Hi
I have both of these vehicles and have spent a lot of time working on them, particularly the 1984. It has a 2.6 astron, hi lift kit, long range fuel tank, snorkel (not currently fitted because of auxillary tank) rear wheel carrier, alloy bullbar, overhead console (aluminium), etc. All of these I have done myself and can help if needed.

Ive tried to contact the owner, but i wondered if anyone had had a similar problem? Anyone an expert, anyone fancy taking a couple of digi photos of the bumper...

hi , we just bought a second-hand L300 sportpac 1991 van. It has a few problems which we would like some help to figure out.
Firstly when we got it it had a water leak behind the heater which is now fixed. It apparently has a "miss". some thought it could even be as serious as a cracked head but there is no tell-tale oil in the radiator nor water evident in the oil ...so far so...

To fellow readers,
I just replace timing belts for my 1995 diesel l300 versa van. Now my tailpipe keeps on emitting smoke. I just got apprehended by smoke belching authorities
and paid 2000 pesos penalty. Would a calibration to the injection pump resolve the
problem or could it be something else? A reply would be helpful and greatly
appreciated.
Thanks for...

Is there anybody that owns or knows somebody with a 3.0 delica that can give some figures on fuel consumption.
I am looking at buying one and would like to know how much do they drink.
these are the petrol version pd6w. auto. 4wd. exactly the same as the diesel version pd8w etc
Are they as heavy on fuel as the Pajero or triton?
Many thanks

I get 6 kilo's/liter which I figure is about 15 mpg. Isn't that too low for a 1.6 ltr engine? I have a high top L300 1992.
I think the gas here is low octane but still . . .

Hi, it's me and my broken carb again. It' s on a 94 L300 van 2lt 16 valve. I talked to Mitsubishi and they said it's the fuel cut off that's failing due to loss of power to the solenoid. It would be a great help if one of you techies could help me with the wiring. ie. which colour is which. I'm desperate. HELP

My 1991 Mitsubishi Delica with Automatic Transmission consumes about 4.5~5 km/Li of diesel. Is this the normal consumption of the 4D56 turbo-diesel engine? Do you have any suggestions on improving my fuel consumption?

Ok,my appologies for the spelling mistake - it should read L300 auto to manual.
Has anyone ever attempted to convert an L300 auto to a manual box, if so and if it was successful let me know - any info would be great.

Hi, I live in South Australia and have owned my 1984 L300 4x4 for around 5 years.
I am in the process of striping and restoring it, and have been toying with the idea of finding a compatible Diesel engine to fit in place of my current 2L petrol. I recently bought a l300 4x4 85 mod. I had no probs for a while ,till my gearbox went to god. Looking around for another box has turned into a nightmare, but have found a 84mod gearbox but do not know if it will fit or even if its a 5 speed box or a 4 speed box. Would be grateful for any advice possible.

Hello,
Usual question for Mitsubishi newbie:
Am about to part with sub-$10,000 for a sub-100,000 kms 1989 Delica. Apart from the obvious question mark over the Odo reading, is there anything in particular I should know about buying a grey import as far as legal, parts availability or particular issues with this model. The usual vehicle check is good. Does anyone know...

Dear friends, I just bought a fairly used mitsubishi L300 van (diesel) 1987 model on a 2.4L engine. The car seems to be working very well. But the problem I now face is that both the temperature sensor guage in the dash board and the diesel guage in the dash board are not working. Also the head lights and the trafigator lights do not work. I have checked the fuses and they are all ok. The van...

Gooday all. I don't know what my L300 markets as in the US but I'm sure it's there in some form or other. It's early 80s and getting a bit long in the tooth (like its owner) but still a good performer on road and off. Apart from lousy fuel economy (<20mpg despite extensive carby overhaul, any suggestions how to improve would be welcome) I have a minor electrical problem. Low...
