After having participated here just a few times over the last couple of months, I felt compelled to share that initial "Post Topic" experience I had with some "Veterans" (see copy 'n pasted text below) with those "Newbys" and other "Visitors" that may be inclined to read it over Here in "New Member" Topic-Land. There's truely a wealth of information to be gleaned of this site, and I've found that it's been very well orgianized and run! Tread it well and deep while looking for what you need to learn of Your Fix-it endeavor all the while knowing that -- dispite SOME people perhaps seeming a bit craggy of "Tude" -- that's just the "Kitchen" your workin' in, where the "Chef's" can be very helpful indeed for sharing their experience and knowledge...dispite "The HEAT!" ; )

(For the whole shlemeel go see "Valve Guide Seals Surgury w/Heads ON" thread in the Montero, etc. forum)

Everyone:

I joined this "Forum" lookin' to network with others that appreciate Diamond Star Engineering as much as I do -- to share experiences and knowledge in the endeavor of better understanding this particular product for IT's unique charecteristics, and thus more correctly and effectively fix things vs. simply takin' "Hip-Shots" by replacing parts 'till something ELSE happens -- as-is the Industry of "Mechanics" so much today as it ever has been...'cause I "Speak-Up" Mitsubishi whenever My opinion is asked!

Now I can appreciate various opinions, both Objective AND Subjective (though Sodomizing Honda is a streatch... ; ), and having No Fear of jumpin' into the fire to do so, truely invite "Constructive Criticism" futher of that...but some responses to My posts so far can be only be interpreted as nothing less than Bullys tryin' to start some sh*t!

And THAT is the World of "Mechanics" isn't it...always a few hangin' it this-or-that corner of the proverbial Shop that -- for maybe having left the shop-doors closed while diagnosing Mis-Fires or having soaked their selves a lil' too much in in Carb-Cleaner/Solvent over their (FILL-IN-THE-BLANK) years of Wrenchin' -- have, can, and DO fix things with enough frequency that they continue actually doing so (arguably) "Professionally"...this dispite their apparant frustration(s) with "Life" or "Change" regarding everythning from part-numbers to "Specs" to "Platform" -- or whatever otherwise -- for their inability thus to interactively socialize "civilly" with others, but rather prefering to come-across as some manner of maniacal sociopathic "F**k UR STUPID 'n I'm ALWAYS right!!!" wing-nut?

It might work for "House" (perhaps "MAD JAX" too), and dude from "Orange County Choppers", then there's the one's mockin' "Columbo"? I digress...

Post WTF You will -- just as I will too! -- 'cause the last thing I'm gonna do is tell the Moderator of this or anyone ELSES forum how to run their Gig, and thus people will see it for what it is...That is the foundation of "Free Speach", and like the T-Shirt says: "Your problem is obvious"

Now back to Topic:

That MD 998772-A "Valve Spring Removal Tool" has been discontinued through Mitsubishi...a bitch 'cause it's twice the cost through Miller, and I'd really like using it over the "Universal" one (available from the Tool Trucks) I'm using that takes three-hands : /

Hey! Yep, M&M ~ I'm back : ) Not sorry I wuz gone-so-long though...but gee, did You 'n "Honda-Humper" really miss Me : ?

(lol) BTW, that Montero -- the one that I properly diagnosed having bad Guide Seals, and then "fixed-right the first-time" -- is finally back for somethin' else what, nearly two-years later : ?

Wait, I guess I did have it back earlier than now for an LOF "Check-up" or two since...and then there is that intermittant stall-at-stops (non-verifiable, but reportedly always re-starts) it's had since day-one of it's 12 yrs. running 'n operation : ?

Yep, I just know you guys will have a hard time wrappin' your head around the fact that there's actually a few "problems" gone-down out-there that I "MAD JAX" ever figured out...because I don't throw parts-like-darts at 'em tryin' ~ such as SOME insinuate is OK and "Good for Business"...dispite the customer having to pay-twice : ?

I digress...It's a new-day, wtf!

Today? Now They say it needs a rear-diff ~ well, that's what They think it needs...(according to what OTHER Mechanics and "The Internet" may-say for whatever noises it's makin' 'n such ; )

My point here is that ~ for My previous "Work" no-doubt ~ it's actually running good-enough @ 200+ K.mi. for them to consider reparing the vehicle vs. replacing it...and that's "Good Business".

In returning (here & now) I happend upon you 'n Honda-Humperz "Posts" in reply to my "There are NO Dumb Questions" comment(s)...and Yours regarding "Come-backs" is a real jewel (lol)

Before I get into this latest automotive-colonostomy ~ 'n ask if anyone here's ever "Got Diff ???" before I try rebuilding it myself ~ I'd just like to say:

"Hey, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and/or Krazy Kwanza -- whatever you'n Yours is inclined to do!" ~ to the whole "Party" here yeah, but especially to You Two!

Here's to hope that all-is-well (or at least Over-Easy ; )

Now, getcher arses' back-to-work...guys (?) like You are good for (My) Business!

Now, getcher arses' back-to-work...guys (?) like You are good for (My) Business!

still a DRAMA QUEEN, that talks too,much....

fix the effin car!
