hey im thinking about buying a 97-99 mirage and i cant seem to find any with a 1.8l 5 speed. i am aware that they are very rare cars to find. so i have found many 1.5l and i was wonder what engines will fit in the mirage because its almost impossible to find parts for a 1.5l. so i was just wonder if i get a 1.5l mirage what engines would i be able to put in it. thanks to anyone who helps.

What I am wondering... is there anything that i can do to make this car better while i have the engine out? cuz its got no balls... i realize its a 1.5 but its great on gas mileage and really hasnt let me...

It looks like there is water drip on the passenger side of my car when the AC's on. I did some researching on this and i am almost certain now that its my drain pipe which is clogged. But i'm not sure where to find the drain pipe clog (i know that it shud exit on the passenger side, but some specifics would greatly help !!! )

We have noticed that...when starting first thing in the mornings the car would have no guts at all and would chug along until it warmed up. This is not to say we start cold and race off..but as you normally would.

hey im new to this site but i am looking into making a quick sleeper by swapping either an evo engine or a vr4 engine. i was hoping that you could help me on what would be the best engine, fastest, easiest swap or most reliable engine to put in. looking into new gearboxes what would be the best aswell. also suggestions on swapping out and strengthen what i can to control the new power.

My sister has a 1997 Mirage and now her cigarette lighter has stopped working....my dad looked in the two fuse boxes but couldn't find anything with a cigarette lighter label on it....does anyone know which fuse (or if there is another fuse box somewhere) to change in order to fix this???? Hey guys,I am new here. I have a buddy that wants me to do the Timing belt on his Wifes 01 Mirage. Are there any good articles out there on this? I have done timing belts on alot of SOHC and DOHC Honda Civics but not familer with Mitsubishi.

I read somewhere that you had to have a special tool to re-time the engine..someone else said you didn't. I would think the timing marks...

My son's new car, donated by his aunt (after 5 years of sitting around) is running, but only after a new fuel pump and flushing the lines.

It idles very sporadically and rough, has very slow throttle response and will only hit 4,000rpm.......not a smidge more. It acts like it has a rev limiter on it at 4,000.... Hints anybody

I recently purchased a new stereo for my 1997 Mirage DE Coupe. When I removed the casing around the old stereo, I noticed that the wire coming from the cigarette ligther was not attached to anything.

I really need to have that cigarette lighter working so I can charge my mp3 player and phone when I'm not home.

I mean is the engine will bolt on the gear box directly, are the engine mounts the same, are there enough place in for the engine and will the gearbox resist to the increase of power and torque?

i have a 98 mitsubishi mirage with the 1.5l 4 cyl engine. for the longest time i have looked for a header and exhaust for this engine. the problem i continuously encounter is that i can only find the setup for the 1.8l engine.

Why I am asking, because I fixed the switch of the fog light, but when I turn the switch ON nothing happen...

All the wires are standard from the manufacturer and nothing added, and the fog light fuse 15A is fine under the bonnet fuse box...
