...
