I just got a intank Walbro Fuel Pump installed. Mine being a 1999 4G15 DOHC Mirage this upgrade has made a lot of difference. However I hear this whinning of the Pump all the time. Does anyone know if this is Normal?? Also I have changed my Stock fuel pressure regulator to an After Market Regulator and have set a Fuel pressure of 40PSI.

In need of some ideas. I bought a 1994 Tecnica with 75,000 miles and high pithing ticking noise which I thought was the need for valve adjustment. The valve adjustment was performed to .004 intake and .008 exaust with a cold motor, the noise got a little lower but is still tiking more than normal. What ya all think it might be?

Well I have a 89 dodge colt. I Usually get 39-43 mpg on the highway. But this last week i got a tune up and I also replaced my thermostat and my timing belt. But all of a sudden my car is having a hard time getting anything above 28-30 mpg on highway. I haven't noticed any significant change in city driving. Wold anyone kow why this is????????

I'm now faced with an electrical problem of some sort. Here's the deal:

When my car gets about 95% warmed up, the fuel injectors start shutting off and turning back on, making for a very jerky ride. Once the car is 100% warmed up, the problem vanishes (~2 minues on the road, ~10 at idle). This problem only occurs when the car has had a chance to get totally cold.

When it's wet or raining outside, my Colt 89 will make a clicking sound and will stop the engine. I thought, it's the relay, it's not. Even with the relay shorted, or when I changed the relay, the same problem in wet weather.

Now, if I change the spark plugs, rotor and distributor cap (a basic tuneup), it will work again... until it hits wet weather again. If I keep driving...
