If you need help, have a question, or are looking for something specific, proper grammar and punctuation are essential. It's understandable that English is not the primary language for some of our users, but if you are able to use the internet in your country, then you are also able to use spell check, grammar, and punctuation to at least some extent.
Here are a few resources to help you better understand the English language, and how it works.
How to use punctuation correctly:
http://www.wikihow.com/Use-English-Punctuation-CorrectlyHow to Spell Commonly Misspelled Words:

How to Avoid Acting Like an Idiot on the Internet: (Note:Rule #5)
http://www.wikihow.com/Avoid-Acting-Like-a...on-the-InternetIf these helpful links simply aren't enough, there are numerous places on the internet to download a spell check program. That, or you could use Firefox as your internet browser while using our forums. Firefox will underline any word you may spell wrong, allowing you to simply right click your mouse to find the appropriate spelling.
Don't be lazy, proofread your post before submitting, and fix any errors you see.

This is for everyone who asks, "How can I make my Lancer faster, what can I do to increase performance?"
Attached is an article describing the upgrade path for the US Lancer 2.0L (ES or OZ), model years 2003-2006.
Enjoy.

I want to put a full exhaust system on my 02 lancer and i have been looking around and ive seen the usual exausts, magnaflow, greddy, DC sports, ect. but recently i found an exaust called a tsudo N1. the website looks pretty legit and the exaust is only 175.00$!!! i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing lol. well give me your opinions on it and if u guys think its allright, i''''m probably gonna go ahead and buy it. Also my lancer is my first car and im not too worried if the exhaust i buy isnt the highest quality one. Here is the website:

Hey, I got my Lancer about a month ago, and I'm DYING to start modifying it. After learning to drive on my dad's Ford Taurus (the one with the DOHC 24V V6 @ ~200HP) and getting the Lancer OZ (at a whopping ~120HP!!!) I want to try and increase my performance.
I already know that one of the first things I do is going to be a cat-back exhaust, and from what I've read here on the forums and elsewhere online, I know the stock exhaust pipping robs the engine of air.
I'm looking to switch to 2.25" piping, but the only cat-back exhaust system I can find that isn't **** expensive has a 3.5" tip on it, and I DON'T want a cannon coming out of the back of my car, because I'm looking to not sound like all the other a**holes on campus (I go to a community college) who modify their cars.
Any suggestions on how to get a good cat-back system without sounding like I have a 454cu under the hood?

I was looking around for an intake to do to my lancer. i use to have a honda i did mods to it so i know that k&n /injen are good brands to look at. But while i was looking around the market i found this other brand called "Kool-vue". Now they got something that no other company that ive seen has. They have a short ram intake for my car and a carbon fiber Velocity Stack. (that placstic piece that bolts just above the radiator). That is sold sepratly. Now i was just wondering do i purchase both the sri and velocity stack? Or is it just one or the other? PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS DELEMA.

I'm sorry i'm not going to much in detail, my computer cut off 3 times alright, so thats 3 times i've been trying to go into detail on what i used and did. Very frustrating this computer is!
Heres a lil something i cooked up since i dont have a lot of money to spend.
I spent 20 bucks on the parts plus an extra 25 on the intake itself.
2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES

Aluminum dryer lint hose, 3" to 4" (step up?) coupling and 2 ring clamps. zipped tied and locked in place. Used electrical to to seal it better cause i felt better doing that lol.

zip tied a rubber piece to the aluminum hose b/c the battery can touch it and spark. Yeah, I did it. lol

Took off fake plastic mesh and put some metal mesh in. Required taking off the whole bumper. Oh and you can barley see the air filter on the right air vent.

This is a shot i took underneath the car. sry about the duct tape, like i said, i feel more secure at the joints lol. You can barely see the bottom end of my bumper its facing. Its a little dirty from where i USED to go in the dirt with the car. (poor shocks now) and that's it! zip tie away. dont hit any puddles!

http://www.advancedjdmparts.com/product.ph...&cat=509&page=1this for real? i highly doubt it. just doing some research looking for an ok intake not too expensive and came across this. i asked them about it and they said it comes with everything needed to install: filter, tubing, etc. i've seen intakes at local auto parts stores (pepboys, auto zone, etc.) for $20, but 15.....? tell me what you guys think.

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone knows what the best performance Chip for a 2006 LAncer RAlliart would be? I did some research and the JET chip sounds alright, and the Road RAce Piggy back looks ok too, but seems like it wouldnt have large gains. I'm looking for a chip thatwill give me the best increase in performance.

Hey everyone,
I just got an Injen SRI and i wanted some input. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what i would benefit more from:
Install the heat with the intake?
Or
Install the intake and and leave in the air scoop above the radiator?
Thanks for your time.

Is there anyway to turbo an automatic 02 Lancer ES? I dont know alot about cars but i know a lil bit. I really want to turbocharge my lancer cause i not only do i love the sound of the BOV, but I also like to accelerate fast. I used to have a dodge srt-4 an loved the car completely but now i have an automatic lancer an dont really know if it is possible turbocharge an automatic. I did a little bit of research before i posted this an seen a couple turbocharged automatic hondas and toyotas but i also heard read that it is not a good idea. just wanted to see if anyone on here knew anyway i could do this

Hi all! My name's Bryan. i'm 21 and I'm from Panama, Panama (the country...not FL).
I'm a Mitsubishi fan.. I own a 05 Lancer GL (yes, they sell 1.3 Lancers here) and a 1989 Mitsubishi Starion.
Not here 2 talk abt the Starion... u'll do a post later on that...
Basiclly.... where the F do I start on the Lancer?
1. I know a 1.3 engine totally sucks if i'm thnking I'll ever hit low 14s just for a saying... I'm not a dreamer, all I'm trying 2 do is make a lil faster.
2. No, I'm not selling it... this is my daily drive.
3. No, I'm not into engines swap.
Started with the classic CAI. Here's a vid if u interested...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=722nKgunqdYI'll remove the cat this weekend, put the flywheel on diet, change the clutch (I'm not buying some overprice stuff @ ebay... i'm doing what we call here "semimetalico" which is somethng like "semimetallic" on english) and work the throttle (i haven't checked it so far... but i know somethng can b done there).
I tried to advance the timing 2 degrees but the computer's smart enough 2 know u're tricking it so all it'll do is delay the spark. So... same thng.
I'm also looking for some nice 14" wheels (not a bling bling fan) and chopping the coils. Y chopping them... cuz there r no grounding kits for my car. And if I buy the 2.0 coilovers, it'll fit but it'll look higher on the front than the back (cuz the engine's lighter).
Any suggestions? Performance chips that'll fit? Not an exhaust fan... i think they make more noise than HPs.
Engine specs:
1.3
16 valve
Single cam
Fuel cut's @ 7.400rpm ... vid here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIEr1MoX7sAP.D. Sorry if my english's not perfect. I try my best.

I own a 2006 2.4 automatic Lancer ES Wagon (Sports back). All round its a pretty good car but seriously let down by not having an overdrive on a 4 speed box. This means at 110 Kph (aprox 65Mph) it sits on 3000 rpm, which makes it pretty thirsty. My question is, is this simply an overlook on Mitsubishi's part or should the car be doing something that it isn't. ie drive lock converter not working or something up with the chip. Are there any other 2.4 ES Auto owners out there can you tell me if this is normal?

Hey guys.. Im new.. and im just looking for the cover that goes to the stock air filter.. my brother drives the 02 lancer and thought it would be a good idea to remove the cover to make an intake.. yea so now hes throwing o2 sensor codes and cat codes.. they told him it was because the cover to the stock intake was removed? if this sound valid.. i would like to know if anyone is willing to sell theirs if they are not useing it... the dealershit wants like 116 or 126 for it.. or the whole thing.. lol dont have that kind of money to spend on something small and simple like this.... thanks guys i appericate you taking the time and reading this! and lets not bust on my bro.. i do that enough.. he has this lancer because we talked him out of the little civic with the giant wing! ;]

I know I'm a complete newbie at actually upgrading the car, so please have a soft heart. As far as I know, there are no performance mods to this car, even though it may be possible since I bought this 2004 Lancer ES 5spd used with sat radio, rims, stereo, and dark tint. I was planning on adding a Ralliart spoiler (is eBay a reliable place, or would I be better off having it done at the dealership?), a CAI, and an ECU. For now, I'd like to find out about the ECU:
It is possible to tune it to high-octane fuel, correct?
If I tune it to premium, there will certainly be a performance increase and I will use less gasoline, correct?
Do the gasoline savings make up for the higher price; that is: Would I be spending similar $ per km, or vastly different amounts, assuming I drive the same way I do now?
I doubt I will turbo this car, so would a piggyback be enough? Is there a difference between piggyback and standalone I'm missing besides nativity?
Which one might be the best, easiest, and cheapest (I'll consider both kinds, unless one is silly for my case) for adjusting air to fuel ratios? I don't think I need many more options than that if I'm only tuning to accommodate higher-octane fuel, a CAI, and maybe an exhaust, right?
Thanks for all your help!
P.S. One last thing: My little 4G94 doesn't have a supercharger, right? It sounds like it does at higher revolutions, and it pulls away tidily if I step on it, but I read elsewhere that that isn't included.

I am looking into getting a SRI for my 02 OZ Rally, it' an AT. I have been looking and have found the Injen SRI for about $190 shipped and the RRM SRI for about $165-170 shipped. I was wondering if either one of these is better than the other, also if there is a better brand than the two I am looking at. Are these pretty good prices or could I expect lower if I look harder. Thanks.

So, yesterday i was driving along, and i was behind someone turning, and after they turned which i had to slow down for, i went to accelerate and my car didnt respond when i pressed the pedal, then, i looked down, and the tachometer was, at zero indicating that my car was no longer running.
So i got it towed home, i took off the intake hose, so i could attempt to start it with starter fluid, thinking it was my fuel pump/filter/injectors. No such luck, it still wouldn't start.
And it is almost impossible to find a diagram showing where my spark plugs are/how to access them without buying a manual....and the nearest manual to me for my car. is over 35 miles....no easy feat since...my car wont start lol.
The ignition is attempting to turn over, but the car just wont start....HELP PUHWEASE
EDIT: Found the spark plugs, and found out my timing belt isnt going ANYWHERE when i try to start it......big uh oh. Was able to get the belt off, but i cannot get it back on, anyone know how to loosen the tensioner?

I'm at the point with my 06 lancer es 4G94 block that I need to make a decision. NA or turbo. The classic debate. I recently came across a twin throttle body manifold idea that I've latched onto rather firmly despite my infallible love of the wastegate sound. *shudders and grins* I like to think of my knowledge on engines as well informed, but I've never ripped one apart. Yet. Has anyone had experience with multiple throttle body setups, and any horror stories? I know I will probably blow my first modded engine eventually due to my tinkering nature, but it hasn't happened yet and I'd like to hold off on that path for awhile, money issues and all that. So both NA and turbo comments would be welcome. Any experience with the 4G94 internals and advice relating to would be greatly appreciated as well.

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to get a full exhaust system for my 07 lancer but am not sure what is available or what is good..
I have a body kit that does not show the tip of the exhaust so it cant be hanging out the back of the car..
I also wanted to know what kinda of difference this might make in regards to power for the car and if the sound will be good?
I don't want it to sound too loud but a nice sporty kinda sound..
Any help is appreciated
Cheers
