Hello new to the forum but own my 03 outlander for almost 5 years now.
Great car never have a problem with anything until now.
Recently had my front brake pads and rotors change and everything seem fine until about a week later the brake starts to make a very light grinding nose with a bit of squeal everytime brake is lightly applyed whening coming to a slow complete stop.

Hi all, just got my outlander its a metalic blue / gun metalish grey XLS 2003 with 29k miles- local mitsu dealer just did the fan controller recall and that took care of my fans being on after I turn the car off.
They did an inspection and it passed everything- the trans fluid was just flushed and replaced they said- recommended a fluid flush on breaks and steering (why... from my exp...

Could you pls confirm the time and km intervals between the routine service around Europe?
In Greece ie as per Service book should be done every 15,000 km or per year whichever met first.
Talking abt outlander turbo ONLY.

My Outlander came with Yokohama all season tires (225/60/R16). I would like to buy winter tires, my question is: Do I need to buy only this size or Can I put another type (size) on my Outlander? Thanks!

The owner's manual on my 06 SE Outie calls for adjusting the vlaves at around 30k miles or whenever is necessary. I have had the car for almost 2 years now, and have always changed the oil on a regular basis, 6k miles Mobil 1 Full syn 5w30, and OEM oil filter. (I know this is prob. too frequent) The car is not driven hard, and most of the miles are highway miles.
I pulled the...

I have a 2003 outlander. About 6 months after I bought new tires the car developed a vibration. I thought I needed to balance the tires again.
The strange thing is the vibaration is really felt when going over 60 mph. You can feel it slightly at 0-20 mph
Now a rubbing / Grinding sound has developed. It reminds me of when your brake pads are almost gone and you apply the...

Hi Outies
Apart from a few minor niggles I'm very happy with my 03 Outlander. Coming up to 130,000 kms since May-03 & no problems whatsoever!
I would like to reduce my wkly fuel bill by adding the option of LPG. Mitsubishi Aust ( local dealer) tell me that my Outlander cannot be converted (not recommended) to run on LPG.
My ideal would be to be able...

My Mitsu dealer informed me that to keep the warranty I must have the tranny fluid flushed and refilled every 30,000 miles and this is not covered in my free maintenance coverage. Tranny fluid used must be factory made SP3 Diamond not available any where else except dealer. Is this correct?

Yeah, I know Good and car dealers don't naturally belong together but perhaps some of you might know of the few rare ones.
Ok, when you're done laughing do post if you know of a good Mitsubishi dealer in the DFW area. I'm in Coppell (just NorthEast of DFW airport) but will travel to surrounding areas to shop. I'm in the market for a 2004 Outlander.
Thanks.

Has anyone out there taken the dash apart to install an aftermarket stereo? If so I could really use some pointers. I'd like to move my deck over from my truck. FYI it's an '05 Outlander AWD, 5 speed. I figure I better ask before I start hacking and cutting default/grin.gif' 'grin.gif'...

I am on my 2nd 2003 Outlander LS with AWD. The first was wrecked and totaled, but I love the car so much I got another. Both cars had the same problem that I have just accepted as normal. After the engine heats up, the air blowing from the air vents is very warm, as if I had the heat on. This is an issue when dirving on a nice day when I want to have the windows down and the AC off. when the xcar...

Hi there! I'm a new Airtrek Turbo owner - I'm enjoying the car although I am rather surprised at the high fuel consumption.
I would like to know whether any of you out there can recommend a workshop I can go to (in KL or Singapore) to boost up the power of the engine? I was told that it just requires a new "chip" in the engine management system?
Thanks!

Has anyone thought about or installed this cold air intake from K&N?
I haven't looked into the measurements yet, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this.
I was thinking about trying either something like this or the short ram intake from RoadRace Motorsports.
Thanks....

Is there a tab or another screw I didn't see? All...

Hello to all, and thanks for looking.
My question(s) are as follows. I have done pretty much about 12 hours of research on this, on the interenet. I have found RPW's website, and it is impressive for support for the Mistubishi Outlander. Well, I have a Ram Air intake on the way for my vehicle, but now that my car is going to be breathing better (inhaling) I want to improve the...

Hi all,
I was driving my 04 Outlander in Sportronic shift mode and, while accelerating, clicked it down into 2nd from 3rd instead of going into 4th. (My other vehicle is a stick, so I'm used to 4th being "down.")
Anyway, as expected, the revs shot way up as the engine tried to match the wheel speed. I don't think it hit the red line, and it was only for a...

Has anyone found a good aftermarket polyurethane swaybar saddle bushing to fit our Outlanders(2003-2006)Front and rear. If so could you give me part #'s and brand. I think I found some for rear made by Prothane (311-19-1115) 16mm it is being verified by dealer to see if they will fit. But my real problem is the front ones where I beleive they are 26 mm but I can only find 25 and 27 mm...
