I searched but i couldn't find anything, is there a way to install a dome light on cars with sunroofs?

If anybody is looking for 08 09 Lancer and 09 Lancer Evolution Black Tail lights you can check em out on Ebay store Cherry Hill Triplex Parts. They have them cheap and they are OEM not the cheap crap. I got mine for $350.00 they list for $450.00. I could of got them cheaper but I'm impatient and used buy it now.

hey i was wonder what you all used to cover up your front license plate holes

Where is the best place to buy the vinyl for the front bumper. Any websites sell high quality vinyl that is precut for the lancer. Have heard the stuff on ebay is overpriced and not the best quality. BTW I looked all over this forum for links of websites to purchase from but couldn't find even one except for ebay which I say a lot of bad reviews.

I'm pretty sure this has been posted before and I've looked for it but couldn't find anything. So I was wondering where I could find a shift knob for my 08 GTS Manual? I've also checked out a couple websites but was wanting some suggestions from you guys. What ever help you give me will be appreciated.

is it more expensive to get the hid kit or to buy the gts hid housing ???? how much did most of you pay total for the hid's???? thanks and sorry for another hid question. i've been reading for about 3-4 hours on this forum so far and have read many hid threads and know most are not too happy with these threads...once again..sorry.

I'm thinking of getting the GTS trim and I most certainly would like to have a sunroof.
What I definitely don't want are leather seats (...there, I said it haha).
I don't need a premium sound system and don't really care for FAST-key.

Now, since sunroof is currently only available as part of the package ($2.7K CAD!!!),
I wonder if it's possible to get it separately? I'm guessing it would cost around 1K.

If not, how do aftermarket sunroof installations work? Are they equally good? How do they affect warranty?
Would that be more expensive than getting it done at the $tealership? (or factory, I suppose)

I'd like to paint my brake callipers red but don't know how and what paint to use. Can some 1 pls xplain. Do I have to remove them or not, not much for a mechanic, thx.

so i ordered the OEM GTS kit for my girls lancer ES since im a good guy lol. front bumper rear sideskirts in all.. so heres my question how many of you here have taken off your bumper before weither it be for installation of the CAI or anything? or how hard do you think it would be to do something like this? could i do it myself or should i take it to a shop to put it on there?

ok, tried to fix, with wet sanding and all, mad a mess, but the pain dries darker then the orig paint, wtf?
long story short.
had rock chips.
sanded one out nicely, one just below it wasnt as good retried, sanded but apparently i was sanding behind , got to primer.
lost paint pen, got another, apparently wrong color.
resanded to primer, now about half your pinky nail
reaplied correct color, darker, bumby, unable to sand off.
very dark.

are these steps right besides the sanding?
1. clean
2. use paint end of paint pen with toothpic or small paint brush
3. wait till dry a few days is best, few hrs min.
4. scratch x or sim for sanding marks
5. Paint dull and very dark.--- now what?

graphite grey.

saying f it and getting a body shop to fix it all. almost 400 later but at least it will be fixed. and they said they are going to give me a bottle with some base paint color in it, but again wouldnt this be dark after its set and dries?

Anyone have any ideas how I could install my VG shark fin overtop of the huge antenna base we get here in Canada? I know in previous threads people were talking about adding a second 3m gasket but I have a feeling that would make it sit too far off the roof of the car and look like crap. J/W if it would be possible at all to swap the antenna base for a different/smaller one??? if so how hard would it be?

Wassup everyone. I dont usally post much here. Im more of a listener but i have a question that may seem stupid but whatever. I have a 2009 Lancer GTS. I know that it comes with HID's but its very low which is understandable. Now, if i decide to upgrade to brighter bulbs, do i still need the whole kit or can i just buy the bulbs since HID's are already installed?

Some of you probably already know this but I figured I'd make a post to make sure everyone does. After talking with Arthur from Visual Garage (www.VisualGarage.com) I brought up how the shark fin might fit on a GTS even though his website says it does not. He responded with the following in an email to me.

"Hi Sean,

We had some Lancer's in recently and we refitted both the standard OEM and the satellite antenna bases. I can confirm that we can now fit not only the OEM but also the Sirus-integrated Lancers. However, the standard base has a sweet spot that the users need to find in order to install properly, as well as rotate the swivel to point to the front so that it isn't in the way.

Looks like you won't have a problem with fitment, whichever version you have.

Hey I saw these in the forum http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=368836. I think they look sick and was wondering if anyone has put them on their car yet. Not a fan of tinted tail lights but i liked the black inside the casing.

If anyone got them and put them on, can you post pictures up. I want to see how they look on our cars cuz i'm thinking about getting them. Even though this picture is pretty much the same car, i have trouble imagining it.

I know that RRM has a CF Bumper Cover which they are currently sold out of. I also know that an alternative of this would be painting the front bumper or using vinyl. Does anyone have one of these and if so I was hoping to see what it looks like from a distance of like 30 feet. All the pictures I could find is of it are up close.

Has anyone come across the "The spirit of competition" logo? I can find plenty of stickers, but am trying to find the logo so that I can do a vinyl cut in the size and color that I want. I'm wanting to buy a fiberglass evo x style hood and spoiler, but I also want them color matched (I'm not real big on the carbon fiber look). I would honestly like to do this myself if at all possible, but I want it done right over all else. I've researched doing this and it seems that matching the color depends on many things such as temperature, humidity, etc. none of which I have the ability to control. So does anybody know of a way that I can do this myself or can tell me what a decent price would be to get this done professionally. Thanks.

Hey, I have been looking at hoods for some time now, and I Have basically decided to go with Carbon fiber. I really like the looks of the RRM carbon fiber evo X hood, but I was just wondering if anyone had any type of experiences (good or bad) with RRM carbon fiber products in the past.
Also, I was wondering how long I could expect carbon fiber to last before it "yellows" and if I could apply the 3M clear bra to it?

OK, I just finished installing the Mitsubishi lower grille garnish on my ES. I think it looks great. It's just too bad this $5.00 piece of plastic sells for $150.00 at Mitsubishi.

Alright, so I had been debating about getting a few parts done in Hydro Graphics (you can check out the thread here.). I decided to have a few parts done and I'll tell you how they came out...

They look awesome! I had the engine cover, spark plug cover, radiator cover, and front and back diamond emblems done. This doesn't look anything like the fake vynal stuff or even the fake CF on the dash of the GTS's. This looks REAL! I fooled two of my friends, and both have CF parts on their own cars! It is much cheaper than real CF, and you can have practally any part done. For those of you who say "I get CF to lighten my car!", that 15 oz your saving by getting a CF engine cover won't make a lick of difference on our cars. With the product, I am VERY satisified.

As for service, Frank, from customhydrographics.com was very nice and answered any question I had. He told me about 3 weeks turnaround, and he had it in less. He even came to pick up the parts from me, and came to my work to drop them off even though I live and work on the entire other side of Dallas. Granted most of you arn't local, but I'm sure he will help you any way he can.

All in all, I give customhydrographics.com two thumbs up. For me, its not a question if I will use their service again, its a question of what I will have done next!

You don't have to have that chrome trim that is on the front of the lancer do you? What would it look like if you just removed the chrome trim? If possible I would rather remove it then paint it.

I have a 2008 lancer gts automatic. i recently bought a new shift knob for it (just the knob its self, not entire shifter). does anyone know how to release and remove the shift knob itself?

So last Friday I got into an accident because of this girl who suddenly made a stop to take a left turn and I ended up hitting her. The good this was that she actually admitted that it was her fault, but nonetheless, my insurance will still go up.

Anyway this means I get a new body kit, I was talking to the auto body shop guy and he said he can put any kind of parts that I want as long as they're the same price or less as the original parts. I'm thinking about getting the Evo X body kit.

Any suggestions as to from where or which one?

Couldn't find any threads addressing it. Would this work on a 09 GTS you think?

It says "cover" so then would you leave your bumper on and put that on over it? seems like for $200 they would give you an actual bumper and not just a cover?
