I think the only con about the 2007 Lancer Ralliart are the 4 stud wheels.

Does anyone have any 4 stud wheels they could recommend?

hi everyone, i owned 2 mitsubishi lancer,lancer GTS 09 & lancer 93 model.
The problem is with my Old lancer 93 model,recently i noticed a lot of white smoke puffing out from the rear exhaust,initially i tought these is normal during early morning hours where the engine is cold,however the smoke dint went away even the car is moving and during in the afternoon where the engine are still warm.
I dint bring it to any workshop yet but i talk with quite a few friends who told me these could be my lancer head gasket, crack could be there so water enter into the engine and mixed with oil and burn which result white smoke.
I guess is going to cost a lot to topoverhaul it,so do u guys think the problem could be the blown head gasket ?

i just got some new headlights and ive been trying to take them out but they keep gettin caught on something, im not sure what the problem is....help!

Where could I possibly get a Cold Air Intake system for a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer ES, Automatic transmission?

Is there anything different about the system that is meant for automatics than for manual trannies? Perhaps engine placement?

My breaks are grinding and I need to get them replaced, I am kind of stupid when it comes to all this and I am trying to find out if my 06 Lancer ES has disc brakes in the back and if I need to get pads for the rear brakes as well.

Hey i'm new to these forums and I got the this car bout 6 months ago and want to start putting some mods on it. I have been finding it incredibly hard to find body kits for this model, if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

I've been looking fo someone who manufactures exterior accents in REAL carbon fiber. There's a kind that is flexible and can be applied with 3M auto-tape. I bought pillar accents for my car's doors, and the provider (ExoticWoodTrim) doesn't manufacture or fabricate pieces I'm looking to get a top panel for my spoiler's deck, fender accents, and gas door panel.
Does anybody know of anyone who can create these things?

Ok i know it would be a cheap way to go but I was wondering what you guys might think about getting one of those cheap intakes off of ebay just for the adapter and then getting a K&N or Some other good filter attached to it. Would it really make that much difference to go all the way and spend close to $200 for a complete name brand system or would this do good to get a few extra horses???

hey everyone, i'm supposed to be getting a 2006 lancer oz rally edition (tomorrow), and of course i wait until the last minute to post my questions. unfortunately the car is automatic but it only has 5k miles on it, so i figured it was whatever. so i have a few questions that i still cannot get a straight answer for

is there a way i can replace the transmission in the future to make it a manual transmission? is it even worth it to do that?
turbo kit on an automatic? yes/no?
intake? i can't seem to find one for a 2006 auto oz. i went to a place by my house and they told me i absolutely could not get anything for the oz unless it was custom (intake, exhaust, turbo kit, basically anything that has to deal with performance) but that really does not sound right to me...

& my last question that really has nothing to do with my other questions is,
is it worth it to get this car over a 2006 nissan sentra se-r spec v with under 20k miles or a 2006 scion tC with under 35k miles?

I am trying to change transmission fluid on my 03 OZ Lancer Automatic. Does anyone know what bolt I need to take off to drain the fluid and is there a filter that goes with the transmission fluid change or is this filter less process.. any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just changed the slave cylinder and clutch disc after the clutch failed.

(Firstly, apologies if this question is ignorant or dumb!)

I have a Lancer GLXi 1999 model. The other day, after work, I started the car and it ran perfectly...except that the instrument panel (speedo, odometer, fuel gauge, everything!) was completely dead. After about 20 minutes of driving, the instrument panel started working again.

Since then, and over the course of about two weeks, this problem has occured 4 more times.

- So far, this problem has only occured after the car has been sitting in the carpark near work for 8 or 9 hours.
- Never occurs first thing in the morning.
- On one occasion, the instruments started working after 20 minutes of driving.
- On another occasion, the instruments started working after 35-40 minutes of driving.
- On a third occasion, no improvement after half an hour of driving, but after stopping the car, and leaving it parked for an hour, the instrument panel worked correctly the next time I started it.
- On other occasions, no improvement after 30 minutes of driving, but working correctly the next morning.

Is this just a symptom that the battery is on it's last legs, or is it something more sinister than that??

most importantly though...i want to install a cold air intake on my lancer...
looking around on ebay and on the web, i cannot find the right intake for my car. it says 2003-2005 2.4L or SOHC mivec or soemthing thats not what my car is.

i live in australia and the model might be different from others but these is what i kno about my car.

its a 2006 2.4L mivec lancer es. 5 speed manual........ thats all i know... LOL

ok here it is.. i got a 2003 lancer oz rally in the end of 2003 with 18k miles on it and power all and the whole works...i only paid 6500bucks for it thats a steal for it being that new..so i took it...i knew it would be a fun car to mod up and looks nice,i really couldnt pass up the deal. After a few years now i have a bodykit,18's,hids,intake,full headers back exhaust,slotted rotors,its a automatic,it now has about 70k miles on it all hwy,i got tint and evo spoiler and evotaillights,now i know its not meant for power and i should sell it and get rid of it if iwant power but with my money situation i cant think of getting a new car, so i want to get some more power for it by getting a turbo on it and i have studied and found that i can get a whole kit from spooledmotorsports.com for about 1500bucks and its capable of 250hp ...now the lancer comes stock about 130 and i got intake and full exhaust im getting pulleys and cams,and possible pistons... is the car going to be worth getting the turbo on it? im hoping to be around 250hp when done with all engine mods... i just need some outside help and suggestions... its going to be about 2 more years before i think of buying a new car so...for now this is what ihave in mind...please help me here....i have a guy that has been installing turbos for about 7 years now and he said my car will be quick and with a lower end setup i should be fine...

I read yes and I have read no. People who have modded their lancer..is it worth the money or should I get a different car?

Hey there, I'm new...I own a 06 ralliart, but I have a question that I was wondering if anyone could help me with. I live in northern Ontario and a couple of days ago I washed my car as usual. When I got back in to drive away, I noticed a crack in the windshield going from the bottom of each A pillar right across the windshield about 1/4 - 1/3 of the way up. Until this happened my glass was perfect. No chips or blemishes anywhere. It seems to me that this could be a bad thing and definetely not normal. do you think that this would be a warranty item?

This might be a little stretched out but bear with me. I'm considering buying a project Lancer and upgrading it. My budget is about 14k.

I'm looking into buying a 02-03 Lancer for about 4k (I have a friend who is a dealer) which should leave me with about 10k for parts and labor. I've read the upgrade thread on this forum, and gotten ideas from other people and shops. I know first things first, I should get a turbocharger. I was considering the kit from roadracemotorsports. Then the exhaust (magnaflow) and intake which should take me to about 5k not counting the labor to get all that stuff professionally put in. Which I assume would be about 1500-1800. Then I'm sort off at a loss as of what to do to get the maximum bang for my buck so to speak.

Also, I've seen it mentioned here that a Lancer will never truly be fast, is that true? with a turbo and exhaust what kind of HP are we talking about here? What's the max you guys think I can get on my budget? Is it even really worth trying to convert a Lancer to a performance car? What about engine wear, obviously an 02-03 Lancer will have some miles on it, would it even be safe putting a turbo kit on it? or am I going to have something breaking down every week, since (as I've read from reviews) Lancers aren't all too reliable to begin with.

Sorry if some of the questions are dumb, or been asked before. I just wanted to get some experienced opinions from outside sources since most tuning shop people i've spoke to in my area start salivating and doing their best to hide erections when I tell them about all the work I want done.

Hello. I am a newbie, and I need some help with a broken Tie Rod. How do I remove the Tie Rod from a 2005 Lancer? I dont know all the technical terms so please be patient. I got the tie rod end of at the wheel side, but can't figure out how to remove the rest of the tie rod. ANY help is greatly appreciated....

I have a 2004 Lancer ES, all stock. The vent selector knob busted off. Anyone know a way to replace the knob without tearing off the entire dash?

I got a cat-back which eliminated the resonator off ebay (yeah I know ebay has bad parts, but hey, I didn't want to spend 400 bucks on a catback). As a result it sounds pretty nice on the outside, but there's a lot of noise and vibration on the inside around 3500 rpm when the tranmission is in gear which rattles all the plastic panels and makes me feel like my ears are under water after 15 minutes of driving. Sorry to waste space on the board for such a stupid question, but any comments or suggestions would be nice. Thanks.

Hello, does any1 know how to adjust the idle speed on the 2003 Lancer on the 2ltr motor i think its the 4G94, or is the idle speed not adjustable and only controlled by the ECU? if it cant be adjusted via a screw is there an aftermarket ECU or some thing that can increase the idle speed?

Does anyone have this alarm/remote start on their Lancer? I was wondering, because I had it installed on mine, and like it for the most part... but can not get the "warn-away" feature to work. If someone lightly bumps the car, it's "suppose" to give a warn-away beep, the lights will flash and then I should receive a page notifying me of the minor impact. I had Best Buy turn up the sensitivity turned up a little bit('bout little more then Moderate sensitivity.. or so i was told). But still, when i knock on any part of the car, Nothing. However, what is kind of funny, is that when i kick my bumper, either front or back... the alarm goes into full swing. Haha.. so basically, i'm safe if someone wants to steal either, the car, or my bumper. LMAO
So.. if you have this unit and this "warn-away" feature is working out for you, tell me about it(purty pweease). Also, there is also a glass sensor, and proximity sensor you can add to the system. I was thinking of getting that if I can't figure out this warn away deal. Wouldn't want anyone to steal my future audio system.

Hi everyone, I'm a first time poster here, and I'm looking for some help. Has anyone here removed the whole dashboard on their lancer? If so, can you elaborate on the biggest hurdles you came across?

I have a 2005 lancer es and I've removed the side panels, the radio and ac control center, and a bunch of screws and grade 4 bolts, and I don't know what to do next. The bottom half of the dash is completely ready to come out, but the top of the dash is still stuck in place. I'm guessing I have to disconnect the airbag or something but I can't really see up there very well and I can't figure out what to do next.

Do you have any advice?
