Hello To All, I am new to this sight and think it is going to help me alot on my truck. I bought this 2007 Mitsubishi Raider crew cab truck off of the internet two weeks ago, It has got 56,000 miles on it and I should have took a trip and looked at it b-4 I bought it. I had it one week and a friend of mine was getting in on the passegar side and seen the cord sticking through on the rear tire, I had to buy a $180.00 tire. Well now the right side headlight has gone out. I have got the light and can anyone tell me the easiest way to change it. I like the truck but the gas mileage is not good and I think it has been hit pretty hard in the front, the dealer I bought it from in S.C. said that it check out to be a good truck from his service department, I hope it will last me until I get back to getting around again from a heart attack, I need to get this light fix as soon as possible any help will be appreciated. Thanks

2007 w/auto. transmission. After sitting up a day or so, or if a cold night, the transmission is extremely sluggish to the point of barely moving forward. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello everyone. I have a 07 Mitsu Raider, QC, 3.7, auto, 4x4. I have a question about the transmisson at slow speeds. I have seen several posts in other forums about trans issues at higher speeds and noticed a thread or two about the torque converters. My problem is a pulse or surging when the truck is barely moving. I notice this every time, not just occasionally. Again, the best way to describe it is a pulse, or surge that can be felt throughout the truck. It's not a miss and it's not a bounce in the suspension. The truck really moves just a little as you feel it pulse. I really notice it at a drive through or waiting in a line of traffic. Took it to the dealer and they were able to duplicate but said "it's normal" and that the dakota's all do it too. I'm not an idiot and I know that this is the standard answer the first few times for most dealers, but I wanted to see if others have experienced this and if so have you been able to remedy. After searching several dodge and mitsu forums I have not been able to find anyone with the problem I describe (making me wonder if it truly is normal) but maybe no one else is as annoyed by it as I am. This looks to be a great forum so I choose to post here for a few responses before going back to the dealer for round two. Thanks for the anticipated help!

Hello guys(and girls)
Well I'm new here, this is actually my first post. The thing is, when I recently bought my 06 Raider Durocross V8 I was told by one of the dealers that my specific model( extended cab, not double cab) is very very rare. He went as far as to say there is only 6 raiders like it. I'm not sure if I could believe that, and i definitely didnt make my purchase based on that but now I'm left wondering. Has anybody heard about this? I have never seen another durocross V8 extended cab, but then again ALL the Raider trucks are relatively rare.
Thanks guys!

I just bought an '07 Raider and appears it has a factory bedliner (has the Mitsu logo anyway). I'm in the market for a hard tonneau or possibly a retractable since I'm not too uptight about losing some bed room.
Will the Dodge Dakota tonneau's fit the Raider? Not just a fit that'll work, but a genuinely GOOD fit.
Kind of pricey, the
Retrax looks good for a retractable.
The
Undercover looks to be a good choice for a hardtop but don't list the Raider as an available model.
Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.

Have a 2007 Crew Cab with factory bedliner and bed caps. Looking at Bakflip G2 cover, and wondering if anyone has used it yet. Also considering Extang Solid Fold. Would prefer not to have to cut on bedliner or caps. Thanks.

I have a new 2006 mitsubishi raider. when i am driving on highway the truck will not go over 100mph. It feels like its going to stall when it hits 100mph. Does anyone else have this problem? Does my raider have speed restrictor on it. How do i get rid of it? I would like to be able to go over 100mph in my truck. If i would have know that i would not have bought the truck.

Does anyone have experience with putting a cold-air intake system into a 2006 (or any year) Durocross Raider, V6? I've heard better gas mileage, increase of up to 10hp. I'm finding them for around $300. Let me know if it's a waste of money. I have a K&N Air filter on now and a 3" Gibson exhaust system which opened up the airflow some to give more torque. The one thing the V6 raider is missing is horsepower. They made the 2006 with 210hp, even my wifes trailblazer has 245. Don't know what they were thinking there.
Thanks

Hey guys, I have a similar forum topic going, but no response. I have an 07 Raider Durocross. It's a V6 and I have a K&N air filter and Borla ProXS muffler. I had my mechanic saw off the first resonator (after the cat back) b/c the sound wasn't any different. We left the back resonator on. It's got a decent sound, good low tone at low rpm but a little raspy at high rpm. I've heard different opinions on the resonators. Does anyone know if taking them both off will mess up backflow and lower torque? My guy tells me it will do both and be overall louder, but that's about it. I had another guy tell me to leave both resonators on for best performance. Anyone know what the resonators off/on will really do and should I remove the one before the tip? Thanks!

Also, I am thinking about a cover for the bed. Any good recommendations?

Hello,
I have a 06 Mit Raider V8 crew cab. After the first couple of months, when we put the truck in park or drive, it makes a fairly loud kerchunk noise. We took it to the dealership and they said it's a normal characteristic, however they issued a service bulliten and we need to meet with the factory rep. Has anyone else experienced the noise?
I also can't find the make and model of the stereo that came with the truck. The dealer told me I would need to pull it out and look at the top of the unit. I know the speakers are Alpine, the unit is a 6 cd changer with Sirrus radio. The CD text titles don't assocoate correctly with the songs on the CD and the same CD text is fine in other car stereos.
Thanks in advance

To start it off i enjoy the raider even if it is a dakoda. But the service and custermer sadifaction is not there. I bought this 07 used with 17k on it around 17.5k notice water coming inside when parked in my driveway after a rain. First thought I had left the window down but it happen again a few days later during a rain in the driveway again. Yet not when driving. I took it to a Mitu dealer they checked it out and found it was leaking so they had me bring it back to reseal the windsheild. That didnt work for a week later same problem took it back amd 4 hours later they said have to bring it back so they could take the dash out. So this past thur I droped it off at 9 in the morning I didnt hear from them untill I called on Fri at 4:30 they said that it was all new to them and they were taking it easy. They had to get the informatiom on how to pull the dash from the Dodge Dealership and lots of calls for help. They had the dash out and they knew ware it was leaking from but not the cause said Ok asked about a loaner car thats where this goes south. They told me that under the warrantiy that it was not covered because that is not dealing with the drivetrain and would not be covered under the rules that are set up for loaners. But hello you cant drive the truck without the steering wheel or the dash, You do need it to control the drivetrain. So on monday just before noon I called and they basicly had done nothing to the truck. Yet maybe 2-3 weeks if they have to put it in the bodyshop so they agreed to 1 day rental Im in contact with mits usa about this will post a follow up.

I just picked up a 2006 Raider DuroCross, and so far I love it. My only gripe is that the stereo (6-disc changer + Sirius) doesn't seem to have an aux audio input for my MP3 player.
The prior owner decided to keep the subwoofer, so there's a handful of wires coming out of the floor in the back:
[attachmentid=8561]
The black wire on the left is teasing me... it's a standard 1/8" stereo jack that's just begging to be plugged into my MP3 player, but since there's no aux input mode on the stereo itself, I doubt that's what its for.
Can somebody identify those wires for me?
Thanks!

What are some good mods i can get for my new 08 Raider
I dont know the exact model, but its Black, has a V6, and has 4drs, and the Brushed looking alloy wheels.
I am looking for a sound system but where would i put the Subwoofer?, do the 40/20/40 Seats fold up, and if so How do i make them fold up. Would i also have to remove the Indash Console and replace it with a custom one.
I noticed this image:

, I do like that, but i dont want someone breaking in and trying to steal it.
For Wheels, im not really concerend on them, but i wouldnt mind replacing the stock with some Black wheels. So if anyone has pics of a raider with some custom rims that would be great.
and the last thing i am looking to do is to make the Engine sound Louder (mufflers)..
Is there more that i have to do rather then just take the current muffler out and replace witha new one. If anyone has a guide on how to do this that would also be great.. I dont plan on doing it myself but i just want to know the work involved in this.
And Prices, how much should each thing cost me.. and if you have any other mods, please let me know.. Thanks
***Pics are always great

Hello all,
I have a 2006 V8 raider 2WD four door crew cab or whatever it is. I don't pull anything and am not a speed freak. I'm looking for ways to improve my mpg that don't cost an arm and a leg. I have calculated my mpg since I bought the car about six months ago. I get an average of about 15.5 mpg. The vehicle is completely stock.
What things are the best bang for the buck when it comes to mileage?
- New plugs? I have heard that this can help.
- Cold air intake.
- Truck bed cover.
I have also been thinking about having it reprogrammed.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

[I][COLOR=purple]Has anybody heard about spindles for an 07 Raider yet? I am going to do a flip, and would like some spindles. If I can find about 2.5" I can mod the spring caps for the rest, 5" mod is just to much to keep the suspinsion working right. Any info would be great.
Thanks

Hi gang,
My dealer added a Aluminum Billet Grille which nicely dresses up the front. (1st mod not shown here)

But I'm looking for suggestions on which tonneau cover to go with??? I'm leaning towards the Pace Edwards. What do you think?
I'm enjoying this truck very much so far...It's so unique in stylee points. I had a 99 Dakota before and this is much nicer than that truck. Many people have asked me about it. Jaws drop when I tell them how inexpensive it was. Only drawback so far...its one thirsty V8.
Any input on which tonneau cover to go with?
Attached r som pics. Happy Holidays.

Hi all, just got a new 07 crew cab Raider! Great truck, and pretty easy on gas so far (went 600 miles @ 22 mpg average) It's the v-6 model. A local dealer went to Detroit and picked up a boatload of these and is blowing them out for less than
$19,000! These are loaded, bed liners and bed rail caps, chrome exhaust tip, auto pw,pdl,ps,power mirrors, cruise, tilt, splash guards, alum. stepbars, 16" alum wheels, keyless entry, slidding rear window, sat. radio, v-6, 2wd. I don't miss my old truck in any catorgory except the room, but not much competes with a Nissan Titan, powerwise this truck is just as good as the Titan going 70-75 MPH, it just doesn't do it quite as fast on takeoff, but after getting 13-15 MPG I had enough! Great trucks-so far-we'll see how well they hold up!! C-YA

Im sure many of you have already addressed this upon the vehicles release, but i just want to post to get some more opinions on your current view of the vehicle. What do you think is good?
What could have been done better?
Have any of you seen the "street raider" concept? give you opinion on it
What do you like best about the concept , because somethings on the concept are not feasible for a product car.
PLEASE SEE LINK BELOW TO VIEW STREET RAIDER CONCEPT
and proceed to vote in the poll related to this topic.

I recently got sent to training and as soon as I entered the shop there were two new preproduction raiders inside. Peronally I think it looks alot better than a dakota. But you will see as they should be arriving at the dealers late september or early october.
