The original Airtrek name was chosen to "describe the vehicle’s ability to transport its passengers on adventure-packed journeys in a 'free-as-a-bird' manner", and was "coined from Air and Trek to express the idea of footloose, adventure-filled motoring pleasure."
The Outlander nameplate which...

Hi all,
I have been looking for a seat cover for my Outlander 06, but I can't find any place where to buy something with a good quality. I saw few bids on Ebay.com, however, the feedbacks from the buyers regarding these products are not good (i.e. bad quality, bad material, difficult to install, etc, etc).
If somebody knows where I can buy seat cover (for all the seats...

Hi All,
We have an 04 Outlander XLS that has two unique problems.
1) We the car idles, the engine fans runs very often and revs the egine up about 200 more RPM.
Any one else got this problem? The dealer told me it was normal.
2) When you first turn on the A/C I smell a musty odor for about a minute than it goes away. Any fixes?
Thanks All!

It seems the toe in was was out in the front of my 05 Outlander LS AWD and the front tires are badly worn at just 18000 miles. I guess I need to pay better attention. default/unsure.gif' 'unsure.gif' />

When I turn on my right turn signal, the fuse blows. When I step on my brake the right turn signal lights comes on along with the dashboard lights (which do not come on unless I press on the brake).
The right rear tail light does not come on (I have not checked the bulb yet as it comes on when I press on the brake).
This just started happening and I am hoping someone can...

I'm having trouble determining whether I have the proper automatic transaxle fluid level. I've read the instructions on how to check it (car on level surface, engine warmed up, momentarily select each gear ending in park, engine idling), but I can't seem to get a consistent reading.
I thought it looked low initially (barely above the cold mark when warmed up), so I added a...

I recently upgraded the stereo in my 2003 Outlander to one of JVC's double DIN DVD units. I originally had the premium stereo in the Outlander with the tweeters, amp, all that stuff - and it sounded pretty good. I decided to upgrade so that I could have a satellite radio deck, and play DVDs. After upgrading, the sound is just awful. It sounds like everything is high-mid range - NO bass at all....

Hi, I'm from NZ and have a 2003 Airtrek Turbo. Does anyone out there know how to get more bhp and torque out of these engines? I'm aiming for about 300bhp and 300 lbft of torque. Probably need to change the turbo (change compressor wheel or bolt on evo 7 turbo) but the complicated bit is getting the ECU re-mapped. Has anyone done this? Appreciate any feed back?

The center diff for turbo should be the viscous. It is all time 50/50 in normal conditions. But how much does it change the front/rear ratio and in what conditions?
I have hear something like 30/70 in some occasions. Is it true?

I have an O4 Outlander with 55,000 miles on it and the AC has quite working. The compressor does not engage and after a few moments the AC light on the switch starts blinking. I am thinking maybe it just needs a recharge, but it seems a bit odd since the car is only 2 years old. Anybody else had this problem?

Need some help from someone......
Got the wiring diagram for my outlander and it does not make sense. The speaker output from the deck goes to the speaker AND the amplifier. It does not make sense to me, the DIN cable from the headunti should send the sound to the amp, and the speakers should be connected to the amp. The wiring diagram shows the wire going to the amp, and splicing off to...

Hello.
I got my outlander turbo this spring. My problems began in August. When i start the engine and it´s cold i hear a clatter / noise from the engine. It almost sounds that it´s coming from behind the dashboard. But it is not coming from there since it has been unmunted and picked out of the car and the sound still remains. They have also replaced the wires from the gearshifter...

I am just coming up on my first 3500 km's and the motor oil is starting to look dirty and I will be changing it this upcoming week. My question is that the local Mitsu dealer here only uses 10W-30, being located in the very hot and humid city of Panama City, I am looking for some additional protectection like a 10W-40 or 50.
Couple of things, the tempurature is always above 30...

Hi all...
I'm from Malaysia.. and planning on getting an AIRTREK 2.0 Turbo. Since they have stop production, i can only get used ones.
I dont have much knowledge on checking if the 'used' car is in GOOD condition. The previous owner has put in a 'Turbo Timer'. The first time I test drove, while I was reversing the car.. the engine DIED. The reason I was ...

Hi room,
I've just got my AIRTREK 2.0 Turbo. However, while I was trying the top speed on a highway, the speed cuts at about 190-195KM/H (the speedo meter dial max at 180 km/h).
Is there anyone here tried to lift the speed cut / block before. I think I have read it somewhere where you could add some electronics to the ECU to lift it.
Please advise.
