I've got a Tarmac Black ES, and was thinking about putting the black vinyl trim on the front, has anyone done it? Pics? I know its black too, but its flat black. Thanks!

I was installing my HID kit today and had a b#$ch of a time fitting the
xenon 9006 bulbs into my headlamp housing. Both bulbs aren't even pointing straight and it seems like one of the tabs won't go in.

Is it normal to have one out of the three tabs out after you rotate them in? and has anybody else experienced this problem?

i think im going to get the gts with the sun,sound and leather pk cvt

i dont know the color yet, white looks really sharp but my mom said it will show rust very easily and dirt.
black also looks sweet but seems like a lot of people get black cars around here.
red and the dark grey i like too.
any opinions?

i have the tarmac black lancer gts, and im looking to do the carbon fiber fuel door thing. im not buying one im going to cover mine, i was just wondering if anybody has put it on a black car, or your opinion if it will look bad or not. thanks guys

for those who dont already know, u can buy a product called Goo Gone at kragen for around $2.70 after taxes.

when i removed the Lancer badge it took me around 30+ minutes to completely remove the glue with pure elbow grease. but i used Goo Gone for the Mitsubishi badge and it only took me about 10 mins.

Well, I found a new area on my car where the paint is kinda like rubbed off. Where the trunk closes, it looks like the bottom of the trunk lid is rubbing on top of the bumper. You open the trunk & it looks like a white line. Maybe a couple of inches long towards the left center.
Just another crappy think about the paint/fit n finish on our cars.

the DRL's annoy the hell outa me. i want them gone. ive checked this forum and one post turns into 20 sub-posts about other random things. can someone please just simply explain how to remove the DRL's?

I currently have the regular stereo with out the nav or the touch screen would it be easy to or possible to install the touch screen nav and audio system? where could i buy it besides the dealer ship?

5000K is diamond white to my understanding and 6000K is also white, but with a slint of blue. My car is Electric Blue Pearl and I'm trying to decide which color to go with. I prefer the 5000K because they are less blue in color, but I want something that will go well with my car.

Hey, just wondering if it is possible to change the bulb in the side marker. The car manual says that you cannot change it but I think there should be a way. Does anyone suggest baking it? I believe it is glued on pretty well but i have never done something like this before so i'm iffy.

Has anyone tinted their lancer themselves? I have done a LeBaron before but those windows had no rims to them. No where around here will do it at 5%. The least they'll do is 35% and won't let me sign a waver. When I had my vr4 done they let me sign one for the 5% so I was thinking about doing it myself.

When you HID's flicker, is that bad for the bulb or what??

i installed my HIDs and the DRLs make it flicker and turn off. i kinda like it cause i dont have the DRL's anymore, but is it bad for the bulb and ballast or can i leave it?

Hey guys did a search and didn't see any previous posts on this. From the day i got this car I've noticed how bad the orange peel effect is on the black paint. Decided to take it to our longtime bodyshop to get it wetsanded (or colorsanded). Was kinda curious if any of you have tried this process yet and if so how the results turned out.

Im just wondering what would the price be to paint my 09 lancer whole body kit, spoiler AND hood?? Im getting my car in electric blue. I dunno if that makes any difference but how much do you think all these parts will cost to get painted???

I don't like how our cars have the dull black overlays on the B pillars. Since I have the Rally Red... I was thinking about going to one of the local print shops & seeing what they have to color key the B pillars to my color. If they can't color match....then maybe a gloss black?

Has anyone had any issues with a tapping noise at the base of the windshield where the cowl panel meets the glass? hey guyz i bought a lancer 08 front bumper black vinyl to make it more like the evo x but it didnt fit proberly like you can still see a blue border. i bought the thing from the dealer too so it should have been perfect. to fix the problem i went to autobarn and got pin striping tape 'black' and it worked well. just wondering if happend to anyone else?????
