Hi everyone,
As per title,
I have a 1990 L300. My (colum change) shifter is "sloppy" (i.e: goes into gear not a worry, but theres alot of play in the gear lever). Just wondering if anyone here, could tell me how to remedy this problem. Its the first Mitsi I've ever owned, and I know nothing at all about it ...

Hi ,
I' have a L300 4WD 2.0 equiped with the 4G63 carb. 2.0.
My van is one of the very last 1983-1986 version, a couple of months before the model was revised and improved by Mitsi.
My power steering pump is out of order,
and I try to find one on the internet.
So, I desperately need the misti part number for this one....
Thank you in...

Hi All
This is my first venture into mitsubishi's. I have an 1988 L300 express and was wondering if anyone can emaile a electrical diagram and also can anyone give me some advice on the steering. It has a bit of play in the steering wheel and was wondering what is the normal problem and repair option.
I look forward to a responce from anyone.
Cheers.

Can anyone help my space gear will stall after approx 1 mile ,if left to warm up for 10 mins it will not do it and once restarted it is fine .There is a bit of smoke when restarted but i think that is excess fuel ,it runs fine once it has done this with no power problems and no smoke .The garages who have looked at it have no idea .

Hi all
I've recently satisfied my long time desire to own a van. The van that caught my eye was a 96 Starwagon Satellite. It runs really well (it has the 2.0 litre engine), by no means neck breaking but its honest.
When i bought it there was some trouble getting it into 4th gear (overdrive) but the people I bought it from were able to fix it before I took delivery of it....

- repairing the problem inside my 4WD steering coulomn isn't a better/cheaper...

Hi Guys, I have an 89 2.0 ltr starwagon that has just had the motor reconditioned and when i got it home noticed an oil leak. I have a 1990 l300 2.0litre petrol and i had a leaking water pump. I removed the timing cover only to realise that the balance belt had snapped also.
I have two questions,
1: Is the only way of replacing the belt by removing the crankshaft?!
2: What would happen if I didn't replace the belt?

Hey folks.
I have a 1990 L300 LWB Cyclone 2.0litre petrol and I want to replace a leaking waterpump.
Any advice, suggestions or if possible some diagrams of waterpump postion, timing belt set-up etc.
I'm under pressure for time so any speedy response would be hugely appreciated!
I have plenty of mechanical experience changing belts pumps etc but never on an L300.

Leaving my driveway my horn in the 85 Starwagon was starting to beep slightly on its own. 5 minutes later I was sounding a wake up blast to all of Brisbane before I removed the fuse and killed the earsplitting sound.

Q2- Is there a test...

I have a 1998 WA Starwagon GLX (Auto) that has done 235000Kms. On idel mainly if aircon is on and when started it blows alot of blue smoke. Does anyone know if this would be due to stuffed oil seals or valves or could it be the rings. It does not blow smoke when accelarating. From the day i bought the van it has always seemed very gutless. Is this normal for this model van?
