Hi Everyone,

Quick question.

My Lancer is a 2006 OZ Racing Rally Edition. The Sun (moon??) roof works, but I feel that it is not opening quite as far as I would expect. My expectations are based on what my Wifes 2006 Saturn ION and a friends Suburu WRX Sunroof open up to however.

Please take a look at the pic i have on photobucket and let me know if that is as far as my sunroof should open, or if it should pop up another inch or two.

this is my first post.. i'll get around to pics of my car and a proper introduction asap but for the moment, time is of the essence, and i need to get parts ordered tonight. i'm not new to mitsubishi's.. i owned a 96 eclipse gsx.. before that i owned a couple nissan maxima's, a 240sx, an integra, and finally my mr2 which i just sold. I recently purchased an 04 lancer es. black. low miles. to be my daily driver. However i found a good deal on a little honda, so instead the lancer has become my new project car.

i have a few mods that i know for sure will be going on..
black housed double halo projection headlights with 8000k hid ice blue bulbs
tein s-tech springs.. a little cutting and it should level out to about 2 inches all around..
17 inch tenzo wheels black with a chrome lip rapped in toyo's..
the bronze pin stripe on the car will be replaced with a silver one.
tinted windows
the clear part of my tail lights smoked
injen cold air intake
custom exhaust.

those are usually the basics for me.. then i'll begin to build from there. I really would like a carbon fiber hood.. but the only hood im interested in is the double vented hood from the evo 9. IMO they're pure sex. However, the research i've done still leaves me with an inconclusive answer as to whether its a direct swap or requires, slight, or heavy modification to fit. Im just wondering if anyone knows the answer, or an alternate route. My attempts to find another hood similar to have it have been to no avail. Any help at this point would be appreciated as my order will go in tomorrow..

I have an '03 Lancer OZ & I was wondering if an Evo Aftermarket Front Lip would fit my car... & if so, how much Professional installations are for that kinda stuff. I also want to get an E.D. Evo 8 Wing as well as an E.D. Carbon Creations OEM Trunk. Never done this kinda stuff before so any insight would be greatly appreciated.

So i just recently bought an 2003 Lancer OZ and just a few days a go i went to turn the AC over to the heat and the knob popped off. Now it wasnt just a pop off who ever owned the car previous decided to torque the knob until it snapped then proceeded to use what i think were pliers to turn the post which the knob fit on. So here's my question in order to fix the knob would i have to just take off the dash and then then disconnect the AC and replace the knob and post or have to replace the whole unit?

03 lancer

I have an issue with the dome light, when I put it on door mode, it won't dim all the way off. It will dim, and stick at about 40-50% of brightness.

Ok so i have a problem wiith my 03 lancer, not even sure if this is the right forum to post in but here we go. My AC knob that turns from hot to cold will only turn like half way to heat and half way to cold. I'm not sure what to do about this problem? i know theres a cord but i'm know trying to mess anything up by taking it apart without some sorta guide. Also not trying to goto a shop b/c that will be cost for something i could prolly do myself will a little bit of instruction from someone with an experience or thought behind this. I am clueless on this problem. I am also cold driving around lol. any help?? Thanks -Chris

hi guys, anybody have experienced you ralliart noisy everytime you reversing? i have 2007 Ralliart. When i go to service centre every 5000km they cleaned the break pad then its ok, but after few days its noisy again. The mechanic told me its normal for the ralliart. any solution? thanx

i have a stock 02 lancer es. my plan so far for the interior is to remove the carpet and put in spray in bedliner, and remove the backseat and install 2 bucket seats and a middle console in its place. has anyone seen this done before? anyone know how to start with installing bucket seats where a bench seat use to be? any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. this is the first foreign car that i have modded.

I was wondering if first, on the first page, she vht nightshaded the blinker, which I plan on doing, and the orange reflectors. I really like the idea of doing the reflectors, every time I see them they remind me of a bicycle. Anyone know if this is legal, and would it affect the reflecting ability of them? Hi, ive used the search function to no evail. Ive tried so hard to get to these lights but i just cant. Ive taken off the front panel and unscrewd all the bolts, but the unit still does not come out. it doesnt seem to fit. Do i need to remove the entire dash to get to these bulbs?

hey guys and girls. i was wondering if anyone knew if the evo 8 headlight bulb would work with an 03 es. i was looking at getting a pair of projector housing that are on the evo and was thinking about getting the stock hid bulbs to go along with it. i previously got a ticket for "blue headlights", which i will agree they were pretty blue, and got another pair of hids. but they do not have the "hid look" if you will. they are brighter than halogens, but not as bright as other hids. i know that the evo housing will fit, but will the evo BULB fit? like is the voltage the same, or would i have to change wiring and all that jazz.

Anybody know if the newer 07-08 Lancer steering wheels would fit an 06 Lancer ES? I love the look of the newer style steering wheels. Thanks!

I just installed a H.I.D. kit, and black headlights in my 02' lancer. And the H.I.D.'s are aimed down quit a bit. If anyone here knows how to adjust them plaese inform me.

And if there not adjustable. . . Dang, guess customizing is in order.

I just bought an 03 Oz (Black), but it has an EVO body kit on it that I'm not too happy with. I'm thinking of replacing the hood and fenders back to stock... let me know what you have for sale or trade.

i am going to purchase a 2003 lancer. my first questiion is which is better to get: an 03 lancer ES or an 03 lancer OZ rally. Next, I want do an evo 8/9 conversion on the front end of it. My uncle is a mechanic so he will be helping me. Could you guys point out problems or extra nessesary custom mods needed that i may have overlooked in my step by step "plan".

So I need to put new LANCER and Mitsubishi logo emblems on the trunk of my 2002 Lancer OZ.....Maaco likes to break things when they repaint.

I'm hoping someone out there with an original 02 (I think 03s have the same setup as well but could be wrong) would be willing to measure from the bottom lip of the trunk up to the base of the letters LANCER and then between L and A and N, etc....(one of them would be fine, assuming they're equally spaced). Also, from the bottom of the trunk to the bottom of the Mitsubishi logo.

If anyone does this for me, I'll be forever greatful! I drove around my part of town for an hour looking for a Lancer parked somewhere...yes, I was going to be ballsy and get out and measure it and hope nobody thought I was up to no good!

hi, im new to this site. i am soon getting my first car. I was wondering if it would be alot of trouble to transform the front end of a normal 2003 lancer into looking like an evo VIII or IX. i figure i could get away with maybe a new evo hood, evo head lights, and a body kit. Is it more trouble than i expect? if so i might be able to get away with a real evo but my insurance will be really expensive: 16 year old male, nice car. Also i may get a regular impreza and give it the looks of a WRX STI.

Hey everyone, I have a pretty simple question that probably is going to result in a complex answer. I figured I'd ask before I start doing things the old fashioned way (remove screws until I figure it out!)

Has anyone replaced the backlight on the dashboard in an 05 OZ Rally? Mine has red backlights, and since I want to try and keep all my interior lights the same, I was curious if its possible to replace those with a different color?

Is it simply LEDs I can cut off and solder, or is it something more complex? Anyone ever even tried?
