question??? with the raising gas prices I've been thinking about using the E85 gas instead of unleaded (about a $1.25 per gallon difference were i live) does the 08 lancer work with that gas? i know it burns hotter and if your engine isn't rated for that kind of fuel it will kill the life of your engine. anyone know the answer to that???

Just changed my air filter, purchased from dealer. When i step on it harder, i'm getting deep humming sound. It wasn't like that before, is that normal ?

There are like 40 of them floating around ebay.. Just picked one up..

I know it is a well-built product, but with the WORKS Exhaust just being a muffler-delete, I can have my buddies down at my local muffler shop weld me up a pipe and stick a tip on there for about $50. Any input?

After reading on 4b11lancers.com about the RRM pulley causing an oil leak I was wondering if there are any other companies out there that have made a pulley for the 08 Lancer.

Basically what was said is that because the RRM pulley has an aluminum sleeve the seal put a grove into the sleeve of the pulley eventually getting deep enough that oil was able to leak out.

Has anyone produced a pulley with a metal sleeve? Metal should prevent the seal from making a grove.

So i got my 2009 lancer gts yesterday and i was curious if any of the performance parts designed for the 2008 will work with the 2009. I am a little unsure due to the engine being a 2.4l instead of a 2.0l. So if anyone knows of any website that offer parts for the 2009 already or know if parts like the Greddy Ti-c exhaust will fit on fine, any input would be great.

i have the road race short ram intake and had it about 2 months maybe 3 months now... do we need to get a "recharging kit" for it or replace the filter or none of the above? and if so when should i expect to do all this

my friend told me disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes and reconnect it resets the ecu, then go out and drive how u want it to perform, is this true or is he ***** with me?

i know there is the greddy ti-c...which sounds pretty sick but i really dont have $350+ to spend on exhaust rite now
i HAD a RRM magnaflow exhaust and wasnt happy at all...it was weak..and rusted within a week of buyin it..
and WORKS exhaust...well..idk if you can even call that an exhaust..its a pipe with a tip on it?? wtf pretty much just like an exhaust delete nd runnin your car w/just the resonator as your "muffler"

andd then comes the...buy a muffler and weld...which would be cheap but is a pain...

so im not sure but are there rumors of mayb an injen exhaust? or hks? or anyone??
all i want is a freakin pipe w/a well built muffler on the end..lol

ive been looking around online and found a MAF sensor mount from SPECTRE. you think it'd be safe to go with that? i dont know of anyone who has tried this and i dont really wana be the guinea pig lol. whats everyones opinion? i have a link if u guys want that

I just got my new 2008 lancer GTS with the CVT transmission. I'm going to get WORKS Exhale AB (Axle Back) Exhaust $369 and Fujita Short Ram Intake $185. Which should i get first. I wish both was an option but i don't have that kind of money to burn right now.

So i take my 2008 Lancer into the exhaust shop today asking if i could get a few things done...

things i wanted done

Cold Air Intake
Extractors
High flow cat
and Sports exhaust

He said that you cannot do any of the above to the car naturally i told him to get f@#^%*&...

my point is was i right to tell him that or are these mods really not available on my baby????

I just got the INJEN cold air intake and befor I put it on. I just like to know is it easy to put it on or is there a site where there a step by step on how to put it on. Because my old car was alot easy to put on a intake. I just don't want to do any thing to my car if I put in on wrong. Thanks to who ever help.

so ive been considering ordering one of these next week for my 2003 lancer oz(automatic) and the only problem i have is im worried about the install. i mean is there alot of cutting of wires, etc. how easy is this install. im just afraid with all my **** luck that ill mess something up. or does the unit kinda just bolt on. does it come with a detailed install guide of some sort. and also does anyone have one of these? how did your install go? and hows the performance gain?

is there any supercharger that will work for the 08 lancer.

Just curious if anyone has the RRM Header and what kind of gains were noticed after installing it.

I am planning on buying one as soon as I can scrape together enough money to get it.

just ordered my Works AB exhaust and drop in filter today...dealt with Bill - the guy here on the forums...he made the transaction effortless....thats the best way to spend money...not having to worry about it...

hopefully it will ship out today...i will post pics when i get it and install it....

the only reason they know is cause im the dumb **** that bought it and had the first issue with fitment.so after hours of crap on the phone injen told me if they had a fed car from airizona or navada they wolud make a fed head back so if anyone is interested in helping the rest of us plzzzz and i mean please pm me or email me tthanks guys

Anyone know any more info on this? Pricing and availability? Personally I think I'm going to pass on all these axle back exhausts and go straight for this cat-back one. Should be good competition for the Injen catback I think.

Saw someone's you tube video a while back, of their GTS and noticed they had a shark fin antenna.
After looking around for a while I couldn't t seem to find where to buy one.
My car came with the sirius sat. radio and I figured I'm going to need one compatable with it, heard they can be pricey (around $200)but anyone have any info on how I could get my hands on one and maybe a price range?

Also a while back there was some stuff going around with peoples tint's, was wondering if anyone has recently come about any problems, I think it was about the window seals were too rough and they were scratching peoples tints, not sure if this was all BS..but I do plan on getting a tint done this weekend.

Well I called up their customer service center & asked them if they had anything for our car besides the oil filter. Immediately she said no. I asked if they have anything in the works for it & again she said no.
I then pointed out that on another forum, there was a member who loaned them his car for testing & that there is a working unit on his car. It was like I used a key to open the lock. She opened up & said well, yeah she was aware of them making something & that she couldn't really say anything. Understandable. I asked if there was still maybe a 3-4 month wait & then she clammed up. I would guess that this would be a reasonable time frame I said. She kinda gave me a yes...but she couldn't officially say so. She said that they are still fine tuning it & that I would be put on their e-mail list & will be notified as soon as something is available.
I know until they are done with any & all testing & fitment re-checks, that they can't officially say anything, but just knowing it will be out sooner rather than later is good enough for me.
Hopefully sooner.
If I hear anything I will post here.

So here's the deal. I ordered an Injen CAI for my GTS and I am considering a Greddy Ti-C Exhaust system as well.

Only problem is, I am not 18 anymore and don't want my Lancer sounding like a friggen loud racecar w/ the exhaust, lol. Apparently, the Greddy exhaust comes with a silencer, question is does it work? and does the exhaust output more HP and torque like the CAI?

Hello, I have been reading that the Manual 08 Lancer GTS has a 0-60 time of about 7.7 sec where as the cvt modle has a 0-60 time of about 9 sec. My question here is what is the 0-60 time of the cvt modle when it is in manual mode using the paddle shifters. Thanks in advance.
